  2. DC Cinematic Universe Discussion

I want an epic two part Justice League story with some New Gods shit in there. I'd settle for the Legion of Doom though.
  3. Arrow (TV Show)

Oh yeah has it been mentioned here that Constantine is going to be in Arrow S4 for one episode? Same actor.
  4. Arrow (TV Show)

That's quite the upgrade. Speaking of DC TV shows I just watched the Lucifer pilot. I haven't read the source material so I cant comment on that but I loved it. Lucifer is so fucking much fun to watch, especially the therapist scene.
  5. Dying Light

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment today announces Dying Light, a first-person, action survival horror video game with a portentous day-night cycle set in a vast open world. Currently under development by Techland, the game will be available in 2014 for Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation®4, plus Xbox 360, PlayStation®3 system, and PC. During the day, players will traverse an expansive urban environment overrun by a vicious outbreak, scavenging the world for supplies and crafting weapons to defend against the growing infected population. At night, the hunter becomes the hunted, as the infected become aggressive and more dangerous. Most frightening are the predators which only appear after sundown. Players must use everything in their power to survive until the morning's first light. "We are excited to partner with Techland on Dying Light, which is an original gaming experience for next-generation consoles," said Kevin Kebodeaux, Senior Vice President, Sales and Operations, Americas, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. "The partnership with Techland allows us to combine their successful development capabilities with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment's one-of-a-kind publishing expertise to deliver on this title." "The next-gen technology allows us to create a truly dynamic open world that features a game-changing day-night cycle," said Paweł Marchewka, CEO of Techland. "Inventive free running mechanics also allow for nearly unrestricted exploration and weapon-crafting to further enhance the action survival experience." Players must use everything in their power to survive until the morning’s first light. Survive the Night - During the day, players roam free and scavenge for supplies and weapons. But at night, the world undergoes a deadly transformation: the hunter becomes the hunted as the infected grow more aggressive and numerous, and something far more sinister awakens to stalk its prey. Free Running Movement - Whether tracking prey or escaping predators, Dying Light lets players swiftly navigate the world by seamlessly leaping between buildings, grappling up walls and pouncing on unsuspecting enemies. Welcome to the Quarantine - Dying Light is set in a vast open world, delivering expansive and varied environments, a wide variety of enemy classes and a hopeless tale of survival where resources are scarce and the infected are not the only threat. Brutal Melee and Ranged Combat - get up-close using a variety of light and heavy weapons including knives, bats, axes, sledgehammers and more exotic weaponry or utilize guns and other firepower to take down enemies from a distance. Choose Your Play Style - Dying Light features four playable characters that can be fully customized and upgraded to match any play style. Craft Your Weapon - Why use a wrench when you can use a wrench wrapped in electrified barb wire? Dying Light’s sizeable crafting system enables players to create a slew of new, more potent weapons and equipment, as well as specialized ammunition. Breathtaking Visuals and Gameplay - Dying Light is the first game powered by Chrome Engine 6, a cutting edge incarnation of Techland’s proprietary technology, designed from the ground up for the new console generation, DirectX 11 and other advanced solutions. 6. Interesting that people are making the assumption that the NX version will be based on the PS4 game. Not knowing what the NX is makes guesswork for this interesting. It could be based on the 3DS version.
  7. Suicide Squad (2016)

I'm surprised they showed as much as they did. They're still filming.
  8. Suicide Squad (2016)

They released the comic con early, those beautiful bastards Leto looks amazing.
  9. R.I.P Satoru Iwata

Horrible news. My thoughts are with his family.
  10. R.I.P Satoru Iwata

Bloody hell. I thought he was getting better. RIP.
  11. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

I think a lot of stuff with Supes was misdirection as were a lot of the cuts imo. As for Lex, it looks like a wig.
  12. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

    holy shit - new trailer
  13. Wii U General Discussion

    Thanks for the replies.
  14. Transformers: Devestation (PS3/PS4/360/XONE)

So good. All it needs is the animated movie soundtrack.
  15. Wii U General Discussion

If I took my account off of my Wii U is it gone forever? Or can I retrieve it on another console? I know I wont be able to dl my games because that would make to much sense but would I be able to get my account bank at a later date with my friends list and shit?
  16. Sony launches crowdfunding platform

I'm ok with this, especially if its mean you get something you wouldn't usually get. You pay your money and you get the item, I really don't see the problem. Maybe if you gave them money to fund the project and then still had to pay for said item after it release's then yeah they can fuck off.
  17. Batman: Arkham Knight

You could still cancel the order without issue after they sent the codes. Gotta give Amazon props for that. It only took me three hours to download it so it wasn't that much of an issue for me.
  18. Batman: Arkham Knight

I finished it the other day along with all side quests. I do have to mop up some Riddler trophies though to get the other ending. I'll do that over the weekend. I loved it. Never got tired of the Batmobile, maybe because I thought the tank combat was really easy once you got the drone hack upgrade. Anyway my GOTY so far and the best of the Arkham games. Also Amazon finally got my Limited Edition to me today after the delay. I did however get a free download code for it off them last week so I didn't miss out. Also the Batmobile is much better to use with the toggle battle mode option ticked in game options and also driving around in first person makes it so much easier to navigate. Riddler racers become a joke in first person.
  19. Shenmue 3 (Kickstarter)

http://shenmue.link/us-en/topics/#item25 Interview with some one on the dev team.
  20. Shenmue 3 (Kickstarter)

Translated information from the famitsu article - He noticed that fans were getting more and more despondent about the chances of a Shenmue 3 ever coming out, and being willing to settle for just about any format (novel, manga etc.) just to see the conclusion of the story, but he really wanted to make the sequel as a game even if it didn't have all the bells and whistles he'd like to put in it. - He first learned about Kickstarter about 3 years ago through a fan who'd used it before, although it took a while before he decided that was really the way to go forward. Tried looking for a major company to partner with, but couldn't find one that met his criteria. Eventually, he decided Kickstarter was the best option. - Sega readily allowed him to make the game, and SCE gave their support too (nothing specific here). - It'll be out on PS4 and PC. No mention of other platforms, no mention of considering any other platforms. - 2 million is the bare minimum for the game to exist, and if that was all they got, it would just be focused on the story. The more money it gets, the more of the things he wants to do will be possible. - He wants to give the fans what they want as much as possible, asking for their opinions during development and incorporating those into the final game. Like if they have two ideas for a character, they might ask backers to vote on which they prefer. - As far as money goes, he expects the game's investment will primarily come from individual backers, so he wants them all to be happy with the finished product. Doesn't sound like Sony and others are giving them all THAT much. - The story will take place in Guilin, beginning immediately after 2's end. You'll be able to go around the town(s) in that area, back to the mountains, infiltrate the Chi You Men's Guilin branch, etc. - Back when he made Shenmue 2, he was determined that Shenmue 3's focus would be making a deeper open world rather than a bigger one. Fewer characters means they can have more to say, they can have more complex AI, etc. The character Ryo will talk to the most in 3 is Shenhua, so he wants to develop her as much as possible, making it so that talking to her lots makes her behaviour towards him change, makes quests involving her proceed differently, etc. - Not that any of this is to say it won't be an open world game. Stretch goals will determine how much the town(s) can be expanded (presumably this is referring to stretch goals like those we can already see, the 'other towns' in that video aren't addressed here.) - QTEs were originally designed so that people who weren't very good at battles could still enjoy the game. - He wants to make 'free battles' (which are likely to have their name changed) less about pressing buttons at the right time and more about making the right decisions. - He also wants to make them less about practising and inputting commands and more centred around the Technique Scrolls, so obtaining and using those is enough to win battles. These Technique Scrolls will ideally connect a number of different elements in the game together in a natural way. "Shenmue had a number of minigames, gambling spots etc. that you could spend time playing around in, but I wanted something that would connect all of them somehow. I mean, obviously you can obtain money through part-time jobs, use that in gambling to get more of it and then buy weapons...but not that kind of connection, a closer one. If we can meet a number of our stretch goals and make the open world elements more elaborate, I'm hoping to be able to connect these side elements together, centred around the scrolls. - He's desperately trying to find some way to include forklifts in the game in a way that will make sense, because Shenmue fans seem to love them. - He wanted to gather as many of the people who worked on the earlier games as possible because it'd be reassuring to fans. They're planning to publish staff comments from a number of figures working on the game, including the writer Masahiro Yoshimoto. - He's asked about whether he has an idea in his head about what'll come after Shenmue 3's done (presumably 4, but it doesn't come out and say this). He says he does, but right now he's focused on working on Shenmue 3. Certainly doesn't sound like this game will be 'it' at any rate. - As the Kickstarter page says, he's hoping the game will be ready to release at the end of 2017. --- Bolded the interesting. It doesn't seem like they'll be getting that much funding from Sony. Anyway man 14 god damn years without even a sniff of Shenmue 3. If getting it this way is the only way to get it then I'm all for it especially if it means no Shenmue at all. Hell it could be funded by the Mafia and I wouldn't bat an eyelid lol.
  21. Batman: Arkham Knight

Well I'm happy I didn't bother with the Batmobile edition now. Still got the Amazon CE on the way though.
  22. Shenmue 3 (Kickstarter)

I've upped my pledge to $250. Oh yeah.
  23. NINTENDO @ E3: Let the Hype juices flow

What surprised me the most is no proper Amiibo game in the vein of Infinity or Lego Dimensions. That boggles my god damn mind, looks like it'll continue to be glorified DLC.
  24. NINTENDO @ E3: Let the Hype juices flow

I cant believe it man. That Metroid game was a kick in the knackers. My Wii U will continue to collect dust until Mario Maker and then again until Zelda comes out.
