  1. Wii U General Discussion

Warner Bros. Montreal is rumoured to be working on a new title, which is apparently coming to Wii U, too. Studio hasn't announced anything new lately, have they? EDIT: Also, Child of Light from Ubisoft is coming to Europe on April 30th. America has the price of $14,99 and while European pricing hasn't been confirmed, I bet it will be around 15€.
  2. Actually, I wish there were lesser games released, so I had time to play all of them. I still have about 10 games in my To Play -list, and it feels like it's just growing all the time. Dunno if I have lesser time than before. Luckily, I have tried to clear my Wii U -pile a little, and now I have only Deus Ex: Human Revolution DC unplayed, altough that will probably have to wait until I have beaten Tropical Freeze. So, as to the topic. I play mostly with all the consoles I have, and feel there should be fewer games to come out, so I had more time to finish the ones I still have. So it's not game droughts that drive me away, but the games that interest me. It's not like I have to force to play other consoles, cause they also have games, just like Wii U. I don't know how much more time other people do, but I'm drowning in the games right now.
  3. Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric

Sega calls the information pamphlet "incorrect". Why would they say so? And why would a toy company print an advert on a game, based on not-legal info? Strange things, indeed.
  4. Wii U General Discussion

Bit of off-topic, but I thought this article was quite fun read: http://pietriots.com/2014/01/26/nintendo-a-good-problem-to-have/ Never heard of the site before, though.
  5. Yoshi's NEW Island

I just wish they would not use that same song over and over again. Surely, the game has more tunes than that right? Right?
  6. Watch Dogs (Nov 21st)

As Ubisoft will probably move to PS4/X1 level of games, I doubt it. Watch_Dogs will probably be the last one for Wii U. I remember DedSec Edition was coming to Wii U too at some point, but that one has been removed from the Ubisoft site too, so that's very clearly not coming anymore, altough some sites still have it preorderable. Oh well, I'll get this to how my support. Besides, the game seem interesting, even if it's just the normal version I'll get.
  7. Watch Dogs (Nov 21st)

You think anyone would actually read this part? Like a glitch in the system, and nothing more? That doesn't sound like Nintendoomed, better avoid it at all costs.
  8. Wii U General Discussion

Winner of Wii U Pitch -advert campaign: Can't see it with sounds right now. Also, I'm not sure it this will be shown anywhere aside YouTube.
  9. Shovel Knight

Can't see the trailer, but I'm definitely getting it. One of the most interesting eShop games coming, even if we add in the rumored Rescue Rangers Remastered.
  10. I have tried to play this game a few times, and tried to like it, as Super Mario 64 is one of the best games ever. Sadly, this game is not. I just hate everything water-themed, and this game is full of water, with over-complicated controls and too much precise platforming. Blue Coins are hidden too well, and it's close to impossible to find them all without a guide. I reached Pinna Park, but that place was too much for me. I don't like this game. At all. Thankfully Super Mario Galaxy was great again.

  13. 3DS Console Discussion

Actually, NES had such a thing, A and B regions for European market. A was used in Britain and Italy (also called Mattel-region) while B was used in everywhere else.
  14. Wii U VC

Pah, Konami should come and release the Castlevania NES trilogy already here. BTW, is it only me, or is there starting to be quite a difference between North American and European Virtual Console offerings lately?
  15. Wii U General Discussion

Really, thats all you could belch up? And no matter, it's still better than your "my word is the fact" -thing you seem to have up. If there was market, they would have shown a little more interest in such genres. Going 3rd-party would be suicide, or thats something you would say when I proposed Sony to go 3rd-party on handheld side. Cause Vita is bombing just as hard, if not more than Wii U.
  16. Wii U General Discussion

Did you even read my evidence? Thought you wouldn't. If they are not willing to buy their own exclusives now, why would they buy them when they are done by third-party in the same amounts? Sales would drop for sure, in numbers at least, and that doesn't even carry the price of licensing fees etc. You keep grunting your "3rd-part mantra" every single day, yet don't provide any single piece of evidence to back you view. Should I just take your word for granted, just because you say so? I sure won't. I stand behind my views and provide evidence to back it, fuck me, right?
  17. 3DS Console Discussion

There shouldn't be any restrictions between European markets of 3DS. For Example, I can play UK-imported games with my Finland-bought 3DS just fine.
  18. Wii U General Discussion

I'm tired of this bullcrap about Nintendo going 3rd-party and doing games for PS4 or even Xbox One. I would be a bad choice, and also a point of no return. Dropping out of home console market completely would be a better idea, while it doesn't please me much more than that. Think about it a while, are there even audience for Nintendo games on those consoles? As much as I have read around then network, every Sony or MS fan calls every single Nintendo game kiddy, and bashes on it even before it has been released. Why would those same people suddenly buy the game, if they hate them so much right now? We can take Xbox One, would that be a good new home for Nintendo games? We all now what kinds of games sell well on Xbox-crowd: shooters and sports mainly. Nintendo does not make either, so we can quite much forget that crowd. And PS4? It it any better? I'll tell you. Let's take a look at games, and how do they sell. Sony has produced some games during their years on business that could also be Nintendo games, let's take a look how they sold. Numbers are VGChartz numbers, before anyone starts to give me the glare. First, Jak & Daxter -trilogy from PS2. A console that has 150+ million consoles sold to date and a game from Naughty Dog, cited by many to be "the most talented and best game developer ever". Coombined, those three games sold about 8,27 million copies. Puff, outsold by Super Mario Galaxy alone, with over 11 million games sold. Even Super Mario Galaxy 2 "the rehash Galaxy" come close with 7,17 million games sold. Jak 3 couldn't even manage to break 2 million, so no support from platforming. Then, how about kart-racing? Nintendo has always been redundant on huge sales of Mario Kart. Sony tried that one, too with LittleBigPlanet Karting on PS3 and even Crash Team Racing on PS1, when Mario Kart 64 was a huge success. Crash Team Racing reached respectable numbers of 5 millioin, while much recent LBP Karting couldn't reach 1 million. Mario Kart on the other hand has so far reached over 5 millioin with every iteration it had, so coming from that, Sony crowd has moved ahead from that one, too. They care more of realistic racing, though Gran Tourismo 6 is not performing as many believed it would. Let's take one more. Smash Bros. is a huge success of Nintendo's with at least 5 million of each game sold. Sony tried the exact same formula with PlayStation All-Stars: Battle Royale, and that game couldn't even reach 1 million. So, what can I say, when the facts talk for themselves. Xbox-crowd doesn't care of Nintendo, and Sony-crowd probably wouldn't buy the games, but use the fact that Nintendo develops for the to glorify their own console within the console war with "Boxers". What has this to do with Wii U? I say, based on what I just wrote: keep the console, do something drastic with it, cause that's the only thing left to do. Rebrand it, form parterships, listen to those partners and help them. Going 3rd-party would be the beginning of the end, mark my words. And yes, I am serious.
  19. Wii Fit U

About 1 month of active use, and I've already lost 3 kilograms. This thing works, if you ask me. Hopefully, this amazing piece of software can help me to get back to around 70kg, where I was way back in 2007. Let myself to go fat during that time, but I feel it's not late to try again. More importantly, I got my girlfriend hooked on this one too, she did this almost 2 hours yesterday.
  20. Wii Sports Club

Yep, I got that too. Seems like a promotion for me, as the note said that Golf had been available since December, or when it was. Useful for me, as I have not yet used the new trial to try Golf.
  21. Watch Dogs (Nov 21st)

Wii U version for me, too. I loved the map on the GamePad in ACIII and Batman, so this one should benefit greatly as well. I doubt there will be any Wii U -specific upgrades. Seems like Wii U isn't getting DedSec Editioin anymore, has been removed from some of the retailer's lists. Sucks, but what can I do, I'll just get the normal version then. Or was there some ind of Special Edition, I forget.
  22. Wii U General Discussion

This is what they should be doing. Create a network if different developers, to make games for your console. Problem is finding those partners, but I'm sure they could begin some wonderful parterships, if they played their cards right.
  23. Wii U General Discussion

Yoichi Wada would probably be the next president if Iwata would step down. I'm glad he isn't.

What does it mean when the eShop-icon is flashing on the main menu? It was flashing for me once, but there was nothing different about the place.
