Is there no way to buy it monthly? I really want it!
  2. Can someone explain, in simple terms, how the 80% wage thing works? I mean, I know the government are doing it but what I mean to ask is are small businesses eligible for this? Would I get it even though I'm working for a small business?
  3. Exactly the same situation as me. I've been buying as I've gone along but even then, it's helped a little but we may need to isolate soon. Thank you for actually explaining it better than I did, LMAO. Tesco, Morrisons and Asda all had humongous queues. I waited literally half an hour before being served. Shit is crazy.
  4. I know you don't mean to have a go ☺️ but I can't understand it. Honestly. It's like I said: I haven't been able to get any milk from anywhere for a while. I normally buy two weeks worth anyway but I've bought another two weeks because yet again, I haven't found any since. I've not gone out and bought thousands of everything like everyone else because I think it's ludicrous that people think they need stupid amounts like they're never going to go out ever again. Like I've said, I've just been buying gradually anyway but I've not been able to get milk for love nor money. Also, they're not buying a month's worth. They're buying so much more and you can tell by what they're attempting to buy/are buying in their trollies. People need to realise that they're not stocking up to barricade themselves for months on end. They're buying so many bags of pasta and tinned foods and bog roll but they won't probably even use it all. I can guarantee you that I'll use my milk by next month. Its handy to have anyway because by the sounds of it, I may actually need to self-isolate whereas the majority of people buying these stupid amounts don't. I didn't buy it for that intention though, it was just coincidence. Thats why I don't understand it.
  5. Exactly, people buying to combat panic buying are in fact panic buying. This situation is being caused by people doing this! It's worse when you see families of four taking separate trollies and buying everything to get quadruple as much as they need. It's getting completely out of hand with what everyone is doing but it's worse when you get people who can't get the things they need, not what they want. Like, you don't need 90 bog rolls and you don't need a thousand kitchen rolls or 28 bottles of soaps.

Sonic the Hedgehog was something I wasn't sure about but it turned out to be so much fun. I really, really enjoyed it. I also loved the mid-credits scene! The Invisible Man was absolutely brilliant. I loved everything about it from the feel of it to the characters. Definitely a must on blu-ray when it's released.
  7. Yeah but I can't have dairy otherwise I would have had normal milk. The people buying the alternatives most likely don't even need to drink it. I'm a meat-eater but I have a bad intolerance to dairy. I haven't done it with anything else but I've already not been able to get milk for myself for a week and a half. Also, I may have to isolate myself soon and the only thing I have nothing of is milk. Everything else I've been buying for weeks.
  8. Don't even get me started with that shit! It's annoying me so much right now and it's actually stressful! Facebook is to blame for a lot of this (well, the people using Facebook but you get my drift). The stuff people have sent me is unbelievable. Someone made a post saying that milk alternatives keep their dates longer than regular milk and the next thing you know, everyone wants it. The milk alternatives were selling out stupidly fast, which is annoying because that's what I need. It's got to the point that I have had to buy more than I wanted to due to people being dumb. I've managed to buy a month's worth (which is 8 cartons for me) because I've been without it for a week and a half now. Another post I saw, which was gross, was that baby formula can be used as a substitute for milk to put in your tea and coffee. I just find that absolutely disgusting if they've bought it for that reason. Like, drink black tea, black coffee, water with lemon...it won't kill you! Not just that but everything else is selling out too because the essentials are going. Toilet roll, kitchen roll, anything in tins, paracetamol, ibuprofen, tea, coffee...you name it, it's near enough gone. The stuff I've heard from my friends as well has been gruesome and quite frankly, horrifying. For instance, yesterday, my friend, who is pregnant, picked up the last bottle of Calpol and she got shoved by a guy who was also after it. Luckily she's okay but the lengths these people go to is so bad. I've seen a sales assistant in a shop yesterday coughing repeatedly in her hands and then touching everything on the shelf. Another guy later in a supermarket actually sneezed and coughed all over the food without covering his mouth. People are tramps- I can't deal with it sometimes. Even without the virus, cover your mouth with your arm or in a tissue! I thought it was common sense! It actually makes me hate people with the stuff I've seen. I don't know what's going to happen with my jobs or my course. It makes me scared not only for my employment but also for me catching it. I have breathing problems and it's the worst when I'm sick. I really don't want to catch this whatsoever!
  9. I can't believe how people are reacting. People are panic-buying to the extreme but then all they're doing is spreading it around even more by doing so because the infected can't get supplies in the first place. Nobody thinks of that. If the infected can't get supplies, they're spreading it around from place to place until they do find what they need. Yes, I think it's serious and we shouldn't take it lightly and I do think it'll be worse. I've always stocked up anyway but I don't suddenly buy everything in bulk. There was a woman in the queue yesterday morning, attempting to buy (and I shit you not... 😂) 60 bog rolls! Bitch, this ain't Resident bastard Evil. Corona don't affect you through diahorrea! Tinned food is getting stupid as well! Hell, even women's feminine hygiene products are empty as well. Also, I've forever bought hand sanitizer and I can't even get that, which royally pisses me off because I wonder what people were doing in the first place. Eww!
  10. bad stuff thread.

I think you're both right and it is what I've done. I've spoken to a couple of people and they don't have a clue either. They seem to think it's a possibility that either I've accidentally said something to offend him and he isn't brave enough to tell me, someone has spoken out of turn about me and he's believed it or he's talking to someone I dislike and he doesn't want me to know. Being honest, all three of them are a possibility but it wouldn't bother me if he just spoke to me. Instead, I get ignored and more or less blocked out and it's annoying more than anything. We both had a mutual friend who stirred the pot a little between us and I haven't had a great experience with mutual's girlfriend (she wasn't nice to either of us) and I think there's a chance they're speaking again but like I've said, I wouldn't care. As long as they keep me out of it, it wouldn't bother me. But benefit of the doubt, in case it's something deeper, I haven't blocked him from anything. Honestly, I doubt I'll speak to him again. Partially because I genuinely think he doesn't want to know anymore and because I don't think I want to know someone who would do that to a friend. I mean, I'm not perfect but I like to think I (and anybody else for that matter) deserve a bit of respect to know why he's done what he has. I think I would make myself worse if he was my friend because I'd know he could do it again and life is too short for that shit. I'll just have to put it down to a mystery never being solved- which plays on my mind. I feel a little better now though thanks to you two. I was thinking I was weird and strange or something but I'm happy that you guys see it too.

This looks awesome! Also love the creepy Destiny's Child track in the background.
  12. bad stuff thread.

I've sent him a message asking if he's okay and I was here to talk. I also asked if I've maybe said something to offend him and to tell me if I have so I can fix it. Both messages I sent, he was online and then went offline. Even tried phoning him when it said he was online and it disconnected after a few rings. It wasn't until the other day that I noticed he hasn't responded to any messages since December. I usually just send a message and not dwell on if they reply because I know everyone has lives and what have you. But this has stumped me. My other friend thought it may have been an error and told me to request a follow on Instagram again and yet again, got declined. So I just sent a message basically saying I won't hassle him but I'm here when he wants to talk things through. I haven't blocked him but I deleted his number and WhatsApp for my own peace of mind. Sounds immature, I know, but like I've said, it's triggered my OCD a little because I started to think a lot of things but I'm quite convinced it's nothing to do with what I've said or done because we last spoke on a positive note. The only thing I can think of is if someone made something up about me to him but then I don't know who and even if they have, he's normally the type to confront anyway, which makes the ignoring thing even more odd and out-of-character for him. I just think he doesn't want to know anymore. Either way, as selfish as this sounds, I need to put myself first and I just have to accept it, I guess. Do I sound weird? I don't know anymore, lmao. I just hate feeling like someone is holding a grudge and I don't get a chance to fix it. I'm just going to have to leave it, I think. It's a shame, really, but then I've done all I can.
  13. good stuff thread.

So I've had a couple of good things happen. I've gone to a new gym and it's so awesome. Everybody's very friendly and helpful, the equipment is awesome and the classes are brilliant. Funnily enough, it's the cheapest I've ever paid for a gym and yet it literally has everything and more. I also managed to do a 10K run on Saturday as well and next month, I have a Swimathon to complete. I have to do 152 lengths in a 33m pool to reach 5K. It's a killer. I've got 3 hours to complete it and I can manage 55 lengths in an hour, which is not too far from a target but it's proper difficult. It's a challenge but I'm up for it. Also, I've nearly completed my Level 2 Gym Instructor course as well. Hopefully in a month or two, depending on the timing of my jobs and what have you, you'll be talking to a qualified gym instructor! Woo!
  14. bad stuff thread.

Basically, I think one of my mates is avoiding me but I have no idea why. Been friends for years and he used to live not far from me but now he's on the other side of town or something. The last time I spoke to him face-to-face was at the start of December last year and we got on well. Played a few games, had a laugh and said we will speak again soon. We normally text over WhatsApp anyway. I wished him a Merry Christmas, a Happy New Year and messaged him a couple of times here and there but hasn't replied. I had just taken it as him being busy to reply, which I was okay with because he has a family and a job but I did notice whenever I messaged, he would be online and then go off. However, last night, I have no idea why but I decided to try and message him on Instagram and he's unfollowed me and set his profile on Private. Thought it was weird so I requested a follow last night and woke up this morning to find my request has gone (normally meaning he declined it). He hasn't blocked me on WhatsApp though because his account shows his online activity. It said he was online so I just basically asked if he was okay and if I did something to offend him to let me know and I had hoped he was okay. Honestly hate not having closure or a reason on anything. I'd rather someone just say "I don't want to know anymore" or something because then I'd just be like "Okay, dick move but whatever" and it's done but this plays with my OCD a little and it just annoys me because I want to be the kind of person who wouldn't care but I do. If we even had words or an argument or something and this happened, I'd be okay with it because I'd know why. But to go from having a laugh to blanking someone is extreme to me and I'm trying to not let myself jump to the conclusion that it's actually me and just get on with it and tell myself I can't control some things and I have no choice but to be fine with that. I know, I sound really weird but it's one of them, I guess. It's also partially why I've started not liking being close to people and why I keep my circle very small. It just feels like shit but then I have to try and focus on myself and the good things as much as I can.

It was actually because of Halle Berry but just like Catwoman, even she couldn't save that film. Fit in both but the films were awful!

You're about to see one of my top 3 favourites! Funnily enough, I've just traded my boxset for the 16-disc Ultimate Edition and I'm watching them all again as well as the extra discs. I've just finished Chamber of Secrets and I'm on Disc 2 of extras. It's all very interesting the way they've filmed everything. Seeing the interviews of all the films sewn together in segments to make an individual documentary is awesome. It also shows the amount of love and respect the cast and crew had for the stories and the characters. It's made me love it that much more and I honestly didn't think that that was even possible. I saw Birds of Prey in the cinemas. I didn't know what to expect going in but I was pleasantly surprised with everything. It's not the greatest movie ever but it was a lot of fun. Also, I love Margot Robbie. The action was fantastic and the soundtrack was good too. I actually went and bought it and play it before going to the gym. So in light of @drahkon's revelation of not seeing Harry Potter, I'm going to admit that I've only seen one Bond movie (Die Another Day...and it was dreadful), which has really surprised everybody. I've seen snippets of Bond on telly but not really focused on it. I listened to Billie Eilish's No Time To Die on repeat for the last few days and it has me excited for the movie so I'm watching them all.
  17. Fast & Furious Franchise

I love them all. I loved Fast 8 but I was right in what I said before, a part of me was a bit disappointed after because I thought 7 ended well. F9 looks unrealistic and stupid but in the best way possible. It's mindless entertainment that is not meant to be taken seriously and I don't think anybody else does either.

I have no words...it makes me upset that you've never seen Harry Potter or read the books but I'm more jealous of you because you get to experience them for the first time! I wish I could! It's my favourite series ever and has helped me a lot through life! You have to let me know what you thought of them all! 1917 was just absolutely fantastic. I was thoroughly gripped throughout. I have to be honest, I can't find one bad thing to say about it! It gets a 10/10 from me. I adore films and I have been known to fall in love with films and watch them again and again and this is no exception. It's very rare a film actually makes me feel like I'm really there but I had goosebumps throughout and couldn't take my eyes away for even one second. On the other hand, Cats made me wish the opposite. I can't believe this is a celebrated musical. I've never seen anything about this (or heard the songs except for Memory) and I wish I didn't. There's no plot. What the hell was it even about? It was just a bunch of cats introducing themselves through song and dance with two songs (Memory and Beautiful Ghosts- ironically the best ones) being the exception to that rule. Apart from Jennifer Hudson and her amazing voice and one joke made by James Corden that made me laugh a bit, this film was garbage. Believe everything you've heard about the film! It really is that bad! 1/10
  19. General TV Thread

I have started to watch Supernatural as nearly everyone I've spoken to has had a go of it and I've got by in life never watching an episode. So I'm halfway through Season 1 and, honestly, it's pretty good. It's not the greatest and there's three episodes so far that come to mind that had me drifting off but so far, it's decent enough for me to carry on but it's not one of those shows that has me hooked.

I watched Frozen 2 and I absolutely loved it. So much better than the first one and I liked the first one. The songs were brilliant. So much so that I couldn't name one as my favourite. Show Yourself and Lost in the Woods are awesome and Olaf retelling Frozen was brilliant! The animation was stunning, the characters much more developed and the story was a lot more indepth, mature and captivating. Definitely the best Disney sequel since The Lion King: Simba's Pride.
  21. Hey there, new member

Hey hey. Hope you like it here!
  22. MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Merry Christmas, N-E! I know it's early but I'm feeling pretty fucking Christmassy and I wanted to share the love. I already know what I've got for Christmas and honestly, I'm just too excited. I've been dying to create my own 'cinema room' out of my bedroom and I was toying with getting a projector or a TV. I went with a TV and my parents have very kindly given me some money to pay for some of it. I'm massively upgrading. I've gone from a 32" HD TV to a 49" 4K TV. I also got Resident Evil 2 on the PS4 to play as well as some new running shoes ready for my annual run on Christmas Day. I really want to watch 4K Blu-Rays (yeah, it begins BUT I'm DEFINITELY only getting a select few on 4K- my favourite Disney movies and Ghostbusters spring to mind but I need to know it's worth it before I do it). The TV will look pretty bloody big in my room, which is what I want and I'm going to be covering the walls with movie posters. It's going to look pretty epic once I'm done with it. Okay, enough about what I'm getting because what I got is something incredible. My mom loves to read (as do I) but I've jumped on the Kindle train and she hasn't. Until the 25th. I've got her her own Kindle and have bought her favourite books on it. I'm looking forward to seeing her reaction because she really isn't expecting it. I've led her on a false trail. I've bought her the latest installment from her favourite book series, which always releases near Christmas-time. I've also downloaded the book on the Kindle as well. My Dad hasn't decided what he wanted and he's always a bugger to buy for because he'll only like it if he can use it in his life. He doesn't like novelty stuff so I'm giving him money. He'll be happy with that. My manager has got a Liverpool scarf because although I know he likes games, he owns a shop full of them so it's not exactly like I can say "here's something you already have 10 copies of", pmsl. He loves Liverpool though so I got the official scarf. I got my friend Raging Bull on blu-ray and some chocolates for his family and my other friend I got a Cinderella Latte mug. Her brother, who I've been training and teaching how to box, has a Rick and Morty POP figure. I wanted to get him something to say well done for sticking to it. So yeah, MERRY CHRISTMAS SLAGS!
  23. MERRY CHRISTMAS!

I had a nice couple of days. Playing Resident Evil 2, in the dark with headphones on the new telly and I've never jumped so much! I'm about an hour in the game. On top of the TV and Resident Evil 2, I also got £70, a black Nintendo Wii and a huge bottle of JD from my one manager, I got a Galaxy selection box from my other manager, a JD tumbler and miniature gift set from my Secret Santa, a JD hip flask and miniature from my best friend and a £10 Primark gift card from my mate. All in all, not bad going!
  24. Being totally honest here, speaking to the Tory voters today, every single one of them had said they voted Conservatives because they want a Brexit with a hard no-deal, they don't want "no more immigrants ruining the country" and because they hate Corbyn. What surprises me more is that these people are working-class, struggling to make ends meet but they overrule that because they want to "Get Brexit Done". What's more ridiculous is that there's people out there who were also saying they would be happy to pay more tax and leave the minimum wage as it is. I was met with so much nonsense today that I actually grew tired and was drained of any energy trying to even listen to the bullshit and responding to what may as well have been a brick wall. Like @Fierce_LiNk, I also said we would pay for this choice when the Brexit vote happened (worst Birthday present ever) and we have and we will. Dirty lies and dirty tactics have led to this and it hasn't stopped since.
  25. I am speechless. Very scared now. Friday the 13th is in effect for the next five years, it seems. I am truly devastated. Another five years of this shit. Everything has been worse since they were in power and if we think that it's bad now, I'm terrified what the future will bring.
