Super Mario Land, my very first game. Ah nostalgia...

I did the exact same thing, mine was a miniature cube though.

Retro games you've been playing lately

Donkey Kong Country on SNES. Looks great, plays great! -
I guess it doesn't really matter, like you said as long as it plays games it's good. And Shorty, why would I try to sell my SNES? I just bought it.

I'd recommend Rayman 2: The Great Escape. It's really fun and engaging. The graphics are superb and there are plenty of memorable tunes in it too. It's been ported too DS, but very poorly. So if you you had to choose, pick the n64 version. All the games above this post are great too.

Now I'm playing Super Mario Land on GameBoy. I lost it but bought it again on eBay. It was my first Nintendo game, and it'll always have a place in my heart. And soon I'll have a SNES with Donkey Kong Country. -
Stars Catalouge - Empty the warehouse

So that means my catalogue will be updated pretty soon, right? I hope so, I wouldn't mind another free game. -
Stars Catalouge - Empty the warehouse
EchoDesiato replied to JonathanEx's topic in General Gaming Discussion
Yeah, but they still aren't updating. It's annoying that we have to wait for another update until the goods from the previous updates are gone. -
Hah, Fruit Fucker rocks. Pixeljunkies also have a funny Revolution comic:

Stars Catalouge - Empty the warehouse

Bah, the Belgian stars catalogue hasn't been updated. I wish they'd update it for the whole of Europe, not just country by country. -
I freakin' love Family Guy. The episode where they have to move down south with all the rednecks where the raccoon keeps jumping out onto Peter is a classic. When the raccoon jumped out of Lois's blouse I was ROFL'ing. And Quagmire freakin' rules. Woman rings Quagmire's doorbell and Quagmire comes out in his underwear. Woman: "Package for Glenn Quagmire." Quagmire: Looks at underwear "Oh, excuse me." Goes back in the house and comes back out naked thrusting. "I got a package for you too, allright!"

I had Pokemon Red and absolutely loved it. I caught all 150 pokemon, but not Mew (I never made it to one of those Pokemon Tours ). And seeing the pokemon you caught in glorious 3D on Pokemon Stadium was fantastic. Ah, memories ...

?? Don't you mean Mario Kart Double Dash?
-
It has all the gameplay elements from the 2D Metroid games:exploration, morph ball, shooting, huge bosses, platforming, ... It also had the same atmosphere, there's a huge world waiting for you to be seen and secret places to be discovered. The metroids played a big role in the story; Samus discovers space pirate bases on Tallon IV where metroids are being experimented on with Phazon. To me it's not like the metroids where thrown in.

Seconded. I have played all Metroid games and Prime is my favourite. It has everything the 2D Metroid games have in 3D.

Your Official Reactions to the Revolution Controller.
EchoDesiato replied to Fierce_LiNk's topic in Nintendo Gaming
When I saw the pics I had no idea what you could possibly do with it, but when I saw the movie I got very excited. With that controller you will completely be sucked into the game. Instead of pressing a button you can do what you would do in real life! Can't wait to get my hands on it. -
Won't be playing anything on my Cube till the new Zelda I'm afraid. Waiting for Meteos and Nintendogs to come out for my DS.

Old ones: Gameboy (a brand new one from Lik-Sang!) Gameboy Color Nintendo 64 Atari Flashback console (not really retro since it's a rerelease with 20 games) Atari Lynx Recent ones: Gameboy Advance Nintendo Gamecube Nintendo DS

Zelda: Twilight Princess Discussion (SPOILERS: BEWARE)
EchoDesiato replied to EchoDesiato's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I don't think Nintendo will let their biggest game in years go by unnoticed. If not, they would be extremely stupid. Most Cube owners will buy it, and it might be bundled with the Revolution. -
Official Nintendo Revolution Controller Shots (56k)

Thought it was funny so I posted it, click me! -
It's my favourite Cube game. Every now and then I start up the game to just wander around with no purpose. Meta-Ridley isn't that hard if you understand it's pattern. And good luck getting 100%, every item makes a low humming noise, but you probably already knew that.

I agree with them. The gaming industry needed a new boost, and Nintendo gave it the boost it needed. The new controller opens up a new world full of possibilities. Now let's just hope developers are creative enough to fully optimize this new form of input.
