Is it just me or did they make Ganon smaller in this game? I seem to recall him being enormous and towering over you.

We'll agree to disagree on the Warblers then. You didn't like them, I loved them. The Gap store performance was one of the highlights of the season for me.
I never said bringing in new characters will fix inconcistency and lack of development. I agree new writers for season 3 will go a long way to fixing the series, they're definitely needed.
Look I want to stick with these characters for a few more years, but I accept that storyline wise that's not possible. I think the format of the show allows a cast change once they've achieved their 'objective' and it could be good for the series which is already showing signs of fatigue.

Personally I tend to switch the 3D off 90% of the time anyway.
The poorer graphics, lower framerate and annoying ghosting have put me off.
-
Alternatively, the Warblers were a breath of fresh air to the series and introduced a fun new dynamic to those 6-8 episodes. Hey Soul Sister, Raise your Glass, Candles and in particular the performance of When I get you Alone in the GAP store were fantastic IMO.
As for Murphy changing his mind, there's a difference between a minor decision like making Sam gay or not, and a huge cast change that'll affect the entire series. He wants it based on reality, and in reality these characters will graduate and move on.
It seems pretty obvious they'll set next season up for ND to win nationals and then end on a high, the perfect opportunity to bring in new kids and freshen things up. They're already struggling to find storylines and character development for these characters. Quinn's character seems inconsistent, Mercedes going diva for an episode scraped the bottom of the barrel and the endless couple swapping amongst the club just seems a bit lazily written.

Tell me about it. I still remember when Sam was going to be gay.I'm kind of counting on even him being smart enough to realize that you don't announce that you're cutting a large part of the main cast if you don't really mean it, though. But as I said, he could still change his mind. If Prison Break can reattach a woman's head due to fan outcry, I'm sure Murphy can find a reason to have the kids stick around after next season.
Why would he change his mind? What's the problem with changing the cast after three seasons? It just makes sense seeing as they're all (or most) likely to graduate and move on. Have them win nationals at the end of season 3, end on a big high, then start fresh for season 4 with plenty of new faces.
I'm hoping the writing improves for season 3, as some of the episodes this year were dire and the writing has taken a nosedive. Character writing has been all over the place and inconsistent (Quinn, Mercedes, Santana)
Pleased to hear only 1 tribute episode, far less guest stars and about 4 songs per episode episode next season. Four songs in a row in 'Funeral' + all the songs in New York when there was plenty of story they should have been developing, nearly put me so sleep.
I also think they need to put more emphasis on adult characters like it used to be at the start of season 1.
+ more Dalton Warblers please, they were awesome.

I've never really gotten into fishing in Zelda, the endless reeling in bores me to tears
-
With the game only 4-5-6 months away it's a lot easier to avoid spoilers for this game so I only read the first bullet point...
I'm very happy to read that Zelda isn't royalty in this game, it makes sense if this is an 'origin' story, and it'll make a nice change from the norm

Looks FANTASTIC! Can't wait to pick it up.
Although I hate the new look Solar.

Have to say that all sounds AWESOME.
Big fan of musical gameplay in Zelda games. TP was the poorer without it (wolf howling apart). I was pleased with the return to form in Spirit Tracks.
Folk instruments remind me of the Wind Waker soundtrack which was fantastic IMO

Just finished the game, wanted to take my time with it. They really went all out on the whole Ganon's Castle segment, looked great!
I love the part in the end credits when Navi flies off, Link walks away and the camera pans down onto the master sword with the bells ringing in the background. Awesome. That would have made a good 'The End' screen.

Sorry, poor phrasing on my part. Threw it out as in literally threw the theory out for everyone to read as part of the ongoing discussion. Of course back then there was no confirmation interviews to refer to, so it was purely speculation. The only timeline that exists for the Zelda series incorporates the recent games. Ocarina's split timeline onward. Looking for links between the early and current games is a waste of time.
Ahh fair enough. Totally agree then.
-
It's not tough to understandYou seemed to have trouble on the previous page.
but the games are set 100 years before/after each other, it's tough to actually care that much. You cared enough to suggest there'd be seven years of pain for Hyrule after Link went back to being a child. Events from Twilight Princess (sages banishing Ganondorf to the twilight realm) shows what happened after Link went back to being a child and warning the Zelda and the King.
-
I'm not saying that there isn't.Ah ok. I must have misread:
There's no link between them all, they're just using some of the same names and shit.Fair enough don't pay any attention to it, but there most certainly is one for the more recent games since OOT and it's not that tough to understand.
-
There's no link between them all, they're just using some of the same names and shit.
There are plenty of links between every game from Ocarina of Time onwards, and those links were clearly well planned by Nintendo. The games fit together perfectly, you just refuse to see it.
-
I already threw out the split timeline theory back in the Twilight Princess thread when irritants like Motion were still around. What I said was basically the same as the quoted above. Nice to know I was thinking along the right (time)lines.Wait you don't agree with the split timeline theory? The one that's been confirmed by Nintendo?
The only games that are easy to place in the split timeline are OOT, MM, WW, TP, PH and ST. They all fit together very well. Minish Cap can probably come before OOT as well. The earlier games are the problem, back when Nintendo didn't care or plan for a timeline.

Not sure having Link pirouette like a weirdo when a door is about to be unlocked was such a good idea

I'm sure I'm in the minority but I LOVED Stafox Assault for the Gamecube, and I even grew to really like the ground battles. Lovely graphics and a more than decent Starfox title IMO.
-
I'm a big fan of Falco's Wubba da bubba
Great music.
I really like the Scramble sequence as well, didn't quite have the same effect in Lylat Wars.

When you leave Link standing there, I could swear having him sneeze wasn't on the N64!?
-
You didn't see my messages because I was on ignore? That's also dubious. What have I done to piss you off so much in the past? Or did you just add me on ignore, take thes screenshot and then put it up?
The sarcasm in your last line seems to suggest it's obvious to all that you're an attention seeker, I won't argue with that. I still don't believe a word you say, and am convinced that you act dumb on purpose (in terms of OOT) to get people talking about you. Sorry for being harsh and/or an idiot and apologies to others for going off on this tangent. It just doesn't add up that's all, but as I said I'll drop it now. Sorry Shorty oh hopefully forgiving administrator

What makes you like it more - is it the over the top difficulty on anything other than the easy path, the horrendous framerate, or the fact it's difficult to tell where you are actually aiming?Retro-cool.
I love them both as much. The OTT difficulty, simple polygons etc of Starfox/Starwing are part of the appeal for me.
-
You didn't see three distinct posts directed to you over the last two pages, but happily replied to others? Riiight.
I don't believe a word you say, either the above, the fact that you've never played OOT, or about your struggles with the simplest things in the game. It just doesn't add up IMO, and seems a way of getting some attention from others (something that seems important to you). But hey you couldn't care less what I think I'm sure, and rightly so I suppose.
-
First of all you make me sick, my videos are amazing.
Second, yeah I will absolutely be doing a review upon completion.
...
Riiiight.I ask again...
Are you pretending to be totally thick and clueless (and/or lying) when it comes to this game, on purpose? Not to mention never having played this game before now and getting names of places and items wrong all the time?
Fourth time lucky maybe

That's really awesome Ville, nice one. Brings me back *sniff*
As an aside, what is the likelihood that Starfox on the SNES is released in the 3DS e-shop? Or is it only for game boy games?

Link spinning around looks bizarre yeah. I assumed they did it so that he's looking around the room at something about to happen, and just made it look terrible. But you're right, they must have gotten it wrong and he was just supposed to focus on the door like in the original.
