  1. I have saved all of these! Cowboy Bebop, Psycho Pass and Full Metal Alchemist are something I hear people talk about. Ace Attorney was something I found too. How Heavy Are Your Dumbbells looks fun too. I'm not sure what to watch next after Demon Slayer...reminding me of...

Mugen Train was amazing but I wasn't prepared for the last episode!!! 😔

The Dragon Ball thing is so confusing. Everyone has a different way to start watching and it's so confusing yet people find it confusing following Kingdom Hearts?! 🤣

  2. I am new to anime really. I've watched Death Note, Deadman Wonderland, the first season of Attack on Titan and Studio Ghibli movies, if you count them. I've just got Crunchyroll Premium purely because of Demon Slayer, which I am in love with right now. I'm halfway through Mugen Train era and it is amazing!

Can you guys recommend any more I should watch? I like horror stuff mainly. I don't like transformers-type shows with robots flying around in space (I saw an episode of one and lost interest). I've saved Gantz, My Hero Academia, Mashle, One Punch Man and Chainsaw Man. I wanna get into Bleach and One Piece but find that they have hundreds of episodes pretty daunting! Dragon Ball is another I'd like to try but my God, there's so many series and spin-offs that I don't know where to even begin! 🤣

Can you just go around avarda'ing people? And leaving no witnesses

I've completed the main story, the side quests and got most of the collectables (I need 13 conjurations and 2 wand handles...I know this means nothing to you but it would to other people who have played this game) and unfortunately, you can't go round using the killing curse on anybody. I think the videos I've been watching are mods on the PC version of the game. I'm hopeful that they will bring out DLC for this as this has truly been one of the best games I have ever played and it's a crying shame that I've nearly completed it.

I only have 5 trophies left to get and they're relatively easy. It's been absolutely unreal and it's been the first time in ages where I've been obsessed with a game and mindful of the time I've spent on it. I've let myself play it for about an hour or so a time and managed to clock up over 50 hours. I've very rarely used any guides (apart from the remaining collection chests as some of them have been a real bitch) and overall, it's been enjoyable. I've had people come up to me that have completed it in 30 hours and I just can't see how because there is just so much to do and explore and find that it would take a lot longer.

  4. I watched Scream 6 over the weekend. Very easily my second favourite Scream movie. I was surprised at how great it was. It wasn't just gore and kills (although they were brutal) but the character development and story was actually quite strong too. I'd love to see this in 4DX.

Yes she was. And I think that is why I've seen people say they wish she was in this.

Me included. Don't get me wrong, Melissa McCarthy has now got me a bit excited but Queen Latifah would've absolutely been amazing.

Was she any good on that stage version they has on Disney+?

I have always said that she should be Ursula should they do a live-action version since they started to do them. When I saw she was doing the stage show, I was so excited to see it and she really brought it to the table. She wasn't just playing Ursula, she WAS Ursula. She would've been an amazing choice!

  7. After a run of average live-action movies, this one looks absolutely awesome! I was bitter about the fact Ursula is being played by Melissa McCarthy because Queen Latifah would've literally been such an awesome choice! However after seeing the trailer, I take it back. From what I've seen, she looks and sounds pretty awesome.

I think the only thing killing this is Sebastian. I understand they want it to look real but I'm not sure about this...

No fuck Wilf. I'm surprised the other two didn't do something similar themselves after he turned on them. And Hannah picking up on that parting gift, because unlike the other traitors he knew what was coming.

What was the third version ye watched?

I don't know. I mean, I saw that there wasn't much of a choice with the first one but Amanda was a bit uncalled for but it was bound to happen. Not everyone is going to be in it to share the money. I personally wouldn't have done it but would've fought much harder to deflect it. That guy just accepted it and dropped him in it. That's just shit. It's like us playing Mafia and I get voted out as Evil and I dropped the remaining players' names. It's disrespecting the game to me.

Sorry, I meant to say that I watched two versions (UK and US) and there's three. There's one in Australia as well that I read is pretty ruthless, apparently.

  9. I've watched three versions so far and the US one is really good. The winner is well deserved.

    Spoiler

I've also watched the UK one and finished it last night. I'm sorry but I thought that the guy Wilf brought in is a complete tosser. To do that to Wilf was really bad sportsmanship. Amanda and Alyssa(?) understood that that was the game but that guy (I can't remember his name) really annoyed me doing that. It's the equivalent of someone tipping the board when they lose at Monopoly. Ver childish. I think Wilf would've won it as well was it not for "and my parting gift"...Wilf did great as a Traitor!

Haven't done it myself, but I know a few friends who've done it with no issues whatsoever.

There have been reports of some PS3 and very old PS4 games not working properly (I assume you can find a list) but other than that there are no issues.

You can revert back to your old ID, if you experience any major problems, though:

See this link (it's for US, but I guess there are sites for other countries, too :p).

Thanks for this. I think I might do it! I really want to but I am a bit scared 🤣

I haven't unlocked that spell yet but I hear you can just kill anyone so maybe. I'll let you know when I get it 🤣

I'm not that big a fan/spiteful git to purchase it full price. My brother was more the Potter fan. I've always seen it as a rip off of Discworld's Unseen University :p

Fair enough. I've not read that so I'll check it out! I just really enjoy the world and the lore of it all myself.

I've just bought the Dark Arts pack which gives me the Thestral mount, the Dark Arts Battle Arena and some cosmetic goodies (which is my favourite thing to wear as they look badass).

The arena is a lot of fun to play but would be cooler if it was unlimited waves and got harder as it went on, like Horde mode in Gears.

I've been going around doing sidemissions and exploring the world mostly. I've done any missions that let me unlock spells but other than that, I've been saving them to do later.

I've had to leave a delightful (meh) meme group on the Facebook because of this game. Don't like JK? fine - but they've gone out of their way to spoil the ending (which I've forgotten because it used names I wasn't familiar with), to ruin it for those who are playing it. Condemning those who want to play it, because buying a game which is linked to someone who has been slated for transphobic material obviously means you endorse their views and as such you should have your enjoyment ruined.

It's almost like what happened earlier this week with the trans lass on Only Connect.

I've been half tempted to get this out of spite. But I'm too cheap and currently obsessed with buying book nooks.

Buy it. If you like the Wizarding World, this would be worth it. I don't preorder or buy new games but this was well worth paying the full amount. The game is huge as well.

I'm happy I've not come across any spoilers but I hate the fact that this behaviour exists on all parts. I don't and won't let anyone stop me from liking and hating what I want but to do that is just downright disrespectful to those who have wanted to experience this game for literally years. There's many games, songs, movies and shows that have been made by terrible people that have not had this treatment because of their past or beliefs. If you don't want to buy the game or any merchandise because of your beliefs is absolutely fine but respect other people who want to buy the game or watch the films about the adventures of a witch or wizard.

Well Joanne has said that she considers people buying her stuff as an endorsement of her views, which is part of where the push back is coming from. This isn't just hypothetical, she's outright stated that buying HP merchandise such as this means - in her eyes - you agree with her. Obviously you can buy and not, but she uses the success to justify her stance regardless.

Did she really say this? I didn't know. But as I said, I'm not buying it because I agree with her political views or what have you. I'm buying the stuff because it's something I hold very dearly. Not to drag it to darkness and I understand people who don't really understand how and I know how daft it sounds but the stories have saved me a few times. Even through lockdown, I read them again and it calmed me. Something about it just does even now.

That's great to hear. It must be a joy to have such a well-put-together adaptation of something you hold so dear.

It truly is. I feel like the very thing that has given me a shed of light throughout my life has been captured so perfectly and really captured the magic that I felt in the books as well as the movies. You can tell that so much love and attention has been put into this game and for me, it's all I asked for. The only real issue I have is the Sorting could've been fleshed out a little more but honestly, it's minor because I linked my Fan Club account anyway, which was cool to do as I can use the wand from my account as well! My friend is blasting his way through the campaign but I'm savouring everything, exploring the castle, the grounds, Hogsmeade and the Forbidden Forest and just falling in love.

I really want the controller so bad but as soon as I went to buy it, it's unavailable. It's £70 but on eBay, it's going for £130+. I hate that people bought it just to sell it at stupid prices! I never buy hardware stuff like extra controllers or what have you but I would love that controller! If they release cover plates too, I guess I'll have to act fast 🙄

  15. I am a massive Harry Potter fan. Grew up with the books and movies and I have always been completely in love with the world. I know people have their opinions on JK Rowling but the world she has created is something I will forever cherish as it had genuinely kept me out of dark places in my life and allowed me to fully escape. When this game was announced, I had honestly never been so excited for a game. It's the first time in years I had even pre-ordered a game. I even did the Twitch drops and got my Fan Page stuff.

Playing it today had me in awe. It's everything I thought it would be and more. It's just absolutely stunning. I really want the PS5 controller as well!

I could swear someone was saying that "no one buys both versions of a Pokemon game" just a few weeks ago, and now we have someone literally contemplating buying a 99.9% identical game to the one they already have!

I kind of collect them. I didn't realise I had so many games, honestly. Just seemed a bit of a shame to not get the rest but I'm going for Eevee, Sword or Arceus, depending on what I can get my hands on first.

  17. 3 hours ago, MindFreak said:

Someone must correct me if I'm wrong but I believe the past and future aspect of it will become clear once you have completed the game - and it's not that significant. The stories are identical and the differences are only cosmetic.

Ugh, I just looked up the different Pokémon and it seems there's only about 15 or something? The people who invented these games were on some mad money! lmao.

I am still contemplating in getting it. Reason being is because unintentionally, I got the other games (minus the DS and Switch ones). I had Sun and Moon but it didn't interest me so I haven't touched them. X, I enjoyed playing but haven't touched Y. I'd like the Switch games. It's weird but I have them but always only ever played one. Reason being is because I got the collection for a stupid price at a car boot when I was a kid.

Those people are exaggerating the theming of the two featured legendaries. Pokémon has being doing this since the GBA games, where two usually opposing things make for the theme of the games and also the designs of their legendary Pokémon. Land and sea, truth and ideals, day and night, and so on. Past and future just happen to be the latest one.

The only real substantial difference between Scarlet and Violet is what Pokémon are available. You can just trade with a Scarlet player for the ones you can't get.

Okay. That's good to know but I think it would've been an interesting aspect to have done that. Like tying the two together and having a separate timeline.

Do you think it's worth getting Scarlet to say you have it or wait for it to be cheaper? I ask this because Pikachu and Eevee is nearly the same price as Violet and Scarlet yet I can get Sword and Shield or Diamond and Pearl cheaper...

There's a different professor and a city is different as well. Also a different main legendary but all of it amounts to absolutely nothing during gameplay. I've never understood why some people go through both Pokémon games (in general).

So it's literally the same experience? Like same trainers, story, etc? Why is everyone going on about one being in the past and the other being in the future? I thought they were different timelines! lmao. I thought it sounded interesting.

  19. Before I start with this, as far as Pokemon is concerned, I've had the exact opposite happen. I think I properly stopped playing when Gold and Silver came out as I didn't actually like the new Pokemon and I lost interest after that entry. I still have the games and I've played the others but nothing grabbed me like the Game Boy games. I bought Pokemon Violet a couple of days ago and I have to say I'm hooked. So much so that I want to go back to the other Switch games and play them as well (I did try Sword and I just didn't like the Pokemon but after giving Violet a chance and thoroughly enjoying it, I decided I'd do the same with that too). Same goes for Let's Go Eevee too. I don't know exactly what it is that's made me fall back in love with it but it's everything I've ever wanted in a Pokemon game. If they remade Red/Blue like this, I'd be so happy.

As for the topic itself, I find it to be a problem when the love for the franchise goes out of the window and turns into a cash-grab. Resident Evil has been a very rocky road but I have to admit that Biohazard and Village raised the bar for mainstream survival horror and is possibly the only exception I can make with this. Same goes for movie franchises too. People right now are excited for Indiana Jones 5 and it's like they've forgot what happened with 4. People were so excited for Texas Chainsaw Massacre that they forgot the majority of those films were pretty trash. Halloween Ends was something I boarded the hype train, admittedly, and it is genuinely the worst finale to such an iconic series. I don't necessarily mind a legacy sequel if it's done right (Scream 5 is a prime example for me) but everything is made for 80s and 90s kids to get nostalgic over regardless of quality. Star Wars is the same thing and even Marvel too. I loved both of them so much but it become so oversaturated with unnecessary sequels and mediocre spin-offs (with an exception to The Mandalorian) without a breather of excitement for another installment that I couldn't be arsed with it. Same goes for Call of Duty, Battlefield, Assassin's Creed and other games like it.
