I'll be buying a Switch - it'll just be at a time it makes more sense to. Most probably Christmas with Mario. High chance I'll probably import Zelda too. I full out object to paying £50-£60 for it.

I still think it's something Nintendo need to take a hit on. It's an absurd amount of money to ask for a controller no matter the tech inside. Price is what Nintendo should have at the forefront when considering what they put into the thing. I like the idea of the rumble acting as enemy impact. So if your shield/armour takes a heavy impact from the right for example the rumble will thud hard on the right and dissipate left.

Yeah the pro controller does have HD rumble as well as a more traditional rumble. It's going to be interesting to see how much HD rumble is used in the pro controller, because when developing a game, surely you'd have to develop the rumble with either the JoyCons OR pro controller in mind, because of how different their shapes are. You couldn't simply map rumble from one to the other.

Thing is, they're the consoles that are selling - so refinement and not revolution works. It's all well and good Nintendo trying new things, but when they don't have the games to back them up (as happens with almost every Nintendo hardware innovation) it's so disappointing. I fully expect Sony and Microsoft to adopt HD rumble with their next controllers - thing is, they're likely to be the consoles on which it's made best use out of outside of mini-game collections. It will be implemented into mainline million selling franchises.

If Donkey Kong isn't the King Kong of this city, hanging off the top of a skyscraper whilst Mario has to wall jump and run up a girder construction site to reach him, I'm gonna be pissed.

... I'm speechless... Five games?... Who's buying Skyrim a year after the remake's release?... let alone 7 years or whatever since the original came out. Steep, I Am Setsuna, Minecraft... how can you not have secured these for launch given their initial release. Street Fighter 2 HD, Bomberman, Tetris... dear god!!!!... these are titles that should be flying under the radar not headlining your calendar. So much of what we saw or heard from Third Parties yesterday, were concepts, or simply dreams (as in the case of No More Heroes). Nintendo have brought this console out FAR to early, and kept it secret for too long; external developers haven't even had time to make games for it. It simply should not be coming out.

Yeah the problem I had with this is that for all I knew I was looking at Splatoon 1 with some updates. A focus on the single player/what truly different this time around - map creator would be nice - would have made this show a lot better.

This should have been Marvel vs Capcom Infinite.

To me it look like it could be fun and have hidden depth - but it also looks like it could be fun for 10mins. I presume it will have a single player mode. The characters look lazy compared to PunchOut. Quite why this isn't PunchOut Switch I don't know.

Nope. The very earliest I'd look to buy one is Christmas with Zelda and Mario. Xenoblade looks beautiful, but typically these games take an age to come out, and I'm not an RPG fan anyway. Splatoon 2 has my interest - need to see single player- but that's it. Neither of these would sell me a Switch. Happy to wait for a price drop/discounts/sales/bundles. No way am I paying those prices for console/controllers atm. And the online situation is pretty disgusting. Happy to pay for online... but show me why I am. NES/SNES games again... do one.

Presumably the Switch version will still contain the Nintendo references...

They look for fun bets, and yeah it's more of a sketch with EZA betting special law behind it. EDIT: Just watch it if you've got time. If it's not for you it's not for you.

Yeh the eyes bother me too. They look worse lit up. Maybe it's something to do with it being an actual 3D mask and not flat artwork... but looking at those two images compared, they've actually not done a great job of recreating it.

Question, why with more media, isn't their a free digital download code with a physical copy? Purely in the hope that you'll the same product twice at some point? I always appreciate Albums, or DVD/Blu-Rays that do give you a free digital download. Have any games done it?... I think that Mario vs Donkey Kong game did right? Also with Switch I think it depends whether your stance will be more home console or handheld. Having a Mario Kart 8 that you can take anywhere out and about with you without having to have a separate games case that could potentially get lost, is certainly a nicer idea. I prefer physical copies. Like I said a while ago, there's an awesome PS4 sale on atm, but outside of games that are digital only, I won't really be exploiting it.

Yeah I think you could just about get away with hanging it on the wall, amongst other stuff, but that's it. I don't get why it's so big?... it's way bigger than their heads. Yeah I'd actually like a decent Amaterasu figure. Theirs however is HUGE. It's a full on statue.
