  1. Well, I ballsed it up in the end: I decided not to spoil the weekend and try my best.

Then we got home and I asked for a divorce... Frankly, I didn't expect all that crying. So I told her she had a choice to make: learn to respect me, return my salary card to me and sell the house to move somewhere cheaper.

She said "I'll try" on the first one and "no" on the last two. So we are in limbo. She says she really loves me, but the money and the house are obviously of equal or greater importance.

You should straight up give her an ultimatum: do all three, or I leave. I mean, it's not like it's just a tiff - it sounds like your quality of life right now is terrible. I dunno though...will you miss her/is there another factor causing her to be so inflexible? Does she understand why your requests are important? /naïveté?

    /noses out

  2. Hot, headache, hayfeaver, dehydrated, tired and got a cough.

And because the boss and both accountants are off, I have to ring some companies to chase payments, as well as dealing with all the incoming phone calls.

Benadryl for hayfever (my mum has the worst hayfever ever and it's the only OTC thing that works), coconut water for dehydration, and hope you get a break soon!

  3. I was not even aware people still used fax machines...

Businesses do, as it's a bit more secure than e-mail for sending sensitive information, as e-mail is classified as open communications.

  4. The lyrics of Jedward's song make no sense. It makes me imagine the captain from The Simpsons singing it. And I keep thinking of waterline as in the waterline of the eye.

The show is crap, so I do not extend my interest beyond what the country I'm in is offering. I used to watch it with my family though, my mum provided a very enthusiastic running commentary.

  5. There are 2 choices when you're stuck in the house on a council estate and it's sunny:

Either keep the windows closed and put up with stuffiness/warmness

    or

Open the windows and have to hear screaming kiddies, and more often than not screaming parents, plus drunken chavs with booming voices who shout every single word they say... ALL DAY!!

They are loud and obnoxious all goddamn day long!!

I'm stuck in trying to revise for my theory exam with all this shitz going on!

What about getting a fan? I live on the street so I hear constant traffic and people with the window open, but I'm pretty used to it : peace:

  6. Don't they also plan on re-booting Batman fairly soon after TDKR? It'll probably go for a more action/much less dark approach. Although I doubt that Man of Steel will be anywhere near as good as Green Lantern.

ANOTHER reboot? Are they going for the world record in highest number of franchise reboots? :indeed:

Not that I'm complaining, if it turns out to be good. It's just amusing that it's going to be rebooted like...straight away!

  7. Chris Evans makes a better Capatain America than he does Human Torch, I think.

I think so too! I thought he was an annoying git as the Human Torch, but then I hate the character and I also did not like the movie, so. He's so different as Captain America, more stoic but still cool.

  8. Why do kids get all the attention? If I met Thor I'd like to go on his shoulders but do you think he'd let me :heh:

I dunno, maybe if you did a running jump and landed there he might leave you for a few seconds...then you should run, because I'm sure his punches hurt :p

  9. Surely you'd prefer him to take up one of the next-door slots? :p

    That's what I said! >___>;;

Not all clubs play techno music... I hate clubs which play that music but love clubs which play indie/rock.

And calling 999 is free and works even if you have no credit.

That seems a bit drastic...I wanted to phone up the local station and get them to come over :( /stupid

  10. People next door playing techno so loud that half of the apartment shakes violently. I highly regret not getting phone credit today which means I can't call the police on them.

How do people enjoy clubbing? I got a severe headache from the past few hours of that...music. It sounds like multiple Hulks are pounding on the walls. It's so repetitive and senseless. I guess you have to be on drugs to enjoy it? It's one reason why I don't enjoy going to pubs, clubs, and parties (unless it's a super nerdy one, with videogames and stuff). Headaches ahoy! Am I normal?

I hate living near students so much. I don't think I ever acted like a student, and I'm still a student. Can't wait to be a ~professional~ and not be required to live near uni.

  11. Me, heroicjanitor, Yvonne and EddieColeslaw targeted Jonnas.

I didn't target Jonnas last night. I was redirected to Diageo. Mafioso protecting his fellow?

I can see myself being redirected every night to a mafioso who doesn't receive PMs from now

I am the "large navy and cream Pokémon" that "changed direction".

  12. Excuse my untimely arrival in this thread, I just saw it with @Frank.

    - I was going to see it in 2D because I am an idiot, but ended up seeing it in 3D as the cinema we went to didn't have it in 2D, and it was cheaper than the main cinema. I do not regret it. It's done well, there's no gimmicky fly-out-of-the-screen effects really.

    - EVERYONE IS SO BUFF! Holy crap. I am motivated to start working out again (well, I already did last night).

    - I like the scale of the...apocalypse at the end, the body count (lol) makes it so much more epic.

    - Hulk was done really well in this, I refused to see the Hulk movie because he looked silly.

    - Yay, Scarlett Johansson!

    - I didn't care for Captain America, Hawkeye, Hulk, or Thor (or their movies...), but I ended up thinking they were really cool in the movie.

    - Loki is sexy. Like a more attractive Severus Snape (but mainly his voice). Why do I feel wrong for saying this...

    - I liked how nothing was overly upsetting, like Coulson's death, war in NYC, people getting punched in the face, etc.

    - I was afraid that Stark would steal the focus of the film in terms of dialogue, but he didn't! Yay.

    - The combination of all of the heroes was just so, so awesome. Like a team of X-Men, multiplied by infinity.

    - I want to watch it again *______*

edit: This...nooooo :( I hated Fantastic Four, and especially this dude!

  13. It's just so unfair that the one guy I've fallen for has to move across the world. As I mentioned before about meeting a guy -- we just *clicked*. It was easy, exciting and fast-paced. It was clear the feeling was perfectly mutual too. Of course, he's on his way to Hong Kong where, most likely, he won't come back unless there's a job etc.

Bleurgh. I'm happy but sad. Happy because I had an amazing two weeks. Sad because it's over and he has to leave. I rarely, probably never, met someone who I've clicked with so well, had interesting conversations with and been extremely attracted to, I'm glad I experienced that.

Maybe you'll meet again someday :)
