  1. Your 2024 Gaming Diary

I can understand why you dropped Final Fantasy II, @Jonnas. It's very much the black sheep of the family and really hard to get to grips with. It took me multiple attempts to play through the game and it wasn't until 2021 (had a quick search and found my posts about it) that I finally sat down and played it from start to finish and I ended up enjoying the game. My love of grinding really came into play when I played through it. Early on, I made my team ridiculously OP and broken, so much so that I took out the last boss it 2 shots. I think if you do a little prep early on with what spells you learn you can pretty much coast through the game.

  3. Persona 3 Reload (2nd February 2024)

Okay, this got a laugh out of me.
  4. DC Cinematic Universe Discussion

Oh, I'm very much in the minority with this one. Most people hated it. I'm looking forward to seeing what Gunn can do with these franchises. It's looking promising given the stories he is wanting to draw inspiration from. Also, I loved his take on Suicide Squad. Much better than the first one.

Took a break from playing Persona 3 Reload and played another Cotton game. I noticed a couple of them were on sale and so picked up Cotton Fantasy. This is easily my fav of the 3 that I've played. It has modern visuals and there's plenty of replay value. There are 7 characters to play as (need to finish game with each for platinum) and they all play differently to one another. Some require charging your shots before firing and others don't have lives but a time limit that reduces each time you get hit. One of them was hands down better than the rest. When powered up, her bullets fill the whole screen, as seen in one of the pics I took. The levels are a lot more varied as well. Everyone starts on the same stage but you can then select which stage to go next. As you complete the game with more characters, you unlock different routes. They start off looking like standard Cotton levels but then things get wacky and end up in space! Had a cracking time with it today.
  6. The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD

    You using standard controls?
  7. DC Cinematic Universe Discussion

Finally got around to watching The Flash. What a fun movie. It was a great take on the Flashpoint storyline and the humour was spot on. The only bad point was the shoddy CGI.
  8. Lost Judgment (Judgment sequel)

The official tweets have been leading up to a showing tomorrow but it appears someone in charge of PSN has pushed the button early. Looks like it’s arriving on both PS4 and PS5.
  9. Persona 3 Reload (2nd February 2024)

I'm currently working my way through Tartarus again and I'm not sure what I think of the whole scouting mechanic. It's nice to get some items from it but I hate that some of the map is filled in for me. I like to uncover it in my own methodical way.
  10. WarioWare: Move It! (3rd November 2023)

Yeah, a big reason I've yet to pick it up is because I heard it was very short.
  11. WarioWare: Move It! (3rd November 2023)

I still need to pick it up at some point. I loved WarioWare Get It Together.

Hope you got a pretty penny for it... Ebay Listing
  13. Persona 3 Reload (2nd February 2024)

Yeah, I fired the game back up. What of it?
  14. Persona 3 Reload (2nd February 2024)

I've been eyeing that for a while now. Pretty reasonably priced as well.
  15. Persona 3 Reload (2nd February 2024)

Things picked up a bit... Think I'll call it there. Been on it the best part of the day.
  16. Football Season 2023/24

Arsenal v City match? I knocked it off at half-time. Good result for Liverpool, although we really struggled against Brighton. Still think City will somehow end up with the title though.
  17. Persona 3 Reload (2nd February 2024)

Cheers. Obviously I'm not dropping it. Just curious to know when things kick up a notch.
  18. Persona 3 Reload (2nd February 2024)

When does the story actually kick in? Characters are great but the overall plot hasn't moved forward at all and I'm now in June. Although 4 had a much slower start, it did have the intrigue going for it.

Never realised it was originally on the Mega Drive. I thought it was on the Saturn but a quick Google shows that was Cotton 2.
  20. Your 2024 Gaming Diary

I enjoyed Bat Boy so much that I went for the double platinum and ended up playing through it again. Also played through Panorama Cotton. I played one of the Cotton games last year and enjoyed my time with it. While that one was a 2D side scrolling game, this is more like Space Harrier. The game is totally wacky and half the time I didn't have a clue at what I was shooting at. The devs were certainly smoking something when creating these games. Kinda reminds me of the craziness in the Parodius/Pop'n Twinbee games. There are several more in the series that are available to purchase. I bought both of the ones that I've played last year when they were on deep sale and will keep an eye out for the others being discounted.
  21. Princess Peach Showtime (March 22 2024)

The adventure is over. Endless Vibe becomes available once you have collected everything and played through each stage again. Bit of a pointless power up seeing as there's nothing left to do but hey ho. Really enjoyed my time with the game. When you revisit a game after so long you often wonder if it was actually any good and will it still hold up today. SPP is a cracking platformer and I probably appreciate it more now than when I did back when it was first released.
  22. Persona 3 Reload (2nd February 2024)

In the current area I'm in I tend to get 2,000+ if I get Shuffle Time and the money bonus. Once I reach 100k (on 75k) I'll leave and move on with the story.
  23. Persona 3 Reload (2nd February 2024)

I've reached the next blocking point in Tartarus. Wasn't a fan of that second area, mainly due to the layout. I preferred the less imaginative, but far easier to navigate, first area. Team is currently level 20 and even though I could leave now, I'm tempted to start from floor 1 and go all the way through it again. It's not so much about wanting exp but more about making sure I have enough cash for any new equipment that is for sale.
