    Alien vs Predator Requiem

    The trailer obviously wants to make the point that they've upped the scare factor and gore for the second film (which the first film was missing),

    but whilst it looks like it might be an improvement on the first film (which isn't difficult!), it's still looking a bit meh!

     

    How hard did that Predator with the two Aliens in choke holds look? I hope this actually has some tension, not just a boom, blood, fuck you affair for 90 odd minutes.

    Was watching Headbangers Ball last night. This came on:

     

    Its a band called Despised Icon. This is the only song of theirs I like but also the only one released from the album, so I bought it anyway.

     

    Ive never really listened to Deathcore before but the two singer thing hooked me on this, one does Death metal grunts, growls, what have you and the other does Hardcore style vocals. I like.

    I have a myspace, rarely use it. Only two people I talk to on there that dont have Facebook. Facebook is the king in my eyes. Simple, don't make my eyes melt and the least fringe/burberry cap quota of all.

     

    The applications however are getting annoying.

    Hostel part 2

     

    Sexy. I was expecting shit and I got a pretty good film. The chick who bathes in blood was damn horny and the woman who takes them too the hostel exudes sexyness. Deaths were pretty good and the "twist(s)" at the end were well done and the way that guy dies at the end is fucking brutal.

    cant stop listenin to KoRn - Untitled album its freaking awesome one of there best albums :D

     

    Certainly is. I think Starting Over is slowly becoming my favourite song on the album, its just a beautiful song. That or Do What They Say, which is another slower song. I think its the atmosphere they create, just magical, dark, awesome.

    Is anyone else into Frou Frou? I think I first heard them (her?) on the Garden State soundtrack. I'm really getting into this pop/indie stuff... as long as its moving it usually grabs me. Specifically "Let Go"

     

    Its weird because other than that small set of calm songs on my 'headache' soundtrack, I mostly listen to punk and metal ^^; I like my musical taste. My girlfriend was laughing at me yesterday for having a Robbie Williams song and Hanson's mmmbop on my iTunes.

     

    Lucky she only laughed at you for having mmmbop, most people would have shot you.

    The Number 23

     

    A really cheesy 23/10.

    I love this film. It flows really well, the acting is great, the style of the book world is awesome (especially the Suicide Blonde scene), and the visual similarities between the book world and the real world. Its awesome, just watch it.

    Someone who wakes up two nights in a row laughing about Spider Pig probably finds colon cancer hysterical.

     

    I find this post hysterical. Anyone else think of Spider-Ham when the Spider-Pig joke came on the trailer?

    They leaked it themselves since it already happened. Seriously give it a listen its really different, even for KoRn. The softer songs are Kiss, Do What They Say, Love & Luxury (has a weird vibe to it) and Hushabye. Not sure if people here will like the heavier stuff, but broaden your horizons.

     

    EDIT: Oh yeah the intro is a creepy as fuck circus/carnival thing, really cool.

    KoRn's new album is out soon. It's been leaked on YouTube but I'm not gonna link to it. There is some awesome stuff on the album, its hard to describe. They've got their dirty raw sound back but still with the layered effects and also a keyboard player now. Terry Bozzio did most of the drumming on the album too which is great.

    Their Attack and Ballistic Submarines are better than ours I hate to say. I haven't read the rest of the thread so meh. A nuclear war would never happen because it takes away the point of war. What is there to gain when everything is fucked up and irradiated? Assuming you've survived to reap whatever spoils there are.

    Die Hard 4.0

     

    9/10 fucking ace! Even though it was flashy and effects laden it still seemed like a big fuck you to the flashy effects laden action films of today. Bruce was on top form, his daughter is hot and the hacker kid was played with nice touches.
