  1. I am a huge reader. I absolutely love my Kindle Paperwhite and I read more or less every night without fail. I've just currently finished reading 13 Reasons Why and I'm really conflicted with whether I liked it or not, mainly because of how I felt about Hannah Baker. Currently, I'm reading 7 Days in Hell by Iseult Murphy and The Hunting Party by Lucy Foley. Any readers in the house? What are you reading? Oh and if you have Goodreads, add me!
  2. Doctor Who

Yes!! My favourite pair! My favourite season!
  3. Eurovision 2022

This wasn't the strongest year. Ukraine wasn't a winning song for me. Germany, Spain and UK were memorable as were Norway (it was odd but kind of catchy), Poland and Finland (The Rasmus!!). I can't remember the country but there was another song that was pretty cool. They were one of the last countries to have been judged by the votes. She had short hair, started on the floor and kicked into a sort of soft rock song.
  4. Eurovision 2022

I mean, we all predicted this...right? For me, the UK had the best song and I am so proud of Sam Ryder! The song is phenomenal and his voice is amazing and second place is the best the country has done in years! He should be proud. The biggest shock was Germany being last. They should've swapped places with Serbia (or the handwashing song). It weren't my cup of tea.
  5. Eurovision 2022

I was practicing my proposal in Spanish 😂
  6. Eurovision 2022

I said the same thing! I didn't know either! Pleasant surprise! I really loved the song as well. It was great but I just loved Space Man more. I'm not being biased at all. I've followed Sam Ryder for a long time and love his voice. Genuinely, I loved that song so much. For me, it's the best of the night. I know it probably won't win but it should, at least, be top 5 or even top 10. If its last or bottom 5, that would be ridiculous! Oh and Germany were wicked too. Really liked their song.
  7. good stuff thread.

You can get the DVDs. I have Season 1 but it's a different region. I'm sure you'll be able to get the others. Thank you! Glad it's all done! It would take me years to do a plan for ALL of you so you can all fight for them Hunger Games-style! I love the Bleep test! I'm actually pretty decent at it...or was pretty decent at it. I haven't tried it in two years!
  8. good stuff thread.

After 3 years, I have finally passed my Level 3 Personal Training course! That's it! No more studying, no more tests...nothing! So, so happy!
  9. General TV Thread

I finished watching all of Dexter: New Blood in one sitting. I literally watched all ten episodes back-to-back because I was gripped. It more than made up for that horrible ending of Dexter.

I thought he would have been pretty proud of it, to be fair. If anything, it reminded me more of Scream than the other sequels. They honoured the first one and what '96 did for slashers as well as recognising that it's a continuing story. I was pretty excited for this and I did go in with high expectations because it's a series I hold very close to my heart. It ignited my love for horror (which was ironically recognised in the new film). However I understand why some people didn't like it but I would recommend watching it in the cinemas and giving it another try. There was good and bad with the new Scream but overall, it was pretty great. It's definitely the most brutal in the franchise and I thought the story, for the most part, was definitely the strongest of the sequels. I did have a problem with a couple of things but I adored the easter eggs and the references in this one. For me, this shits all over Halloween Kills, which was dire and misleading and tried to achieve what Scream 2022 did. I can't wait to see this again to see what other easter eggs I missed.
  11. EEVIL's New Year Resolution Thread!

I'm late to the party but screw it, I'm putting this out there to the universe! I want to pass my Personal Training course, lose at least 2 or 3 stone and try to jog 5K. The last one I used to be able to do very easily but since I've had my foot injury, it's not been so great. However, it's feeling a helluva lot better so I'm going to try and do it in intervals and take it slow!
  12. Playstation 5 Console Discussion

Basically I want it as smooth as silk and looking amazing, haha. I think I might be on the correct setting. I noticed it said that it was 1080p and not 4K but honestly, it still looked better than it did on the PS4. The colours are a lot more vibrant and clear and the fluid movement was just amazing to play

I just bought the Ultimate Edition of Miles Morales so I got Spider-Man Remastered with it and I see a massive difference. I've played that game to death and loved it and it's great looking at the visuals. I don't know what settings to have it on. Right now, I have it on "Performance RT" (I think it's called that). Is that the best one?
  14. Returnal (30th April 2021)

Instantly had to play this as soon as I got my PS5 and I do not regret my decision. This game is fucking insane in the best way possible! I love it! I love the fact nothing is the same. I died once by this big git and all I had was a pistol. I was thinking "okay, I'll get the bastard back now because I got this shit", right? Nope, the whole bastard game changed on me and I am here for every single second of this shit! I have buckled up! I have to try and find technology to destroy the xenotech shit on the gates but I've had so much fun trying to avenge people (avenged two so far) that I completely forgot about the mission!
  15. General Movie Thread

I'm so fucking excited for this! I missed the Wizarding World so much! I watched all of The Matrix movies including Resurrections and watching them back-to-back made me appreciate the trilogy a lot more. I used to hate Revolutions because it felt very separate but seeing all three of them together was quite well done, I thought. I still think it's the weakest one though. Resurrections was very enjoyable- I enjoyed it a lot more than I expected. Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City is a whole different story. The trailer looked quite promising with actually following the games enough for fans to love it but alas, it was pretty dull with no tension and the characters (except for Chris and Claire) were badly cast. It's a shame because I thought it held potential and it's sad to see it wasted with crap cast choices, characters doing pointless shit and scenes being added with zero relevance to the film. At least the Project: Alice series was entertaining at some level...
  16. Playstation 5 Console Discussion

Guys, I'm joining the club! haha. I'm a bit confused though. How do I know what PS4 games I can upgrade to PS5 and what just look better (if that makes sense)? Like I know God of War is supposed to be so much better on the PS4 but it's still a PS4 game, right? However, I've just got the PS5 versions of FFVII:R, RE: Village and Plague. Is there a list of games you can upgrade? I've visited a few sites and they also include PS4 games that look better but I just want a solid list of games I can upgrade to the PS5 version from the PS4 games I have already bought... Also, any recommendations for games on the PS5? So far, I just have Ratchet and Clank: Rifts Apart and it is amazing!
  17. Show off your Christmas Swag!

That picture is definitely one to frame! Absolutely incredible talent and captured his likeness fantastically!
  18. Show off your Christmas Swag!

I can't show anything because my phone broke and it's gone crap but I've got a PS5! I can't actually believe I have one now! I'm so happy! It's a Christmas fookin' miracle!
  19. General Movie Thread

I'm genuinely confused. How do you mean by "not quite Marvel"? I'd have thought it would've been because it's Spiderman? Also, I'm excited for this film!
  20. good stuff thread.

Thank you! It's been quite tough, honestly. I did so much preparation for it and it went very smoothly. The comments I got back were great- I was told that I was very informative and knew my stuff but I could've been louder, but that was down to nerves. I'm just going to enjoy Christmas for now and hit the books hard in January ready for my Level 3. To be fair though, I've done the essays, assignments, quizzes and theory and I just need to do the practical. I'm great when I'm not being watched but because I know it's on the line and there's a difference between passing and actually having a career or failing and having it go on for longer, it sticks with me. I know I got this though!

Is it out in the UK?!
  22. General Movie Thread

Watched Ghostbusters Afterlife and it was phenomenal. I absolutely loved it. I already went in with high expectations and they exceeded them. I loved the story, the characters, the locations...everything! The last 20 minutes was worth the ticket price alone. I'm actually planning on watching it again but this is definitely the 2nd best Ghostbusters film (nothing can beat 1984)!
  23. General Movie Thread

I'm seeing it tonight! It'll be my second time going to the cinemas this year because I've been a bit shaky but my friend is going with me, which is good. I have been dying to see this movie for years and I've heard absolutely nothing but good things from everyone (apart from RT critics but then they highly rated Ghostbusters 2016 so they know absolutely nothing, lmao).
  24. good stuff thread.

So my good news is that I passed my Gym Instructor test. I am now officially qualified to teach fitness classes, instruct people on how to do exercises and help out in a gym. I am absolutely chuffed! I'm halfway there and living on a prayer! haha!
