  1. Bleach Announced [Scan]

Naruto has been released for GC (two games at least). Then there is the GC version of Jump Super Stars featuring Goku, One Piece characters and Naruto, among others. It's called Battle Stadium D.O.N.
  2. Thinking of importing?

I live in America so... lucky me, eh? :p
  3. So it will be like the avatars you can choose from a message board? They should include a Mario Paint-like feature to let you make a custom made face. Or perhaps a GameBoy camera device to let you scan your own and make it anime/cartoonish. Sounds good. : peace:
  4. I can't blame Sony supporters trying to find less stupid excuses as to why Sony does what it does. It must be very challenging to actually find them and keep people from laughing at them, regardless. The problem is Sony itself has been using a double barrel shotgun to shoot it's own legs off. So they have no leg to stand on when they try to "educate" people about how they never copy or imitate anything. Like I said before, it would've been better if Sony had stayed a faceless corporation and stopped trying to imitate everything. Including imitating the fact that Nintendo has "celebrities" like Shigeru and Reggie. Sony cannot compete with a-holes like Phil Harrison and Kaz Hirai. Period. :p
  5. Japanese Developers Talks Next-Gen Consoles

You got to place things in perspective. A lot of game developers went to E3 with PS3 in mind. Nobody was even considering the Wii as an option. Many game developers already had their minds set in stone as to whom they would support (PS3). Except UbiSoft. That company saw potential in the Wii before anybody else saw it at E3. That is why this news story sprang in may 16: ------------------------------------------- Game Makers Missing Out on Wii Nintendo turned a lot of heads at E3 last week in Los Angeles with its new Wii console. Thousands of gamers lined up for hours to get their hands on the motion-sensing controller and to play with old favourites such as Link and Mario. The console seems poised for success, but one analyst says publishers, Western ones in particular, have missed the Wii boat. "I didn't think publishers [knew how cool the Wii was] until they got their hands on it," Michael Pachter, an analyst at Wedbush Morgan Securities, told Next Generation. "I don't know how Ubisoft figured it out. Let's give them a lot of credit. They're ahead of everybody right now." The game that is putting Ubisoft ahead is Red Steel, a Wii-exclusive game filled with swords, guns and the Japanese Mafia. The problem is that third party publishers haven't put enough weight behind Nintendo's console, which could end up hurting them if things take off for the Wii. ------------------------------------------ After E3, with the E3 Game Critics giving the Wii the Best at Show and Best hardware/peripheral awards and getting from the media much positive response, the Wii will probably have an impact on the future game development projects from most game devs. GameSpot's Greg Kasavin wrote, "Despite how many great-looking games were on display at this year's show, the Wii stood out as the single most exciting and remarkable new product at E3 2006." Things are looking well for the Wii.
  6. I guess so! Amazing Ninty still can be considered a leader even to the top dogs. Ninty is like the little brother that invents stuff only to have the big brothers take all the credit and beat the crap out of him.
  7. Game Critics E3 Awards

Well, my friend that's based on personal opinion. Some people are never satisfied. They will always say "but that was no competition at all, there was no -place overblown franchise name here- to give it true competition". I agree that F1 06 doesn't look like the best racer ever, but hey Ridge Racer 6 for the Xbox 360 got mediocre reviews for the most part (EGM scored it 6.5 out of 10, IGN gave it a 7.0 and Gamepro gave it a 60% score, only gamespy gave it an almost perfect score). So I don't think Ridge Racer would've made any differance. In fact, most Sony fans always gush about their Gran Turismo franchise, and not even that one could go against the goodness that is Excite Truck . That according to the 30+ critics who made it a winner. Meh! Excite Truck won regardless! woo-hoo!
  8. Game Critics E3 Awards

Actually, Excite Truck had this competition: Formula One 06 (for PS3) Gran Turismo HD (for PS3) MotoGP 06 (for Xbox 360) Test Drive Unlimited (Eden Studios/Atari for Xbox 360, PC, PS2, PSP) That is some freakin' competition! That game must be some kind of racer! : peace:
  9. Responses to Time Magazine’s Nintendo article

Pfft! The Nintendo DS is a perfect example that non-gamers can become gamers. Brain Age games in japan is making old people and women (demographics that traditionally almost never play vid-games) play videogames. The Wii will do in the console arena what the DS did in the portable arena. Some reporters/journalists just like speaking out of their arse when they're too lazy to do some research.
  10. All this recent Sony stuff makes some Sony supporters long for the day when Sony was just another faceless corporation. But I guess the big wigs at Sony also wanted to imitate Nintendo in the "famous and charismatic representative/head honcho" department. Like Ninty has Shigeru Miyamoto and Reggie. So they told Phil (we don't need PC's) Harrison and Kaz (no next-gen until I say so) Hirai to become the new faces of Sony. Maybe that way they'll become as famous as Shiggy and Reggie. Well they have become famous alright. But for all the wrong reasons!
  11. First Wii EU prices for games revealed

What the heck???? Is that Windwaker they're talking about?
  12. Phil Harrison went on to say that ordinary gods and goddesses would cower at the site of the first PS3 and that the plain jane religions that exist the world today will be unneeded once we have the PS3 to worship. Sony has been playing around with the idea of allowing consumers one PS3 in exchange for that consumer's first born son (or the trimmed down version for first born daughter). Analysts stated that this strategy would be met with disgust in most parts of the world but may play well in third world countries and those suffering from over population. When asked why he would no longer need a PC, Harrison merely gestured to the screen displaying the new console and said, "Look at it! Just .. just ... look at it! No, wait stop, you are not worthy to cast your eyes upon it. Avert them! Everyone, stop looking at it, you're ruining its glory just by concieving it in your feeble puny mind!" Sony has set up large preemptive trauma centers for players who will seek medical attention after attempting to "play" the PS3. Harrison explained that only players with "mad skillz" will be able to touch the PS3 and not walk away with their entire reality altered. Harrison also alluded to the idea that much of life after the PS3's release will be dedicated to playing the PS3 and trying to conceive of what life before the PS3 might have been like. Phil was skeptical any of their consumers would own any other consoles aside from the PS3 and stated that doctors were investigating ways to wean heroin addicts from the drug by giving them a PS3 as a substitute. Some of the developers of the PS3 were admitted to mental institutions for possible instability. Many were sobbing and laughing at the same time screaming anything from "It is done!" to "It is ... the alpha & the omega!" Reporters noted that Phil looked quite thin and ill but when asked about his health, he became extremely defensive saying, "Why do you ask about the physical things? If you had god in your living room, would you pause your conversation with him to eat?!" he cried, "Why do you vex me with puzzles non-PS3 based?" He had shaved his head [gamasutra.com] for reasons unknown. He then jumped off the stage and ran to his celebrity van outside--presumably to play an in-development version of the PS3.
  13. Remember when Sony's Kaz Hirai said: "The next-gen revolution doesn't begin until we say it does" I guess that also applies to anything ever invented or created in the videogaming world, like 3D games. Phil is pretty much saying this: "3D games didn't exist until we created them for the PSX!" Wow! I'll love to smoke whatever they're smoking! :p
  14. According to IGN, LucasArts expresses interest in bringing a lightsaber game to Wii. So.... If you don't wanna end like this guy here: Then everybody who buys the lightsaber game for Wii, should avoid having people filming you while you play. But then again, there is a positive side.... for you can be immortalized in Family Guy: This public announcement was brought to you by the good people at youtube.com.
  15. Yuji Naka Forms Independant Studio [Prope]

So this new company is not really independent from SEGA? If it was, who was going to fund their games? These days the costs of developing games is almost the same costs of making a hollywood movie.
  16. Not yet. But he sued a lot of people, most of them former school mates. In a few years, he'll look back and have a laugh or two. I hope.
  17. Well it seems it wasn't news to mario114. And thus I suppose it is possibly news to many more. Anywhoo, the news bit wasn't even the point of this topic, you gibbon.
  18. No pictures are available at the moment. But the news story is actually old. I though everybody knew about this. I just wanted ppl to know what to avoid. Anywho, here's an except from the source: From IGN.com: May 11, 2006 - During a technical demonstration for an unnamed Xbox 360 and PS3 Star Wars title, LucasArts made note to announce high interest in creating a Wii title in the Star Wars universe, with lightsaber battles in mind. At the end of the demonstration questions were raised about the possibility of such a game, garnering knowing smiles from the room of LucasArts employees. Comments of "We are looking into it" were heard from members of their staff as ideas for the game were discussed among the people in the room. http://revolution.ign.com/articles/707/707824p1.html
  19. N64/NGC Magazine is no more

So when is Revolution-europe going to change it's name? The Wii jokes have grown stale and the only ones making them are 12 year old morons or people who think of pee all day. It's safe guys. Make the change already! :awesome:
  20. Baten Kaitos Official Thread

I just got a recent copy of Nintendo Power and Baten Keitos II is featured in it. The article says that Nintendo itself will publish the game in America (maybe in Europe too). The game is a prequel to the original and it will have more plot twists than the original. Some pics depict some levels looking like they were made out of clay. Some other pics looks amazing too. Some characters that made it to the original game will be in the prequel too. Some will have a personality "evolution" towards the finalized characters we knew from before. Looks interesting!
  21. *GAME Phasing Out Gamecube Stock!*

And then people in Europe wonder why they get second class service? Let's face facts. Nintendo's main markets are America and Japan. Here in the states, I have no problem purchasing GC games at the local videostores or rental places. The only problem here is dealing with acne infested clerks that know zero about games that aren't for PS2. No surprise there since most of them were in diapers or not born at the time Nintendo was #1. So they can't possibly understand the allure the said company has on some of us veterans. Nor do I want to waste time telling them about it either. Other than that, it's pretty good. I do not know of any store that sells videogames that doesn't advertise Nintendo products. Be it Best Buy, Blockbuster, GameStop or whatever. They have some big N products in stock. Not as much as PS2 stuff, but they do have some. And these days, with lik-sang.com and other online stores, there should be no problem for us Nintendophiles. And those morons at GAMES forget that their GC games will be played on the Revolution! Just another example of their ignorance. GameCube games will have an after life on the Revolution so those games can still produce some profit. Meh! me worry?
  22. It's been 20 years since he was the protagonist of his first big game SUPER MARIO BROS. In 1985 he became a super staaaarrrr! And nobody remembered... heck, not even me! I do remember that in 1995 Miyamoto gave industry people some signed art of Mario in order to celebrate the first 10 years of SMB. But I guess these days we have mostly kids playing Mario and they have no idea about the milestone of 20 years of SMB. Can't blame them. But some of us old enough... we have no excuse! Dang, I'll try to remember when Mario celebrates 25 years!!!
  23. And what parto of the world are we talking about? Maybe my rock here in America was to dense to get those promotions... I saw none at all. Now I admit that I don't watch tv or go to videogaming stores all the time, but I did saw enough of those Sonic and Mega Man promotions...and I didn't even wanted to see them! And I saw them regardless! :p So either the Mario promos evaded me like the plague... or 'em I living i the freakin' Twilight Zone? (looks around)... is that Rod Serling?
  24. Yep, some fans did remembered and at least Nintendo of Japan had some sense to make a page about it (too bad the link to the japanese Nintendo site doesn't work, though... but it's ok). Maybe Luigi will get better R.E.S.P.E.C.T.
  25. Well Mario has a bigger... than Sonic... you see, Italians are known for... never mind!
