I'm completely in love with the music from Warioware - Smooth Moves. It's so random and funky and bouncy and silly and fun. All the little tracks in that game bring a real smile to my face. I love the visuals aswell to that game. They look great, vibrant and clean. Also this game made excellent use of the Wiimote speaker. I must also mention World of Goo. The music in this game is simply beautiful. Unfortunately (sad story alert) I had just found out my boyfriend had cheated on me and I was devastated so the next day I thought I'd fire up some World of Goo to make me forget things. Well that didn't work because as soon as I heard the music from the level "Flying Machine", I started to weep uncontrollably. I've never heard such emotional music in all my life. That moment will be with me forever.

This is a fantastic topic so I'll chuck my 2 cents worth here. I've now got 30 Wii games and they cost approx $NZD100 a pop, give or take. I got the system at launch and have also purchased about 10 to 15 VC games. So yeah I have also spent quite a bit on gaming this generation. I do feel greedy because I always want the next big thing, problem is that games here usually get released 2 to 4 weeks later than they do where you guys live. This means that I'm spoiling the fun with prereleased trailers and videos on You Tube etc. But I can't help myself. None of my friends play Wii and I have no one to talk to about the games so I can't get into any passionate debates or conversations about any Nintendo related stuff with anyone as NZ just does not care. Which brings me to another little problem - visiting this site. This is the first place I come to when ever I turn on my computer as I love reading what people post here. It's all done thoughtfully and with a lot of knowledge behind it. So If I don't feel like playing Nintendo then I'm busy reading about it, my phone tunes are all jingles from various Nintendo games too. OK, I think I may be straying a little off topic so I'll try to get back on. I am 34, have a full time job and live on my own. I am finding it more difficult to find time to game and I feel I'm not putting as much effort into it as I should. I tend to rush through it without much thought and then am waiting for the next big release to come out. Currently waiting for Metroid Prime Trilogy and Dead Space Extraction. I am being alot more picky in the games I get now and will only get the ones I have an really high interest in or that get stunning reviews that I think I may like (although I have been let down by doing that so I really should be more careful). So basically in a nutshell I do feel more greedy and frustrated at the same time. This generation of Nintendo for me has been a real rollercoaster ride, lots of highs and lows and we are not even 3 years into it yet. Sorry for the long post but as I said I have no-one to talk to about this stuff as they are not interested, so N-Europe, you are my counsellor. Happy gaming everyone

Oh God, stop talking about how much you all love this game. We sadly don't get it here in NZ until the 15th of October. I can't wait for it now after reading all the positive comments on here. Glad you are all enjoying it though I'm sure it will be a blast to play through again when I finally do get it. Looking forward to reading S.C.Gs review too.

Apparently this game has been released according to IGN, it's on store shelves and some people have played it. That certainly snuck through the back door then. Anyone here thats in the States gotten around to playing it yet?

Mmmm, that boxart is creepy and lovely. I have a question regarding boxart, I hope it is not a stupid question. When boxart like this is released what kind of time frame are we looking at for the games release. A month? 2 perhaps or more? Is there a hard and fast rule regarding this or should I not get my hopes up too early at this stage of the game? Thanks in advance for your help.

I got the game today and I found canoeing quite exhausting. Bike riding is kinda fun but the controls are a bit weird especially in regards to turning, maybe it just takes some getting used to. I only tried the first event on each different sport. I think this game will have a lot of replay value, there is certainly alot to do and it's all presented very cleanly. The first time you jump out of the plane as the intro takes place was really cool, made me smile and sent the same shivery feeling down my spine I got when I first played tennis in Wii Sports. Hope you guys all have fun with it.

A great forum to visit for advice on TV's or anything Home Theatre and Hi-Fi related is AVForums.com. It's a UK based site I believe so you really can't go wrong. Someone from this forum pointed me to that site (people here are so helpful - I can't stress that enough) and it's been really great. The people are very knowledgable and friendly too. Highly recommend it. Good luck in finding a decent tele. Half the fun can be in the research itself

I have a question in regards to the whole "Seal of Quality" issue. Whenever I saw that logo on a Nintendo game I thought It was just for combatibility reasons. I've just pulled out an old SNES game and here's what their little statement says. "This seal is your assurance that Nintendo has reviewed this product and that it has met our standards for excellence in workmanship, reliability and entertainment value. Always look for this seal when buying games and accessories to ensure complete compatibility with your Nintendo product" To me that statment means that the cartridge (in this case) is not going to fall apart as soon as you touch it (workmanship), the game will work in the machine for a long time (reliability) and that it will be fun (entertainment value). Now admittedly I didn't pay attention to the entertainment value bit. I was only concerned that the game wouldn't break or fall apart or was not a knock off copy. I always thought that was what the whole "Seal of Quality" thing was about. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I only cared that is was compatible 100% with the machine I played it on. Just as a side note, the game I'm looking at is Yoshi's Story which I payed.........wait for it...........$150 NZD. Jesus wept! Am I looking at this Seal of Quality the wrong way? What are other peoples take on it here?

Like Comker says "Good point and well made" It will be interesting to see the sales figures when this pretty bundle gets released in Japan. Looking forward to it, (only cause I don't have a life).

I could still walk after that, but thats not for here. Yeah Ninty really should have released a black Wii from the beginning, Like they did with the Gamecube. It's ultra sexy looking and the blue light is so cool on it. It would match my Kuro TV perfectly.

Tiger Woods Golf The Conduit Silent Hill Dead Space - Extraction New Super Mario Bros Wii (This game screams classic Mario Bros stuff, reminds me alot of the remade Super Mario 3 from the All Stars cart on the SNES Other games that are looking very promising are Wii Sports Resort Red Steel 2 Resident Evil - The Darkside Chronicles (is that supposed to be coming out before the year is up?). I'd like one game a month to come out for the rest of this year just to keep me ticking over. I haven't played a new game since February, but thats given me more time with VC games - Oh how I'm loving my DKC games right now. Just waiting 2 - 3 weeks for the Conduit first up.

I don't think anyone has mentioned The Godfather yet. It's a gem of a game. The first sandbox game I ever played so I guess It holds a special place in my little gaming heart. Ah, the love.

Reading what F-Link (am I allowed to call you that?) just posted above has prompted me to put in my two cents worth and kinda made me realize something about myself. I used to think of myself as a hardcore (cringing as I write that) gamer, but I think I just got lucky. What I mean by this is I found a lot of good games by mistake. Super Metroid, Castlevania, Secret of Mana, the Super Mario games, Starfox, the list goes on. Didn't read reviews about them just picked them up as I thought they looked cool. That was back in the "good old days". I think things were a bit more guarenteed to be worthy of purchase. However in this generation of games since the Wii launched I am guilty of playing it safe because I've been burnt by titles that sounded great but I felt really let down by. Red Steel was an example of this, It's a good game but not the greatness I had expected. Other games which I thought were going to be good but I just couldn't get into were Heatseeker, Okami, (I'm gonna get punished for saying that but I have to be honest about my feelings here). No More Heroes felt too samey, Zack & Wiki frustrated my tiny mind. Super Paper Mario felt rushed and incomplete. What I'm trying to say is I have now decided to take the safe route and only pick games that I feel I will enjoy. Gone are the days of taking a risk and buying something just because it gets a good review (8/10) usually being the norm for the good Wii games as I didn't enjoy them and felt like I wasted my money This probably makes me a bit of a gaming snob to a certain extent and I do feel a bit stupid for it, but I think I'm going through some sort of gaming puberty where I'm not sure what I should be buying or playing anymore as I'm scared I won't enjoy it unless I feel it will be a sure thing. Although in saying what I've just said, I do intend on buying Tiger Woods Golf and I NEVER would have bought a golf game or any other sport game on a previous Ninty console - as I've never owned anything but Nintendo consoles. I'm having troble expressing myself here but I am scared of these new games as I'm afraid I just won't like them if I buy them unless it's an established franchise that I feel confident in. Although who knows that may even come back to bite me on the bum. Love a duck - I'm confused, anyone else feel this way? (I had trouble expressing myself just now so aplologies if what I wrote does not make sense, wish I could talk face to face about my feelings here.)

I loved how my SNES looked in my parents living room back in the day. It was so clean looking with it's gentle curves and the way the controllers clicked into their sockets showed true design thought. I love the way the Wii looks with its angular approach and clean simplistic lines UNTIL you plug in a GC controller and flaps and shit start appearing out the top of the thing. It goes from clean to cluttered in the blink of an eye. Nasty. For those of us with Wavebirds couldn't they have built in the sensors for those controllers with a option in the Wii system menu to switch the sensor configuration. I'm sure those techno boffins at Ninty could have figured that out, afterall they did give us motion sensing. The Black GC was pretty spunky too. I liked the subtle curvy orange light next to the disc cover. Class. I'd love to see their next machine have cartridge ports for the NES, SNES and N64. No need to worry about plugging in old machines or lack of VC games. You could have your entire collection working off one machine (assuming you haven't sold your old games).
