    Therefore, we created religion to fill the void. When things go right in a person's life, they automatically say that god was looking out for them, but when something bad happens, they just say that is how god intended it to be.

     

    If you're imaginative you can come up with numerous reasons as to why god "planned" all the evils in the world to happen. i know this is a tired arguement, but why would a god or "heavenly being" let thousands be killed in the various natural disasters we've had in the past few years.

     

    Personally i dont care if people believe in god or whatever, i wouldnt push any belief into someones face and wouldnt let people do it to me.

     

    totally agree with the priests molesting children point. that is pure evil. children are supposedly a miracle and should be "protected by god"

     

    but theres no arguing with religion. it always has a backup. no proof will ever stump someone with faith.

    Yeah, seriously. It's fucking awesome. I did loops, rolls and all kinds of stuff. The Air Cadets is great fun.

     

    wow.... are they difficult to fly, the planes you were in? did u have anybody assisting you or with you or anythin?

    imo its on of them songs i dont especially like, then u hear it and it drives u crazy cause its gotten in your head so bad. you find yourself humming it at random moments....and its like wtf i hate this song?! lol

    i think its cause they spend so much money and risk so much on a pilot that they have to eliminate all possibilities that a pilot could get into trouble in the air. they also have to be really clever, i think. well an aircraft can't exactly be easy to fly :heh:

    from what you say it seems like a sham. my dad hardley got paid anythin when he first started and it was seriously tough. lots of his colleague/comrades(??) committed suicide cause they couldnt handle it. he also went with the mountain rescue. picking up dead body parts from a cliff...nice.

     

    maybe it was just in them days they didnt get paid a lot

    hmm royal air force, 'tis in england, amybe something if I really wanted to be pilot, which I don't so...

     

    if you want to be a pilot you have to be in absolute PERFECT health..no glasses, no hearing probs, etc. someone i know wanted to be a pilot but couldnt cause he had a history of a collapsed lung

    I honestly just think, "we use live bait for fishing [worms etc], why value the life of one animal more than the other; simply because one is bigger or people find them cute?".

     

    seconded. i feel really guilty for killing wasps that buzz round my head now lol. theres always people ready to fight for the causes of rare/beautiful/cute animals but you dont see many people fighting for others. im not having a dig at anybody here before you all go quoting me.
