This thread has brought back great memories for me, and reading through and seeing people decide to quit after years is something I went through years ago. N-E X11 back in its prime was fantastic, the banter and rivalries we had were like nothing else. I would definitely be up for a final encore season and cup with everyone starting from a clean slate. I reckon I could definitely get a certain Brian Mcoy involved, too.

Definitely interested to see how it compares to previous years at Earl's Court. As the capacity went up the queues were longer and the general experience was worsened - not horrendously, but in my mind I ended up being more like a Theme park than a games expo, where you could go on one or two big rides at the expense of huuuuge queue times (you know it's bad when Activision have brought in "4 hours queue from this point" signs in advance!) but quite often the best experience can be had by checking out the less crowded areas. In any case, I went to Gamescom in Cologne this year and nothing can possibly be as bad as that in terms of crowd control, holy shit..

I have a feeling if you're only there for that long that wont even be enough time to queue for the Rift..! Your best bet is, honestly, to go to the indie area, or the leftfield collection if it is there and find a tiny game that uses the Rift. There will be a small huddle of people wanting to give it a go rather than a 3 hour queue and you'll get to try a different experience to most, too. In fact, I went to EGX Rezzed earlier this year and played an Oculus Rift game that was like Wipeout and F-Zero had a virtual reality baby and it was incredible. Queued for a total of 20 minutes!

I didn't write in the thread but I wanted to learn to drive this year as well - living in London has just given me absolutely no reason to do so. So as far as I'm concerned it can wait!

I've just put in an order for a Majoras Mask 3DSXL with Nintendo as it is cheaper than Amazon, and plan on sending the Nintendo one back to Amazon when it arrives. Does the one from Nintendo come in retail packaging like the Amazon one?

I didn't used to mind that much when I worked there either, it was more the difference Ive noticed since getting this job. I used to do a couple of things, initially I was on the LDS team booking appointments for new businesses to meet with Barclays Business managers and open a bank account, I then went on to be a project coordinator and lead tester for Barclays Connector, which I'm hoping you've at least heard of! What's your role?

I've been out of work for a month and a half and was getting pretty demoralised with job hunting, but I just started my new job today with London Ambulance Service as a Vehicle Resource Co-ordinator, a department I never thought about existing until I got the job, and I'm really enjoying the vibe from the place so far. It means working 12 hour day, night, weekend and bank holiday shifts and unsociable days again which I had hoped I'd put behind me but I'm willing to overlook that for the pay and the 'rewarding' factor. There's this little guilty joy I get from telling people where I work now, whereas when I told them it was Barclays it was either met with indifference or slight venom

I don't think I've ever been in this thread as the only Anime I've watched before has been Evangelion, but my housemate just got me in to Kill la Kill and it is so ridiculous and over the top and I'm reeeeeally enjoying it. I'm on episode 8 right now and just want to keep trucking through, but am moving house this weekend and will be without internet for a week and a half so at least I have something to do in that time!

You heard them. Seriously. The old music thread had its problems but I'll be damned if it didn't help me find new music, and discuss anything and everything to do with music. I don't even care if we start talking about Tori Amos again. I just want musical discussion to return. So I'll start it off, but feel free to chip in with your own MUSEings (LOLOLOLOLO). Did anyone check out Elbow's new album? Came out in March, entitled Build A Rocket, Boys! and was the follow up to the extremely successful Seldom Seen Kid. This album doesn't have quite as many stadium fillers but has already been used on a multitude of TV programs with tracks like Open Arms and Lippy Kids. My current favourite off the album is probably Open Arms. It generally gets a repeat from me when it comes on on my playlist, so enjoy: The album itself isn't as listenable as Seldom Seen Kid but it's definitely worth listening to if you were a fan of any of their previous efforts. Let's do this.
