  1. ScribblerToo - You can draw too!

I think the confusion stems from how Sonic looks like he's knotted his arms, not simply crossed them (even in the original pic). I mean, try doing that in real life
  2. good stuff thread.

At least he didn't use the cheap-ass blue shell.
  3. bad stuff thread.

I've been getting bad hayfever these few days too, though without the nosebleeds and eye pain Hope it gets better soon. Do you take an antihistamine for relief?
  4. ScribblerToo - You can draw too!

Looks like a way nicer version of Harmony!
  5. HMV to close 60 stores

Patchy all over. I'm trying to remember which one exactly, because one HMV is good and one is bad. The bad one is patchy all over, especially in the DVD section. I've come to the realisation that stock in Dublin shops may be patchy because there are somany people here, so the good/ or not-so-plentiful/popular stuff gets snatched up rather quickly, so I don't see it :p It's not just HMV, I've found Lidls and Aldis in the country better stocked than in the city centre...
  6. Do You Haunt General, Gaming or Both?

I feel like I have no place in the gaming board as I have no consoles with me when I'm not at home, and I've almost completely stopped gaming as college work increased. I'm afraid of getting a DS or PSP (COUGHnotNintendoIknow) just in case I abuse it for procrastination. I used to follow game news and reviews avidly anyway, but stopped as I don't see any point to doing that anymore. tl;dr version: totally out of touch with gaming, have nothing worthwhile to say in the gaming board
  7. My Rabbit Was Killed

Terrapins! Less expensive than tortoises, all you need is to put them in something like a goldfish bowl and treat them well. You can take them out and play with them! But yeah...RIP, Murr's bunny :/
  8. Dot Dot Dot - beacuase the voices where pretty good

Perfect match of voice acting and background music. I will probably start involuntarily reading bad text like this in my mind now... Reminds me of The Oatmeal's comics on grammar and spelling.
  9. Hurried Important Decisions

I go by similar priorities when choosing a class, too. A good lecturer will present a subject you may not be interested in as interesting and worthwhile to learn, while a bad lecturer will make an interesting subject boring and difficult. Of course ideally all lecturers should be competent and you should be able to choose in order of interest, but... About mathematics, I'm really bad it so I won't contribute to the discussion :p *exits*
  10. QWOP

Though I think QWOP is amazing enough to deserve a thread of its own
  11. QWOP

    Indeed. 10char
  12. Relationship Advice

I feel like he was inspired by Chris Crocker.
  13. A Running Commentary

    Or any screening before 12pm.
  14. Unheard of Bands/Artists

Stolen Babies (great name) remind me a bit of a more cheerful Sleepytime Gorilla Museum! Do you listen to The Dresden Dolls by any chance? Just picking up on the whole "dark cabaret" thing...
  15. bad stuff thread.

That's the first thing I saw, too XD
  16. HMV to close 60 stores

flameboy: I understand that cost prices form the base of retail prices, but as a broke-ass student, I don't care: I'm not going to go "well, I know they don't mean to charge this much, so I'll buy it instead of looking for a lower price elsewhere!". I hadn't thought about the jobs situation though, that's not good I suppose it depends on particular stores...I've always found one of the Dublin stores to be a bit patchy in terms of keeping it well stocked.
  17. HMV to close 60 stores

Tower Records > HMV bargain bookshops (with new books) > Waterstones Can't say I'm surprised, I haven't set foot in a HMV in over a year because everything has always seemed stupidly overpriced to me. I buy DVDs and CDs rarely, but I generally buy them online. As for books, Book Depository win so hard with free worldwide shipping.
  18. Hatred For Webcomics

I hate Penny Arcade because the style is boring and I don't get it/it's not funny. My favourites are The Perry Bible Fellowship, Toothpaste for Dinner, chainsawsuit and Gunshow. Cyanide and Happiness is good but the aforementioned comics kick its ass. I've never actually heard of CAD...it looks like Penny Arcade. They are excellent for procrastination.
  19. Romantically Apocalyptic

I like the style and want to like the entire comic, but I find the text really hard to read... :/
  20. 2010: Cinema in Review.

I would have to be paid a lot to see Burlesque. The trailer was...indescribably bad. Above all, I have issues with Christina Aguilera's extensions and make-up.
  21. New Year's Eve Plans?

I've always been at home either working for my parents or sitting around every NYE so no grand plans for me. Currently making nail polish swatches. I expect I'll move on to Guitar Hero and cooking with my little brother later on! In regards to going out on NYE, I think it's silly to celebrate when you don't know whether the new year will turn out to be good or bad... :p
  22. 2010: Cinema in Review.

    Nope :awesome:
  23. 2010: Cinema in Review.

I think I only went to the cinema three times in 2010. The Twilight Saga: Eclipse Thought this one was the best so far, which isn't saying much because the two before were awful. Really liked the score by Howard Shore. The action was moderately ok. Toy Story 3 (3D) I thought that the 3D added a lot of nice depth, but I had forgotten about it halfway through. Excellent story, animation, entertainment value, character etc. as usual. We have the DVD at home now, yay! Resident Evil: Afterlife (3D) So horribly bad that it became genuinely good. Was very impressed with the 3D, I would recommend it hesistantly just for that. Then of course I downloaded and watched many other old and new movies, which I can't keep track of. Was impressed with Scott Pilgrim. Wished I'd seen Inception in the cinema, but I seem to be programmed to automatically avoid (over)hyped movies regardless of potential. Was very disappointed with Up. Looking forward to Norwegian Wood in 2011.
  24. Eyes are weird

The first one looks like something from Dune 2000.
  25. N-europe's Got Talent!

Watched Scott Pilgrim vs. the World a few nights ago and was unexpectedly impressed. So here is a quick sketch of the poster, done to avoid unpacking a very large box which contains many things to be tidied away. I also made mince pies for Christmas, if it counts. (They look really ugly because I discovered that we have no cookie cutters.) The one at the very top is a poop shape which my sister requested.
