  1. Greedy Gamers

Well, as you can see, there are a lot of party/casual/multiplayer games which I normally don't complete (except for unlocking tracks/characters/levels etc) There still are a lot of singleplayer games which I didn't complete for different reasons: Another Code R: still in wrap Deadly Creatures: at around 70% of the game, than it became too repetitive for my likings Dewy's Adventure: can't seem to get into it Eledees: see above Endless Ocean: not my type of game Little King's Story: got too busy with work/personal stuff, but it's still loaded in my Wii Nights: Journey of Dreams: still in wrap Okami: still in wrap Opoona: same as dewy's and eledees Overlord: The Dark legend: play it then and again for short bursts, don't really know if I like it yet Red Steel: crappy controls, don't like it Sonic Unleashed: still in wrap Wario Land: The Shake Dimension: great game, I seriously need more time Problem is, I also own a DS and PSP which are currently heavy-used (Scribblenauts, Layton 2, Loco Roco 2, Patapon 2)
  2. Greedy Gamers

My Wii collection (48 games): Another Code R: A Journey Into Lost Memories Battalion Wars 2 Big Brain Academy Boogie Boom Blox Boom Blox Smash Party Deadly Creatures De Blob Dewy's Adventure Eledees Endless Ocean Excite Truck Grand Slam Tennis Guitar Hero 3 Guitar Hero World Tour Link's Crossbow Training Little King's Story MadWorld Mario Kart Wii Mario Party 8 Mario Strikers Charged Metroid Prime 3: Corruption Nights: Journey of Dreams No More Heroes Okami Opoona Overlord: The Dark legend Punch-Out!! Wii Rayman Raving Rabbids TV Party Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 Red Steel Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition Samba de Amigo Sonic and the Secret Rings Sonic Unleashed Super Mario Galaxy Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz Super Paper Mario Super Smash Bros. Brawl The House of the Dead: Overkill The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess Wario Land: The Shake Dimension Wii Fit Wii Music Wii Play Wii Sports Wii Sports Resort Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbaros' Treasure Some are still left unopened, so yeah, I could be a greedy gamer (I own more games than I play). On the other hand, I've never complained about a lack of games on Wii. So is this greedy? I dare to say the exact opposite; I'm complaining that there are far too many fun games this generation (and I don't even own a PS3 nor XBOX360!) I also don't own any of these (which I would like to some day): Rayman Raving Rabbids WarioWare Smooth Moves Marbles Balance Challenge Mushroom Men: The Spore Wars BlastWorks: Build, Fuse, Destroy The Munchables Let's Tap!
  3. Wii Release List

I guess you're directing towards ExciteBots, Cpt. Rainbow and Super Sluggers? In that case; me too!
  4. No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle

What do you mean Maase? Where did you read it isn't coming to Wii?
  5. Little King's Story

Everyone that doesn't allready have this game and still doubts it at this price...... B U Y IT NOW!!!!!!!
  6. Wii Sports Resort

Yeah, such a great detail that the Island has a group of "inhabitants" that are good in one sport and suck in another one Would be cool if Nintendo had a list/profile on their resorts website with all the inhabitants of Wuhu and their ranking within all the sports (including a picture). ps: I too reflect my tabletennis frustration on Lucia in Showdown, but also in Flyover; If I spot the little brat, I always try to crash my plane right upon her
  7. A Shadow's Tale

I think it's maybe just a style they chose. Just like: "Riding a friendly dino while you're dressed up as an overweight plumber with a mustache and a hunger for sliding mushrooms and rescueing princesses" Then again, it could be that it does affect the gameplay, because shadows can change form influenced by lights or opening/closing doors etc. We'll just have to wait and see
  8. What breaks a game for you?

I sometimes even prefer a shorter game, because I don't have the same amount of time for longer games as much as I used to. Also, if a game is too long for me I start to loose interest and most of the time there are new and promising games already waiting for me by that time. Back in the days I would get back from school/college and played all evening long. But now I have a 40H-job, girlfriend, sport, household, friends who don't share my interest in games. I no longer can find the time to play those longer games...
  9. Sega Plans For More Games

Chu Chu Rocket indeed! And maybe cooperating with Treasure in bringing Guardian Heroes to the Wii!
  10. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare - Reflex Edition

Only if they make it into a Paintball game, Nintendo will let their precious Mii's shoot eachother
  11. Wii Sports Resort

I think you'll have to put some extra hours in the game before you say something like that. What is it about M&S that's much better than this? because I can't find a single point in it that is. Maybe you like Sonic more as a character than your own Mii ?
  12. Disney's Epic Mickey

Maybe they just want to approach the bigger userbase the Wii has as opposed to the PS3/360? In potential it could adress to both new gamers (it's disney darling, let's buy it for our son!) and experienced gamers (wow, darker disney, sweet style!) Just a guess and way too premature to already make this kind of remarks because it's still just concept art...
  13. Dead Space Extraction

I'm kinda baffled why they didn't just use the same image for both as they look almost identical... Why would they?
  14. Wii Sports Resort

On the other hand, it would be nice that during workingdays you'll almost allways play at night and during the weekends it's all bright and shiny. It'll give you that extra "Yay, it's weekend!" feeling
  15. The Munchables

Very strange that my local MediaMarkt always has those games in stock that are somewhat rare to find. Like this and Blastworks, Little King's Story, Balance Challenge. Bad thing is the prices are far higher than in the UK...
  16. Wii General Discussion

de Blob is pure genious, but you guys are right, not really a game you pick up and play for short bursts. Boom Blox is the game to get. But if I were you, I would take a look into Boom Blox Bash/Smash Party. Have fun!
  17. Overlord: Dark Legend

For that price.... ordered it :P
  18. Is Gaming Your Dirty Little Secret?

I'm very open about it. All my frieds, colleagues, family and girlfriends friends and family constantly ask me which Wii or DS games are fun to play. My gaminghobby is fully accepted, even though I'm 28. Friends and family seem to love it as they come around to my place every week and play games. At work we have a huge chill-out place with a pool table, 50" flatscreen with a Wii and PS3, darts board and a pinnballmachine. Everybody uses those and is really fond of it too.
  19. Getting tired of fps genre..?

Strategy (RTS, TBS), Simulation (Tycoon games, SIMS), Sports and RPG have been going strong for a very long time now. They were never the No.1 genre, but always been populair. I have never been into FPS's myself, but did enjoy some of them during the N64 era.
  20. US May Sales

    Punch-Out made it. Finally!
  21. Boom Blox Bash Party

Yep, The Netherlands, hence the crappy english Strange to have different names for the same game within Europe...
  22. Boom Blox Bash Party

Saw this in Media Markt last weekend. Anybody bought it yet? I'm not sure if I should buy it. I really liked the original, but want to know if the difference with the original are big enough to make it feel fresh. BTW: Title on the box was Boom Blox Smash Party... What happened to Bash Party???
  23. Your Dream Game! Wii Edition!

Wrecking Crew Wii! - supporting M+ (imagine destroying stuff 1:1! like roundhousekicking the sh*t oud of the car in street fighter!) - physics/collision engine like Boom Blox. - firstperson view or third person like Blast Corps - 1P mode: you need to destroy buildings before your nemesis does. - multiplayer (online) mode in which you'll have to destroy stuff before your opponent does. - Level editor with online sharing
  24. I'm in fact very pleased with both the Wii's release list and back-catologue. What surprises me is the constant call for f-zero/pilot wings/kid icarus. I know they're good games and I loved all the past editions of 'em, but what I would like to see are new IP's. Not all are my cup of tea, but if you look at the sales charts; most of them have sold well, albeit among different kinds of audiences. I'm talking about the Wii prefix franchises (Sports, Play, Fit, Chess, Music) and Endless Ocean for example. But there is something I'm missing for Nintendo as a developer; a new IP not focussing on the casual market. If you compare the Wii to its predecessors there's a big difference; The NES brought us a whole list of original IP's (kind of makes sence as it was Nintendo's first console) The SNES brought the first Mario Kart, Star Fox, F-Zero, Pilotwings for example. N64 brought Waverace, Blast Corps, 1080, Yoshi's Story, Sin & Punishment and the first Smash Bros. The Cube had Luigi's Mansion, Pikmin, Animal Crossing and Doshin, Geist, Mario Strikers. But what has Nintendo brought to Wii except for sequels/casual IP's? That's the only little concern I have. Luckily enough most of the sequels are VERY good and even some of the casual games are ok-ish. And of course the Third party backing is more then plenty right now.
