  1. EU Referendum - In/Out?

As someone who's developed a deep interest in this issue all of a sudden I have two questions: 1.Has anyone on this forum who is also a minority faced any discrimination before and/or after the vote? I'll admit I haven't read the entire thread though--just the previous page. But I'd love to know any details. 2. What do you make of this:

  4. What Have You Bought?

I'm not going to buy this, but I thought I'd share it anyway: http://beyondbasick.com/products/the-master-sword-pendant?variant=1268931339
  5. New monitor

For an extra £20 or so you can buy an IPS monitor. You get much better color accuracy and viewing angles, and honestly, you won't want to go back to anything else. Either way the ones you linked to are pretty good. Here's the one I have: http://www.amazon.co.uk/LG-27EA33V-27-inch-IPS-Monitor/dp/B00APUP1D6/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1426510166&sr=8-2&keywords=LG+ips+27
  6. Video editing is a big part of my job, so I highly recommend you build a system that fits the type of content you'll be exporting. My editing rig is an overclocked 3770k and 8 GB of DDR3 RAM, with a 660 Ti so I can play games. I've never had any problems with it and the longest thing I've ever edited was a half-hour episode for a TV show. I don't push beyond 1080p, and I haven't experienced any bottlenecks with the amount of memory I have, although I do plan to upgrade when time proves it necessary. If all you're doing is making videos for the web, then any modest gaming machine will do the job just fine. If you want a better example of how extreme these things can go and how much horsepower you actually need to get a job done, watch this video:
  7. The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D

This is exactly why I'm torn between the two. I've played both games as a kid, and I only have $50 to spend in the eShop. OoT has more content, but MM has the appeal of being the newer release. It's either that or I split the money to buy Snake Eater 3D and Phoenix Wright: Dual Destinies. I felt the same way with some other 'upgrades' in OoT. There's the fairy fountain outside Ganon's castle that you can only reach once you have the Golden Gauntlets (which also become obsolete after you use them). The upgrade you get to your health isn't used after the final battle with Ganon either since you've already beaten the game, so it felt just as useless in that regard.
  8. The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D

As someone with some extra cash to spare for a 3D Zelda game, which one is the more compelling buy? OoT or MM? I can only purchase one or the other at the moment.
  9. What Have You Bought?

In case anyone's unaware, there's a pretty sweet humble bundle going on right now:
  10. What Have You Bought?

Not a purchase, but I have three invites for 64 GB Sandstone Black OnePlus Ones. They expire in 6 days, so PM me if you'd like an invite.

This is the first picture I've posted here in the years since I first started the User Image Gallery. Might as well get a feel for the water by starting with something small:
  13. My 10 year anniversary

Oh yeah, I remember now. There was an announcement on the front page (back when it was a two-column ordeal with a Hypernia theme) and that was what prompted me to sign up. Good times.
  14. My 10 year anniversary

Other than the early days of the User Image Gallery I don't recall being too connected to this site to remember anything noteworthy, and I'm not sure if that's a good or bad thing. I totally understand the sort of bond one can experience with a group of strangers on an internet discussion board. I just don't think I've been involved enough to have that go on here, since I use this place as a sort of retreat from work and the struggles of my personal life. Isn't it kind of strange that a lot of us joined in September of 2005? Ehh, whatever. I've been visiting since this site since way back when it was n64-europe (around late 2000-early 2001 or so). Where's my tenure for being an old-school regular?
  15. OnePlus One - No invite needed

I've had it for a few weeks now; got it when they had their first batch of pre-orders in October and I had to wait a little longer for it to be sent to me here in Cairo. It's SO good that today I ordered two extra phones for my family members. Even if you already have a phone, I highly recommend buying one or two and selling them online. Once the no-invite window is closed there will always be those clamoring to get their hands on the phone, even if they have to pay a little extra for it. I've had absolutely no problems with it so far and I honestly haven't been this satisfied with a gadget in years. Maybe it's the satisfaction of having such a good value for money, I dunno. But that's not the point. The point is, you should buy this in a heartbeat. Don't let my excitement scare you away from it. BUY IT NOW. And root it. Always root your Android devices. EDIT: If you'd rather wait, rumor has it the Oneplus Two will be launching in Q2 of 2015. Not that great of an upgrade though. Reliable sources say the specs will be an upgrade to the CPU (Snapdragon 805) and a slight bump to the camera (18 megapixels). The 5.5-inch display and internal storage options (16 and 64 GB with no expandable SD slot) will remain the same. There's even a Oneplus One Mini coming out, rocking a 5-inch display: http://www.technobuffalo.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/oneplus-one-mini-2.jpg
