The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Wii U / Switch
Retro_Link replied to darkjak's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Just read that Zelda doesn't have HD rumble. Unfortunately having done so has now made me really want it in the game despite previously giving no thought to it. It'd be great to feel Epona through the reigns, varying weights/directions of impact on your sword and shield - and no matter how gimmicky I always enjoyed 'feeling' the bow and arrows in Wii Sports Resort. So many possibilities for HD rumble with puzzles and bosses one would imagine. -

Could someone delete the last couple of pages... What the actual fuck. Also: How awesome would it feel to have a clip unload in your hand and slam a new one back in with HD rumble. -
Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi (December 2017)
Retro_Link replied to Dog-amoto's topic in General Chit Chat
No one speculated Revenge of the Sith was about one Sith lord. The Last Jedi probably encompasses a range of things... the story of how the last Jedi were wiped out by Kylo Ren, how Luke became quite possibly the last Jedi knight, and the story of Luke and Rey as the last. Not a fan of the title tbh. -

Yeah the red/blue Switch is strangely appealing. I wonder if someone at Nintendo wasn't concentrating when putting Red/Blue joycons back on the early console and had a eureka moment :p I think Mario needs a lot more development work and had no chance of making launch regardless. Let it cook. -

Dude... now you're asking @kav82 to go to the post office! Make sure you sell it 'collect from seller' only Kav Although you will still have to answer the door x -
I get this message when I go to add normal Driveclub to my basket: So I'm guessing the PS Plus version is the only version open to me.

More artwork: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/Wzwk2 A Maul, Arkham type game is a dream.

And also, how are they different?

I think I should get this. Do you just buy the PlayStation Plus version now? I can't see the launch version on the PSN store.

Might as well assume Switch is dead in the water then. Honestly what's the point of such negative discussions.

My Nintendo Japan get to choose their colour combinations... I quite like the idea of having Red and Blue as the backs of the controllers and grey on the front. -

Sorry to weigh in on the controller talk so late, but thb the prospect of buying a DS4 and a Pro Controller don't even compare. The DS4 is the only controller you need for the PS4, and it comes bundled with one. Want a second one for a friend, then yeah pay whatever price you can find for one. With the Switch if you want a traditional controller you have to pay for it, again at whatever price you can find. It's a different situation. It's an expensive additional - necessary - purchase for some. -
The Legend of Zelda: Art & Artifacts New Book
Retro_Link replied to Ike's topic in General Gaming Discussion
Honestly I'm very underwhelmed by these Zelda books. This one for example seems to just contain exactly what you'd find if you Googled Zelda artwork for each of the games - there seems to be very little/next to no original artwork in them from what I've seen of people flicking through them and promotional images. It's all artwork that's been seen a thousand times. -

My god. What would this game have been in 2015?... it boggles the mind what the original plan for the game was. -

Forget nicotine, we should have Nintendo patches. We all have to stay strong together until it makes more sense to buy the console. -

So frustrating this keeps happening with Zelda It then seems to lead to a completely new engine and graphical style being developed for the next Zelda. -
Well this was coming to all consoles, and now Switch has been added. Still good to have the support.

I'm happy to pay an industry standard price - but the excessive Switch prices we're seeing at the moment are what I'm hoping to avoid buy waiting it out - or at the least certain things will go on sale between now and Christmas. Personally I've never paid for Day 1 DLC or a season pass - and there are far more sensible ways of going about it - such as waiting for it all to be included in a Game of the Year edition and then even that getting a price cut - like The Witcher 3 GOTY edition for £25. Never smart to pay for a season pass before you know what's in it. A good season pass often greatly improves the value of a game. Nintendo don't have an excuse to be charging £60 for Zelda - unless there's future DLC which is free - but you should have that knowledge upfront.
