I've been having issues with eggs too. Had a bunch that got stuck on 0.2km for hours a couple of days ago despite me moving around the city at my usual pace. In my experience, the hatching tracker has always been wonky. Sometimes it tracks on the bus, other times it'll not track for ages and then suddenly everything is all hatching unexpectedly.

Just lost a goddamn Dragonite because Niantic made catching hell. Threw down berries, managed a bunch of Great/Nice Ultra Ball throws but after about five escapes he darted. It's almost annoying enough to make me wanna quit playing this frustration generator forever. But then again I do have eight eggs almost ready to hatch!

Managed to hatch a Chansey, Lapras and Exeggcute today, with about 5 more added to the PokeDex through evolution. Hit level 22 as well, the grind is very real at this stage and at my rate of play it's probably gonna be at least another week or two before getting to 23.

Down for everything rumoured and shown in the trailer today. Looks awesome. Suspect that a lack of an established league in the new region will be why the anime is going in the direction it is and that's fine and dandy with me!

I'll get used to the more difficult catching soon and there will be other tracking methods released in future if Niantic don't fix theirs. The game will start dropping numbers and popularity soon, but the die-hards will persist until they've caught them all. To be Pokemon Masters is, after all, our destiny.

Yep. Can confirm that Pokemon are now harder to capture, the once reliable curveball is now a joke to aim and the Pokemon are now even harder to find now the steps are totally absent and the tracker websites are all pretty much dead. It's slowly becoming way less fun, isn't it.

Good lord, that's so tragic... I had been thinking he hadn't posted for a while and then this. He was an extremely personable, memorable and iconic member of this forum. That avatar really stuck out whenever you were reading through threads. My condolences to his loved ones.

I wouldn't be exaggerating to say I need the Internet for every aspect of my life. Work, entertainment, education. It has created a thousand bad habits in me but also some of my most cherished relationships, experiences and memories. Google has become an acceptable first answer to 90% of questions and rather than give people my telephone number, I'll add them on Facebook instead. I suppose people assume everyone is on the Internet. Because everyone pretty much is... all the time. Not having the Internet these days is akin to not having a telephone back in the day.

Outside of Japan's many insane offerings, Mayall's stuff occupies the very top tier of Nintendo adverts for me. I was way too young to acknowledge them at the time though, don't remember seeing a single one on TV, but for a Mayall and Nintendo fan they're the perfect mix of weird, wacky and undiluted cringe. Outside of those, there was once a Resident Evil 2 ad in magazines with this field of sunflowers, proclaiming how the sun had his hat on, hip-hip-hip-hooray and that RE2 was out on N64 that day. Always thought it was super weird and neat. I also love the Smash Bros advert where they're all skipping through the field, one trips the other over and they all just start brawling. Then there's the legendary Ocarina of Time ad... Looking at it now... it's bad, the "play like a girl" material is terrible and the text is all garbage, but watching it now takes me right back our living room the first time I saw it and being completely blown away.

Hey, got five eggs lined up to hatch! Time to pop open a Lucky Egg and score some serious experPTC DOWN. =(

This is pretty much what I wanted from the NX. Although those detachable controllers are a true Nintendo style curveball. I hope they're more comfy than they look...

Why oh why oh why did I sign up with Pokemon Trainer Club? Just missed an Electabuzz in town because the damn servers can't authenticate. Again. Augh.

@killthenet, are you using composite cables? I have two different cables and one makes the N64 look like washed out garbage and the other makes the colours look so much nicer. If you still have a GameCube kicking about, perhaps you can rig it up using that cable (same connection as N64) to see if there's an improvement. --- Additional heads up for y'all, CEX are now accepting and selling N64 stuff again. I picked up a £10 grey controller with a great stick last week. Going into CEX is awful, but it might be worth a look in your local if you're after a few cheap extra carts or accessories.

Oh yeah, they definitely want my money. I'll be grabbing a good few of those!

Will be putting in my Splatfest work a bit later on. Team Marie here! [edit] I won't miss Splatfests when they're gone. Ugh.

It's going to be Generations 2 but every level will be based on Sonic 2006. The 2d game is way more exciting than this, but I hope this turns out decent. It's about time Sonic regained some of his former glory.

Getting super excited for these games now. The Go hype has certainly helped, as has the fact X and Y were excellent. Really hoping these continue to evolve (oh-ho!) the series in positive directions!

Servers just died for anyone else? Right when I was trying to catch a Ponyta.

The 'karp is an absolute beast to evolve. I'm still so far away from even getting close to enough candy. The struggle is real for sure. I'm sure my Go luck has been and gone too. These captures feel like massive exceptions to my usual fleet of Pidgeys and Drowzees.

Servers are back alive (for now), and Niantic must have been feeling bad for keeping me offline all weekend. Caught a Snorlax (CP1300!) and a Gengar today. My two Kanto favourites in the space of a few hours.

Well, all the buzz on my social channels is switching from universal praise and excitement to everyone very specifically discussing the game being buggy and broken. Unprecidented success could very well become utterly deserved bad press if these periods of downtime continue much longer.

Not so shallow after all then... Interesting!
