  1. amiibo (NFC)

I am so fucking jealous. I currently have 21 Amiibo (22 technically as I have 2 Marth). I've kept them all unopened, but I do want to try and get them all twice to have an open set and boxed set. Do you even have a set of the Yoshi unopened too? Seriously man... such a hot picture.
  2. What Have You Bought?

So on lunch break yesterday I took a stroll over the mall to kill some time and popped into Game as I normally do. I don't really like buying Amiibo from GAME as they're overpriced there. However I had to unfortunately shell out £30 on 2 Amiibo that I saw. Robin & Lucina. They had one Robin left and 3 Lucina left. (I already had Marth and Ike, but wanted the Fire Emblem Collection group pic :p ) It's payday tomorrow, But I couldn't take the chance of waiting so moved some funds from Holiday savings to the "Buying these fucking Amiibo pot" Wife wasn't best pleased, but heyho.
  3. Remembering The Capcom Five

With Dead Phoenix never making it, Was Gotcha Force the unofficial / official 5th title from the Capcom 5? I enjoyed that game (from what I remember). I also remember P.N.0.3 launching on my birthday (29th August) and me spending my birthday money in 2003 on it. It wasn't great, but I was determined to like it and support the games released for the Gamecube as much as I could. Loved the Gamecube immensely and still stop and stare at my Cube game collection fondly thinking "that console did alright" in terms of games.
  4. Your 2015 Gaming Diary

I'm free, I can enjoy the sun on evenings now and not lock myself in a room with my PS4. FREEDOM! Enjoyed it alot. As time goes on I find it harder to settle down with a large game and get the time and dedication to complete it. I normally only tend to play and finish games with shorter campaigns now, but took the gamble on Witcher and couldn't put it down. Loved it despite initially not appreciating the graphics of it as much as others. Got plenty more to do I guess despite finishing the main questline. I don't like despite the open world being so big, now the story is finished you feel so alone not having Zoltan or Dandelion in the pub, not being able to see Yen in Kaer Mohren. Thinking I can finally buy Splatoon now with Junes payslip, although Yoshi is pretty high on the do want scale. Completed: Assassins Creed IV: Black Flag (PS4) Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare (PS4) The Last of Us Remastered (PS4) Thief (PS4) Valiant Hearts (PS4) Abe's Oddysee: New N Tasty (PS4) Far Cry 4 (PS4) The Walking Dead Season 1 & 400 Days DLC (PS4) Never Alone (PS4) The Unfinished Swan (PS4) The Walking Dead Season 2 (PS4) The Witcher: Wild Hunt (PS4)
  5. Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival

Pretty disappointed that the only Animal Crossing WiiU game we're getting is a spinoff from the series. Didn't really find much to get excited about while watching this. I did enjoy the look of the house decorating game for 3DS and will probably snap that up. But this upsets me I will however get the Amiibo.
  6. PlayStation 4 Console Discussion

I’m still blown away by the E3 we just had. I was saying to a friend after the Ubisoft conference that I put on WWE network in the room I was watching E3, and took lie down on the bed and was getting sleepier and sleepier and thinking “maybe I could just watch Sony tomorrow” (I had stayed up till 4am the previous day watching a WWE pay per view live) … but then I thought about the reason I had Tuesday off work, I could sleep then, I should persevere and watch Sony conference live, probably the one I was most excited about, I couldn’t bail on it now I’d got this far. So I played Witcher, keeping my mind focused on something kept me awake, by 1:45am the hype was back, and sleepiness was a none factor. I got back on the PC and set the stream up. I then browsed GAF reading their excitement. The excitement levels on the boards got my levels higher. Then when It started and the very first game to be shown was TLG it was instant satisfaction I’d stayed up. I was so happy to see this happen live and read reactions to it. The excitement was just overwhelming, I really wish Sony was on earlier when my friends were awake as I felt like I was gonna explode. Not being able to message this news to my friends like I had been during Microsoft earlier. And if that wasn’t enough the next thing to be shown Horizon was equally as mind blowing. But it didn’t end, it just kept getting better and better. A bit of a down turn on Destiny which was followed by Assassins Creed, 2 games I’m a bit meh about, but I understand why they did this, they’ve got marketing deals with them and want to push that the PS4 is the best place to experience these 3rd party titles with additional exclusive goodies. But then it happened. Square Enix show World of final fantasy and the room was just a really pathetic little round of applause. You could tell there was frustration. Then another S-E video starts after an introduction by Adam Boyes… and im watching like.. “this looks familiar, is it… is that? Is it happening?” I was excited, but I kept a lid on it a little as there was every chance this could have just been a FF7 movie reveal given how much Square and Sony have teased previously. But then the end of the trailer it shows ‘REMAKE’. Once again I was in desperate need to talk to someone, I’m literally stood in my room punching the air, silently shouting “yes Yeaah, wooah” keeping quiet as to not disturb my wife sleeping next door. An indie reel of 4 games shows, I’m not bothered at all, I’m still in shock really. Then the next thing Boyes talks about kickstarting a game that we all love and want. I’m already sure I know what’s happening, it cuts to black and a leaf falls from the screen, then Yu Suzuki talks about Shenmue 3. By this point I’m not really watching or listening properly what’s happening. I’m stood up again with my hands over my face repeating “oh my god oh my god”. Everything else that followed was a bit of a blur to me, still good games in Arkham Knight, Battlefront, COD Blops 3, and more marketing deals with the likes of those 3 games and Disney Infinity, but it was already over in my eyes. When they ended with More Uncharted 4 I was sat there holding the notebook I’d been writing my notes in just smiling at the monitor. I couldn’t believe what I’d seen, it was something of myth and legend to get the announcements I’d just witnessed happen. But they did. And as I was writing up a conference roundup I was thinking to myself, “and I was going to go to sleep”. It's unbelievable how the hype from this conference came crashing down on the evening while watching the Nintendo conference. It's been a hell of an E3, one of legends. The only thing that could have topped it if if Steam revealed Half Life 3 during the PC conference last night.
  7. E3 2015 event countdowns!

Finishing work in 15 minutes, then off home to eat quickly and get prepared for a night of conferences. Tomorrow booked off work to recover and prepare my body for Nintendo (and Square Enix) Most wonderful time of the year!
  8. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

I'm a little worried i'll lose out on a secret trophy.
  9. Happy belated birthday dude. Hope you had a good one.

  10. Your 2015 Film Diary

5 more films since the last update: Mama - been wanting to watch this film for a while due to seeing a few gifs of it. I like scary films, and this one looked like it'd make me jump based off the gif's id seen. It was pretty good. Did make me jump and did freak me out for a while. But the end is when it got a bit ridiculous and lost it's scare appeal. Still glad I watched it. 22 Jump Street - Loved 21 Jump Street, love this too. The fact it's taking the piss out of itself near the start of the film that it got a sequel in the first place. Referencing the captains office like a cube of ice when the captain is Ice Cube. Made me chuckle. Best scene is the moment they reveal that Schmidt had slept with the captains daughter and Jenko's reaction to it were brilliant. Rush - Seen this before but love it. A great film based on an incredible story. 70's F1 looked insanely good fun. Sex Tape - Why did I bother?? Started out pretty funny, but got so weird and terrible. Bonus though a lot of scenes with Cameron Diaz naked, so that's ok I guess. Home - The latest Dreamworks animations offering. It's alright, It passes time. But it's no means their best work. Nothing in comparison to Dragons, Shrek or Madagascar. It seemed as if Rhianna had a stipulation in her contract when doing the voice to have as many of her songs in the film just for the sake of it. They came on at such random times. Some forced scenes in the film with dancing to her songs that were just... not needed and randomly placed. Guess it doesn't help I'm not a fan of her barring a few songs. So up to date now: January Birdman Big Hero Six NightCrawler Fox Catcher American Sniper February Dumb And Dumber To A Million Ways to Die in the West Edge of Tomorrow Horrible Bosses 2 The Interview Sin City: A Dame to kill for Guardians of the Galaxy The Inbetweeners 2 John Wick March Big Hero Six (2nd time watching it) Tangled How to Train Your Dragon 2 The Fast and The Furious April Furious 7 Wedding Crashers Million Dollar Arm Quantum of Solace The Hangover The Avengers May Guardians of the Galaxy (Rewatch) Avengers: Age of Ultron Get Hard American Pie Hot Tub Time Machine 2 Mad Max: Fury Road Mama June 22 Jump Street Rush Sex Tape Home
  11. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

This game, I've been in Novigrad for about 10 hours now with no signs of quests drying up meaning I have no need to travel to Skellige right now. So far in Novigrad I've...
  12. Lego!

Thread bump, but as mentioned in post your purchase thread, I bought the Batman Tumbler: And here it is: Here's the journey so far last night. Sorting the bags out: A comparison of the tyre's to a cat's head: The Books And for the Progress: This was how it looked after all of the Bag 1's where done and all of Book 1: And this is when all of the Bag 2's where used. At this point it's halfway through book 2: And I left it at that for the night, back to it tonight. But a final pic of the build so far with a comparison to a figure and a tyre. Absolutely epic so far, quite a few stickers to add which I really dislike doing but has to be done.
  13. Splatoon

This is £29 in Tesco, and a friend of mine who works there offered to get it for me with his discount which would result in getting it for £26.10. This is probably going to happen, but Witcher am cry
  14. Big Changes (Moving and stuff)

Damn the place looks awesome. I'd love to deck my place out like that, but I'm unfortunately banished to the box room of our house to display all my stuff. Looks great though man, and working from home! I guess that's a little tough to not be tempted to take extended breaks now and then Good work on the man cave!
  15. Football Season 2014/2015

Glad Hull went down. I just hope that there is no repeat of the 2008 Championship play off final. Bristol City get promoted from League 1 to Championship in 2007, then get straight to the playoff final in 2008 for the Premier League. In fucking dreamland about it after beating Palace 4-2 over the 2 legs in the first round. Was in London when City were at Palace (not at the match unfortunately but at "Give it a Name". So when news came through that we were 2-1 up in leg one and I was hammered, that made the day even more amazing. Fucking Dean Windass ruined it in the final. But to my point, If history repeats and we have a stellar season and reach playoffs, If we do get Hull again I hope we obliterate them. Man United.... let's go crazy in the transfer market please. Hummels, Clyne a decent forward. Rumours of Schweinsteiger & Bale... sure fuck it, bring them all in. Heck personally I like Hernadez, I'd want to give him another chance. Especially with Falcao gone and RVP not quite hitting the heights of his United debut season.
  16. PlayStation 4 Console Discussion

Well it makes sense that they've gone with marketing deals for what's pretty much the biggest 3rd party games of the year in Arkham Knight, Battlefront and MGSV. It's rumoured they're in a marketing deal with Ubisoft and Activision for AC:Syndicate and Blops3 this year too. If that's the case they've covered the major 3rd party games there. Is it true Witcher 3 was in a marketing deal with Microsoft / XboxOne, cause if that's the case the 63% Witcher sales for PS4 is outstanding.
  17. What Have You Bought?

I haven't bought yet, but will be buying on my lunch break in less than 3 hours.
  18. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

Dat Backlash! Well level 10 now, Finished the Keira & Baron quests. Goddamn.
  19. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

Makes sense... Kinda... I hadn't reloaded any saves since doing the exploit and losing the money. Unless it counts loading after fast travelling. Guess that could be it. Bugger!
  20. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

Well, I did the money exploit because I'm a cheater and have no shame. I got to 94,000 and thought that'll do for a while, so I celebrated by visiting a brothel as money was of no concern to me. I continued on with some quests and side quests picking up items, fast travelling a lot. I then went to sell my pickups to a merchant only to find my money had dropped to 24,000. Thing is though I'd not bought anything other than one visit to the brothel that cost me 20gold (I went cheap house, not upper class) So.. does fast travelling make you lose money? Do you lose money after missions, do you lose money after combat? What's the deal? I can't be too bitter I guess as I cheated for it in the first place. But Still pretty annoying. level 8 now, just wandering around the place finding locations. Pretty addicted and find I'm counting down the hours in work till I can play again.
  21. Your 2015 Film Diary

Damn right, that was absolutely incredible. Really enjoyed it. Watched it yesterday for free which was even better (Wasn't naughty, had free cinema tickets as rewards from the bank). Incredible film, glad I saw it on the big screen as I imagine it wouldn't look and especially sound as good in the living room unless you've got a stunning TV and surround sound. 2015 so far: January Birdman Big Hero Six NightCrawler Fox Catcher American Sniper February Dumb And Dumber To A Million Ways to Die in the West Edge of Tomorrow Horrible Bosses 2 The Interview Sin City: A Dame to kill for Guardians of the Galaxy The Inbetweeners 2 John Wick March Big Hero Six (2nd time watching it) Tangled How to Train Your Dragon 2 The Fast and The Furious April Furious 7 Wedding Crashers Million Dollar Arm Quantum of Solace The Hangover The Avengers May Guardians of the Galaxy (Rewatch) Avengers: Age of Ultron Get Hard American Pie Hot Tub Time Machine 2 Mad Max: Fury Road
