I'm against it, but more on a political level than a moral one. In the days of mass media, it's sort of bred an overly emotional public who want somebody convicted of crimes such as murder and rape as fast as possible to the fullest extent of the law. This leads to false convictions and, if capital punishment was introduced, innocent people given the death penalty. The justice system should work without involving emotions. The death penalty will taint that.

Eh. I thought it lost a lot of steam in the third act, but I agree, the cinematography & photography was beautiful. Charlie Wilson's War Pretty decent. Julia Roberts was lame. Phillip Seymour Hoffman made up for her, though. 7/10

In the last week... The Man who Wasn't There It's not my favourite Coen, but I certainly admire their ambition. It's sort of a film-noir set in the 50's (would you believe it), and does a decent job in setting this (black & white, aliens etc.). The film does raise a few questions, though. I might try and watch it again. It seems like a film I would enjoy more if I got to know the plot a bit more. 8/10 Iron Man I know, I'm late jumping on the bandwagon, but still... An excellent first act and a pretty good second act was, imo, tarnished by a lousy ending. I can't put my finger on why, though. I suppose it reached it's conclusion too fast, and the final action sequence was overall pretty meh. I freakin' loved Downey Jr. though, as always. One of my favourite actors of recent years. 7.5/10 Unbreakable Not sure about anyone else, but I freakin' love this film. I rewatched it tonight, and it was even better than I remembered. Here's the thing about it; It's basically the first act of a typical superhero movie, or the opening of one where the protagonist discovers he has extra-normal powers; stretched across an entire 2-hour film, structured as a character study. But the most fascinating part about this is that it's set in a very realistic world (You'd understand what I mean if you've watched this). I think everyone should see this because, even if you don't care for it, you would at least be intrigued. Brilliant film, though probably the only good film M. Night Shylaman has every done. 9.5/10

Indy IV I know I'm late in reviewing this, but anyway, I liked it. Personally, I thought it kept in tone with the other Indiana Jones films. Action scenes were great, story was pretty good. I hated the ending, though. I'm pretty sure they were trying to do something similar to Raiders, but fell completely flat on it's face. Without it, it would've a 8 or even a 9, but with it, I'm gonna give it... 7/10 I also rewatched Zodiac yesterday. Still fucking brilliant. Even better than I remember, actually. I think I might even watch it again tonight.

I sort of agree. I like it, but I'm still trying to figure out what separates it enough from every other video to be the most viewed on YT. And not by a little, at least twice as many as the next mist viewed. It's Titanic all over again.

Why are people saying Enter the Matrix anyway. By that, I mean, didn't anyone read any reviews of it before playing it?

I've really got to finish off Dexter. I watched the first 10 episodes, I think, then I stopped for some reason. Uni I think. I'll start that again, along with The West Wing after I've finished off The Wire. Speaking of which... The Wire: Season 4 IMO probably the weakest season so far, but is still better than pretty much any other drama on TV right now. I admire how the plot has sprawled into many institutions and characters, which gives a wider look at Baltimore. Loved the season finale as well. 9.5/10

Goldeneye, ten years after it's release. I hate to be the controversial prick here, but that game has not aged well at all.

Blast Corps. I didn't know what to expect before I first played it, and I didn't think I would be that bothered by it, but it turned out to be one of the highlights of the N64 for me. I'll second SSX Tricky. Didn't think it would be more that average, but I had a blast playing it. Couldn't be fucked with SSX3 though. Oh, and Jade Empire. After a slew of critics saying it's a lesser KotOR, it still turned out to be a neat adventure game.

True Romance It was OK. I wish Tarantino directed it though, but alas, he had to sell his script to make Reservoir Dogs. Quite a lot of decent moments, but the best parts were with Gary Oldman and Christopher Walken. I'll give it. 7/10

with... The album has a western theme to it which sinks in well whilst playing Gun. Unfortunately, the average gamer isn't a huge fan of The Eagles, but if anyone has Gun, trying listening to the album Desperado whilst playing it, and you will not be short of surprises.

Y'know, to be honest, I think the wife was in on the whole thing, or at the very least found out eventually and played along with it. I mean, how thick do you have to be not to notice that there is somebody being kept prisoner in your basement, with the amount of food your husband is sending down there etc. Personally, I think he confessed because he knew he was found out and wanted to protect his wife.

Horror films suck these days because, to put it quite simply, it's all been done before. I can't really think of an original idea film-makers can use to create a modern horror classic. It also doesn't help that horror movies these days are produced simply to make a quick buck; or the growing negativity of the media making it harder to synthesize with the protagonist. Anyway, I agree that some of the scariest films aren't even really horror films. The last film I saw that really creeped me out was this German film called Das Experiment, which is based on the Stansfield experiment from several years ago. It was the decay of humanity and corruption of power which scared me in this film, rather than any cheap shocks. That said, I watched The Exorsist recently, and that girl coming down the stairs made me jump a mile high.

Woah. I was just asking a question. I definitely see your point, and many see it a different way, but to me, there is always going to be guns, gangs and violence. Having some protection just comes in handy. I'm not too sure about this 'killing in the heat of the moment' argument, though. I believe they come under 'accidental killings', which accounts for 1% of all total deaths by firearms in the US. I'm not too sure on that exact figure, but it's less than accidental deaths of cars, swimming pools, horses and stuff like that.
