No, like I said in the other thread (which is probably going to be locked soon) the technology is already in the controller so you odnt HAVE to buy these to play the games and they wil be cheap because or well be buying is the shells of the various things!! Nintendo may have just cracked it you know!!!

You have to applaud them, they are fucking brave. I absolutely love them for it!! If it works then they will revolutionise the industry, if people dont take to it, well Im sure the Rev will be even more niche than the cube, but well still love it (Oh, ill also lose even more faith with the general public). Just imagine Mario Kart, controlling the movement with your hand, hold onto the B trigger to go into a slide and you have to jerk your hand to do the slide turbo - great stuff!! I also know someone with one arm who has always wanted to play games, there was a one handed controller once but it was shit.

To be fair its got the wheel on too! Now why are people moaning that this is going to cost LOTS??? Firstly, dont people have to buy wheels and guns for other consoles? Yes. And secondly, the technology is already in the controller, meaning all were buying is shells, meaning they will be very cheap!! I personally cant fucking wait!!!

Its going to be crazy. Were going to get about 4 controllers in one 1. The Rev controller/pointer for playing Rev games 2. Turn it on its side for a NES controller 3. SNES shell for Snes games 4. N64 shell for N64 games 5. Rev controller shell for playing more traditional games and ports (with added Rev bonuses of course) Okay so thats five. I think its great because it expands the range of possibilities and noone can say - "it cant play that game or this game". But - how much are these shells gonna cost? Where are we going to store them? And we're going to have to get lots of them for multiplayer gaming?? Unless theres just one shell which suits Snes, N64 and ports!! The N64 controller would be good for Snes games actually!!

They did actually say the 'normal-like' controller shell is similar to the wavebird. but the button layout wont be, thered be no point. Unless its to utilise the new technology too!!

I agree, I was really looking forward to a few games - Batallion Wars for example, I was (only in passing) thinking of possibly getting an 360, bt now it all seems boring, even when I was playing the cube this evening I was thinking about the revolution and how 'old' it's already starting to feel (the normal playing method) and thats with just afew hours worth of thought!! Crazy!

Yup yup, now its time to look at some games, please Nintendo. Stop showing us what we can do with the controller and show us what we will do with it!!

That's exactly how I feel, theres some great games for the cube, but they havent interested me as much, I thought it was cause I was getting older and just bored with games now, but then the DS came out and I love the innovation. The revolution looks incredible I just cant wait, god I hope we dont have to wait over a year to get one!!!

Hmm, in that Merrick interview (not the elephant man) he said (or hinted at) not showing showing the games until you can play them, and youll play them at E3. Personally this is a BAD idea, they need to show the games around 360 launch, then have them playable at E3, hopefully a few months away from launch. I seriously cant see a pre Autumn 06 launch, which puts the 360 a frighteningly one year ahead!!!

Tricky one, I think the market will close up. I think NIntendo will END UP being number one, maybe next gen. Im 99% certain Nintendo will be number one in Japan, and 3rd in the west - its all about HOW MUCH BY!! My prediction will be Sony, NIntendo, Microsoft!! But very close!

Well, of course there are some extreme reactions, its a pretty extreme change in control. Personally, the shock has worn off and now I am as excited as ever, especially that a 'normal' controller has been announced too for the 3rd party games. I cant wait, going to import if theres more than a couple of months difference between launches. Slightly concnerned at how some games are going to play - Pro Evo to name one!! But im sure it will be fab. Im pretty confident we'll look back in a few years when this control is the norm. Fact is, Nintendo helped create this industry and is the ONLY company that tries to evolve the industry, thats why I (and probably everyone else) loves them!! Ive said it beofre and this confirms it - they are about the games, thats what they truly care about!!
