After it had been off the air for eighteen years. So if there's no new Stargate TV show in the next two decades, maybe then you'll have a point. Edit: Also, The Simpsons, Gunsmoke, Law & Order and several other TV shows have had longer runs than Stargate, but that doesn't make the show's run any less impressive. So I'm not sure what point you're trying to make.

Stargate had seventeen seasons in fourteen years, though. That's shorter than the break between the original Star Trek and Next Generation.

To be fair, Atlantis was doing quite well and was popular with the fans, but they canceled it anyway. And seventeen seasons all in all is a fantastic run by anyone's standards.

The biggest problem with playing Ocarina of Time today is that if you've played the sequels, you're going to recognize a lot of stuff and it won't feel as new as it did back in 1998. The Wind Waker was my first 3D Zelda and there were a lot of things that felt really new and fresh in that game that I later realized they'd just stolen/kept from Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask. It's a great game, but you're never going to get the same experience as the people who played it back when it was new. Not that you can't enjoy older games, of course. I didn't get into Western RPGs until after Mass Effect was released, and I'd put games like Fallout, Baldur's Gate 2 and Planescape: Torment on any list of the best games ever. A good game will always be a good game.

I had this one (still do in a box somewhere). Okay, so it's not an action figure, but the miniatures were way cooler. Also, all those 'special versions' of the Turtles on that website bring back some disappointing memories. Nothing worse than to finally get that Donatello you wanted, only to have him be a zombie/turn into a car/have wind-up legs. Things should look like what they're supposed to look like.

By going back to play a role she's already portrayed in three movies, though? As far as branching out goes, that's pretty weak.

Toki Tori is great if you like puzzle games. Amnesia is also supposed to be really good if you're into horror games. Don't get The Wonderful End of the World, obviously.

Haha, fair enough. And all this time I thought I just had an unusually great taste in movies. :p My first thought was "they should pay her more on How I Met Your Mother so she doesn't have to do trash like this", but I'd probably sign up too if I were her. They probably had a lot of fun making the American Pie movies all those years ago.

Play the co-op mode in Portal 2 with her instead. It's a win-win.

Ugh, you have to wonder about teachers sometimes. I once had a teacher write "this is worse than cheating - this is plagiarism" after I'd quoted something and had the source right next to the quote. The same teacher also didn't understand how you could get several different percentages from the same source. In the end I just deleted everything he didn't like and handed in a butchered essay.

At least now we know how those Facebook rumors started.
