  1. My personal guestimate is two years.

I'm also pleased to announce that there are over 90M Google+ users -- well over double what I announced just a quarter ago on our earnings call. Engagement on + is also growing tremendously. I have some amazing data to share there for the first time: +users are very engaged with our products -- over 60% of them engage daily, and over 80% weekly.

Looks like Google might get their faster than I predicted.

  2. It's definitely still worth it if you can afford to do the course, unless the tech bubble suddenly bursts within the next few years. Here, it pretty much guarantees a job after graduation - or even before (1-year internships).

The real problem is that my maths isn't very good.

Sorry for going off topic; I'll have to do some research.

  3. First, get a job and save up a deposit. Look for places within your budget. View places. Sign a lease. Rent place. Live there. :)

If you're stuck for jobs, do a course/get more qualifications? Do you have a degree?

    I don't have a degree no.

    I'm currently for work.

I have some call centre experience, that's about it.

I was thinking of doing a degree in Computer Science a couple of years ago, don't know if it's still worth it.

  4. Well.... having a job is probably required for owning property.

EDIT: Unless you have a secret vagina.

Then you can let kids out of it and get given a house.

Obviously I need a job, I'm just saying how much do I need to be earning, et.al...

Also how does one apply for a job some where in a different part of the country/ or world? - Sorry if that's a stupid question, I'm a stupid person.

  5. I have a question(s).

I'm getting on a bit now (26) and would like to find my own place one day, problem is I don't really understand the whole process and I'm single + don't have a job and only have a few I.T qualifications.

Am I pretty much fucked unless I get a g/f or a high paying job?

  6. It doesn't support tethering via bluetooth.

As far as tethering via WiFi (which is much, much more common than the bluetooth form), the Vita has no way of knowing that it's tethering - it's no different to connecting to a WiFi router.

However, I don't think location data is shared between the 3G and WiFi connections on the phone. For example, when I'm tethering my laptop to my phone, it thinks I'm in London (which is probably the default for when it only gets "UK" for location). I'm not sure why it worked when you were at home, though.

So the Near feature on the WiFi model is pretty much gimped?

  7. I think the Vita is great.

My main negative, but technically also a positive, is the fact that it is so big compared to other hand-held's. Especially in it's case, it's HUUGE!

    A couple of negatives:

-Most games (atm) disable network features when you start a game. Which means no party chat, et.al...

-If I want to login to another account I need to do a factory default restore, although you don't need to format your memory stick.

-When I was out the other day, round a mates I tried tethering it to my Samsung GS2, it connected fine and I was able to browse the web but when I tried Near, it said location data can not be sent.

I went onto Google to see if other people were having difficulties and I came across one article that claims the WiFi Vita will not support tethering. I tried it the other day and the Near feature worked(via 3G tethering). I was in my house though. I'm confused LOL.

I really want to get Wipeout 2048 next week, via download from Japan store. I'm just concerned I won't be able to play it on my UK account.

  8. Details! Play it for an hour and report back! I wanna know how comfortable it is for long play sessions compared to the 3DS. Does it feel sturdy? Worth the price of admission?

Sorry guys I was really tired yesterday.

Unfortunately you will have to wait a little while longer for my full impressions.

So far so good though. It feels really nice to hold, the Gravity Rush demo was really good. I played the Uncharted Demo; but it was really short. It had stunning graphics though.

A minor negative; the Vita did freeze when I turned it off but all I needed to do was hold down the power button for awhile.

This thing is a finger print magnet but it's a non-issue in my opinion.

The game I purchased was Blazblue. Funnily enough I know nothing about the game and generally don't play fighting games. I am enjoying it so far.

If you don't mind wasting some extra income on getting it early then go ahead and import one. If I were you though I would wait, 22 Feb isn't far away now.

  9. Aren't this whacked together on one disk on the wii?!

Anyways, I'm collating a best digital downloads list but struggling on the PS3. What do people think is the best digital download game? Limbo, Joe Danger, OMG-Z?!

    If you're looking for exclusives;

I really enjoyed Pixel Junk Shooter, Wipeout HD + Furious and Flower.

For others I recommend Mega Man 9 + 10 and Super Sonic Acrobatic Rocket Powered Battle Cars.
