    How good is upper league this season? 6 teams within 3 points of top spot, and two relegation spots wide open to the middle league of no return!

     

    By the way, any chance of another cup season any time soon? It was so much fun!

     

    A few managers weren't too happy with it overall so probably not. Maybe for our 50th season!

     

    We can always do a cup in the off season but we never get the interest.

     

    @Tales I'm sure it won't be long before your team is ready to dominate once again!

    SLAM! The barman placed my drink in front of me and I lost my train of thought. I'm not sure I wanted to remember it anyway... I took my time to enjoy the bourbon as I had managed to calm down on my own by now. I looked around the bar, taking in the atmosphere and the clientele. My eyes settled on a man sat at the other end of the bar. His hair was windswept and his face was red. I looked down to his shoes and saw a final clump of snow drop into a small puddle of water under his bar stool. I caught his eye and his reaction told me everything. This was the man whose footprints I had followed to get here.

    It felt like hours before I reached our meeting point but I know it had only taken one. The snow and the cold had made it a difficult and perilous journey. As I approached the small, isolated cabin I felt relieved. I could see a warm glow through the windows which meant the fire was roaring. Not only would it be warm inside but it meant she would be in there. I waited on the door step for a minute but again it felt like hours. What will I say to her? I thought. Somehow I summoned the courage to go inside and the door creaked open as soon as I touched it. The interior of the cabin came slowly into view as the door opened and I couldn't believe what I saw... she wasn't there

    Yeah you're in a very unfortunate position now, sorry about that :(

     

    My only advice is to keep your head up. Playing against stronger teams gives you better match experience even when you're losing so play a squad for DV and keep form up with training and you should have a good season even if you don't win many games. Next season the strongest teams will be gone and some weaker teams will filter down from the middle league so it should be more manageable.

     

    @dan\-likes\-trees fantastic post dude, you've done a great job there :) maybe it would be nice if you posted it on the xpert forum too for the new teams to see how involved we can be? Or I can post it if you like.

    Right, that's enough to get started for now, I'll get the first paragraph up this evening.

    Moving forwards I'll try to have an ever changing order, so people aren't always going after the same person. I'm hoping that people will be able to do their entries quite quickly, to keep things fresh and moving forwards. Ideally within 24 hours (or much less), but I'll give up to 48 hours. If you know that you're going to be busy or away then let me know and I'll adjust the order accordingly.

     

    People can feel free to sign up at any time along the way. Additionally if further down the line you need to drop out then let me know.

     

    I've started the story. Ashley will write the next paragraph.

    I watched series 2 on Netflix some time last week and thought it was brilliant. I watched them all in a row and had to laugh when I went downstairs and saw my stepsister sat in the front room, TV on, laptop on and doing something on her phone.

    The merge is set guys. I'll still be updating this thread but I think users of this forum are now a minority in our Xpert League lol. While we're still here though I'll be updating both here and on Xpert.

     

    The season will be starting on the 9th or the 6th at the earliest. I'll press the GO button no later than Sunday, just waiting to hear from the merged managers to make sure we're all set.

     

    The VIP games will still be going ahead, we'll still have the alliance, spotlight and prediction competitions. I'll go through and find out who's in the lottery for a VIP prize for the season we just had. I'll probably make a post on Sunday for that :)
