Some other moments: Finally finding a Cube that wasnt sold out on launch day (believe it or not). Realizing that my tiny, half-size disk playing Cube was every bit as powerful as the giant mess that was Xbox for 150 bucks less. Here in the States, 150 bucks can buy FOUR seperate DVD players...FOUR!!! Despite its goofy purple lunchbox appearance, the size and power and price of the Gamecube was truly a marvel at launch.

A few more: The tank boss in MGS, for some reason was the longest boss battle ever for me but loved every second of it Eternal Darkness, the gruesome end to Chapter 7 was another jaw dropper And paying $10 bucks for Beach Spikers and having hours and hours of drunken multiplayer

What 3 LAUNCH games would you want to see most from 3RD PARTY developers?? My list would look like this: Street Fighter 4 (capcom), Dragon Warrior 9 (square), Legend of Kage (not sure who made that one, but im thinking Taito)

Yeah man, Double Dragon and Simon's Quest both definately need a next-gen update. I actually prefer it too, though Circle of the Moon is pretty sweet too. Some good replies on this thread, its safe to say we all want Resi 5. Lets hope some of these 3rd party reps are listening.

Ive thought about this too, i dont think Nintendo even wants all the PS3/360 ports. And rightly so. Nintendo wants to create a different experience and have a vastly different library than its competitors. Just look at the DS library compared to the PSP for reference.

Good point, but i can only invest so much in these systems and my next purchase is gonna be a console. I really wanna see what these high-end consoles can do with 2-D other than ports and retro compilations. As good at these handhelds are, they arent for me, id rather play on the big screen anyday.

Thats all well and good Jim, but how bout showing us some games already. Its excruciating to see a new 360/PS3 game announced on a daily basis. Go to any video game website and find hordes of screenshots and movies of next gen games. But not even a piffling screenshot of a Revo game. Hell, even some concept art would be nice at this point.

Man, im tired of 3-D games. As long as the Rev dishes out plenty of super sharp 2-D games i could care less if theyre a lil underpowered. My feeling with this generation of graphics was, after 2 years , they felt stale, just like the N64 before it. After 2 years or 3 years of 360/Rev/PS3 graphics, theyre probably gonna feel stale too. Anyway im ranting, but please Nintendo, give me a 2-D sequel to Super Metroid (none of this Prime nonsense), Kid Icarus, and Punch-Out and ill be good to go for another 5 years

Im in the minority here but id love it if they did SSB in 1-on-1 Street Fighter 2 style mechanics. Bigger characters, deeper fighting, and less clutter, do we really 100 items bouncing around the screen??
