COMPETITION TIME! Tomorrow I will open my island (Cinnabar) at 3pm. Somewhere on the island will be a hidden item (I’m not giving clues ) which you are all welcome to come and try to find. I don’t imagine it will be that challenging, as it’s not as if you can truly hide something from complete view, but I have tried to make it at least a little tricky. I would love for you to all come along (those who are available) to try and find it. It’s yours to keep if you do too. The more the merrier, as it would perhaps work better as a “who can find it first” rather than one person just trawling the whole island until they find it! I can change the time to suit more people as I will be around most of the day. But it would be great for you to come along and give it a go together!

Preordered a Sony Xperia 1 Mark 2 (awful name). Comes with the WH-1000XM3 headphones which I’ve eyed up for a while now. It’s an expensive phone, (£1100 outright or thereabouts) but the o2 refresh trick means it will cost about £790 and the free headphones too make it a pretty sweet deal. If I don’t like the headphones I could sell them on and make it even cheaper!

Has anyone ever experienced not being able to go onto a residents house? Guessing this is a bug? Bill is the only one home as his curtains open and smoke is coming from his chimney, but when I press A near his door nothing happens. It’s as if the button isn’t registering. But it works for everything else? What gives?! EDIT - Google’d it and it’s a known issue. Restarting the whole console seems to fix it.

I personally don’t mind too much what it looks like. Most people ram it under their tv units these days and be done with it. I’m more interested in the controller which looks oh so delicious to me. There were a tonne of games I was interested in with that last night. Ratchet and Clank being the biggest. Man I love those games. The Sack Boy platformer also looked great and there were a couple of interesting mini trailers for new games that looked like they’d be up my street. I will likely get one at launch although I can’t see myself going digital only like a few of you are leaning towards. The digital console looks better, but I generally prefer buying games on disc unless the store has a sale on something I wouldn’t ordinarily pay full price for.

Yeah totally agree with that. But for the numbers this game has sold, it seems like more people will have already played it than those who are still to start. Could be wrong. But things like inventory management, being able to eat more than one piece of fruit etc, all should have been patched much much earlier IMO.

Yeah I hear you. It almost feels too little too late for a lot of updates now though, don’t you think? Like I have both islands almost finished from an aesthetic standpoint, and all the items I wanted I’ve managed to get from other people. Which has been part of the fun of the game to be honest! But once all these updates do come (if they ever do) can I enjoy them as much having already sunk in so many hundreds of hours? It’s a tough one. Naturally, newer shops and upgrades to existing shops would be welcome and I could enjoy that hugely even with completed islands, but there are so many other things I feel should and could have been updated by now.

Yup. Finally did it until she suggested moving in Lionels place. So he’s off! Ordinarily I’d wait until someone said they wanted to leave (who I wasn’t fond of) and then do Nook tours until I found a nice new villager. But last time that happened I didn’t get round to doing a mystery island tour the same day the plot became available, and the next day someone had just randomly moved into it. Which I was not happy about!

This “game” that you have to play with camp site visitors to get them to move to your island is absolutely painful. Not only do they offer you awful clothing (:D) but when they eventually say they could move here it is almost impossible to get the bloody card suite correct! I just need them to replace a resident I don’t like but I’ve been chatting to Blaire the squirrel now for 15 minutes!!!!

Going to close up as need to do some more terraforming . If anyone desperately wants to see Celeste for a DIY I can reopen later. Got the Nova Light which I’m chuffed with!

Celeste is on Cinnabar. I will open up to all. Not sure there's a meteor shower - it's overcast. But the DIY is up for grabs.

Does anyone have the coconut drink DIY (I think it’s a DIY?!) I need some for my beach area - happy to bring some coconuts over if that’s what the recipe calls for?! I can also water

Thanks for all who watered the flowers on Cinnabar yesterday whilst selling turnips. I checked this morning and there’s all sorts of flowers sprouting that I didn’t even realised would! Like gold roses! And finally, the first purple hyacinth! Isabelle wanted more flowers and she got them. So this has now happened too! And I still have so much to do!
