I'm confused as to what I'm really looking at. Is the blue plane the water's surface? Since it's already kinda cartoony looking, I'd toss it in a fish tank to help make the viewer more able to understand what's actually going on. Plus, I think it'd be cute. :3

I guilt tripped my sister into buying CoD Black Ops for the 360 so she can play with my brother and I. Why this is awesome is because my sister lives in Wisconsin, my brother lives in Florida, and I live in Washington. AKA we don't get to do too many things together, and so playing some Nazi Zombies with them is heaps of fun and takes away that whole barrier of not getting to see them all that often. So that's the best thing to happen to me today. Getting to spend time with my siblings.

I own three copies of aLttP, two on SNES and another on GBA. I even bought four swords for GCN (which was insanely more fun than aLttP) My problem with the game is the pacing and lack of direction. The game encourages...err forces you to talk to every NPC and go to every corner of the map in the most roundabout ways (just to lengthen gameplay) in order for you to start the game. The dungeons didn't feel like dungeons as much as just a twisted path to follow where you have to kill certain enemies. That being said, in the half dozen times I've tried to like the game, I've never been able to stand it's terrible formula for more than a few hours. Also, Zelda 2 > A Link to the Past. Zelda 2 and Windwaker are my favorites.

LoZ aLttP was a terrible game.

I got a Wii on launch day.... and this year has really been the only time that I've really paid any attention to it because most of the other GARBAGE that's been pumped out otherwise has been just that. Garbage.

^That's one of the saddest things I've ever read. Poor poor games. @/ nando / I haven't played any of those :P I'll definitely be trying to pick them up. I'm also looking for Donkey Kong Country 2 and 3... as I haven't really played either of them that much... and DKC Returns is coming out soon and so I'm all sorts of hyped up about it haha. (11 days for US release! haha)

If you want games that have some actual depth to them the SNES comes to mind. I'm a "retro collector" aka I have just heaps of all sorts of old stuff.... and even though my primary focus in collecting is the NES, the SNES has just been getting a lot more love lately from me. Games like Super Mario World, Donkey Kong Country, Super Metroid... all fantastic games that really should only be played on original hardware. (All games that I've actually played through on my SNES within the last week XD) That being said, I'm a platform junkie... I <3 my platformers. There are a handful of underappreciated games on the SNES too like The Adventures of Kid Kleets! Kid Kleets was neat because the only way to hurt people in the game is by using your soccer ball... you can't jump on people's heads becasue that'll hurt YOU haha. This takes a little bit of getting used to and you WILL die a LOT in the first stages... but eventually you'll get very comfortable with your ball and it makes the game a very interesting and very fun experience. The controls for the most part are just spot on too. There's a lot of platformer games that don't quite feel precise or polished enough... but this one hits it perfectly. The only down side to this game is that it's rather short... taking only a few hours to beat if you're dedicated to the cause :P Uniracers was a really cute and interesting racing/platformer/stunt...game thing that I had a BLAST with back in the day, sadly my cartridge doesn't work anymore Think of Sonic + Tony Hawk + good racing.... then add in a vial of WIN and you have Uniracers. (Apparently the PAL version is called Unirally or something like that) The game has awesome multiplayer as well, and really is where the game shines. The single player is fun in itself, but as always racing games are more fun with friends. A lot of people say that gaming really hit it's stride at the SNES, and it seemed like that's where developers were able to do all sorts of things that they'd been WANTING to do for the past X years but didn't really have the power to do it. As much as I love the NES, I have to say if you're going back to find one good console worth checking out, it's gotta be the Super Nintendo.

The windmill is a bit low res because originally it was supposed to just be a background element.... and I was hoping that when it's animated it would help sell it... but pictures don't show the animation haha. I agree though, I could dress it up a bit more. The house on the right side of the image... I put a lot of focus into the porch area of it, and didn't ever even pay any attention to the roof really. That house is made up of heaps of modular pieces that I made, and there's another house built off of those same pieces off in the distance to the left of that image. (around 30 seconds in on my demo reel) The alleyway scene.... *sigh* my professor forced me into not making full buildings, and so the buildings in it all really rely on their placements and such. The tall brick buildings are just glorified planes really. there's only one side to them plus some thickness so the tops don't look too odd. Then there is the smaller brick building, and the blueish building which both are separate buildings... and even still can't really stand alone because I designed those assets around the fact that those buildings belong right there. The props that decorate the buildings all are able to stand on their own. I really enjoy making props... but I don't like just putting props on display as props... so I make a whole environment to go along with it.... and yea. I think that's my main problem. I have another environment that I worked on with a small team of students (me and 2 other kids) It was a map for UT3, and this was my first Unreal project :P I made 1/3rd of the art in the map, and was in charge of the level design, placing all the assets in the map, most environment effects (which the pictures don't show off too well...), animated objects, and the kismet scripting in the map (movers, animated lights, destructible objects... stuff like that).

I just found a rather awesome vegan channel on youtube, so to my fellow vegans/vegetarians/food eaters I'd suggest you give her a look. She's funny and makes food that looks and sounds amazing. Plus she's funny, cute, and creative so... there's that too. She's got heaps of other videos... and I haven't found one that I don't like yet.

I'd be really interested in seeing that book, what's the name of it? The rarity is something that... I dunno I've never looked up my stuff in a list or anything, so my idea of "rare" is just stuff that I don't really ever see in 2nd hand shops or on ebay. That's why I went with the "most prized gaming items" part of the thread title. :P Also, @Arnieboy touche' sir. That is a rather swell setup and collection. At my new place it's hard to really classify what the gaming setups are, because there's 6 of us living here... all of us gamers... and so there's stuff hooked up all over the place haha. It's funny how we cherish even stuff like gamesaves.... because when you said it has your late father's save on the Zelda cart, even I was like "awwwww." Edit: didn't see Arnie's new post there. I have a boxed complete copy of Kirby 64 :P I bought it at a book store.... strangely enough.

I'm not much into tattoos to begin with.. and this type of thing is why. I don't like the idea of putting one sticker on something. One small sticker just draws too much attention to itself and becomes something separate from the rest of the surface. That being said... I really like this girl's tattoos. To me it seems more of something that was fitted to the body, rather than stamped on... if that makes sense to you. I'm not going to say to not get a tattoo or anything like that, obviously you've put a lot of thought into it, but like someone said earlier... I'd look at that picture every day for a month and see if you still love everything about it. Let that decide for you if you want it.

There's this place around here "Amante" that's just absolutely fantastic. It's rather pricey, but my god is it the best pizza I've ever had. I also like how they actually separate their pizza menus into "Pizzas with meat." and "Pizzas without meat." That being said, I've only ordered a pizza off their "with meat" menu, and asked for it without meat.... because I'm difficult like that.

Well that's Texas... I don't see Texas being very vegetarian friendly haha. Lately my favorite restaurant is Chipotle. It doesn't help that there's this cute girl working there that I really just gotta ask out.... but it's weird to ask a girl at a restaurant if she wants to go grab food sometime haha.

Dominos... gah I want dominos now. Not even their pizza, but they have pasta bread bowls that are absolutely terrible for you but OH SO GOOD. I used to live in Florida, ended up actually going to Universal Studios to graduate from college (seriously, my graduation was at the Hard Rock Live there XD) I haven't been to most of the other parks you listed in YEARS though, so it's just kinda nostalgic to see all these pictures and stuff. Oh god, I have plenty. Since I'm a whore for youtube I always have my camera on me, or I'm doing silly things for a video and end up taking a pic anyhow. ^Was for a video... Yes, I'm American haha. (rewired a DDR pad to be USB so it'd work with my laptop which is velcro'd to the roof of the truck) ^Best ice cream ever. This is why I wear a hat. I went hiking through the badlands while on a roadtrip. this picture wouldn't have happened haha. I dated a girl who Best photobomb ever? :P I was the best man at the wedding. It was great haha.

Like a funniest home movies type thing? *Feels like the kid that left, then came back two years later and missed out on a lot of stuff in the middle and so these things that should be common knowledge to the community are a mystery to me.*

What makes a meal awesome? Pasta. Pasta makes a meal awesome. I'm a vegetarian, so there's been plenty of times I've had extremely awkward dining experiences.... Me: Hey! Can I have a Cheese quesadilla? Server: Sir, we don't have those. That's not on the menu. Me: Well can I have a chicken one, but just don't put the chicken on there? I'm a vegetarian. Server: Do you want the chicken on the side? Me: *facepalm* No thanks, you can keep it. Then they put bacon on it. Because bacon is a vegetable. I honestly think restaraunts sometimes do that type of stuff just to spite me. It's always bacon too. Whenever I say I'm a vegetarian they always think they're clever or something and put bacon in there. (Not EVERY time... but it's happened a small handful of times so I'm going to exaggerate.)

When I was in 2nd grade my family was going for a bike ride for exercise! Our destination? McDonalds! (Yea, seems silly to me now too.) Anyhow, we were crossing 4 lanes of traffic and I heard my little brother squeel behind me... his chain had come off his bike. He's 2 years younger than I am... so he had to be like 5 at the time. He panicked and didn't know what to do. I turned around to help him get out of the road. He was fumbling around with the chain when I saw a large black pickup truck coming straight at us. I pushed my little brother out of the way and got hit by the truck. I ended up a few feet down the road. The helmet I was wearing had exploded (Thankfully I was wearing my helmet...) and I heard my mom cussing at the lady in the truck. An Ambulance came and took me to go get Xrays and such... but I wasn't hurt.... at all. I don't think I was even bleeding or anything anywhere. So as much as it didn't injure me... it's a neat story that's relevant. I did break my wrist once by tripping over a wooden box while running backwards and trying to catch myself. Second day at summer camp, woo woo! Another time my sister swung her backpack at me (over hand swing) and hit me on top of the head.... and the little center part of the dial on the padlock she had on her back pack hit me. I don't remember it hurting... but I remember being covered in blood. Ended up getting stitches.

I'm wearing my The Social Network Tshirt right now actually. :p My friend managed to get my roommates and I all into a pre screening of the movie. (where they also gave away Tshirts, posters, mouse pads... random stuff) I enjoyed it heaps. The story was decent and I liked the characters for the most part. The ending bothered me though, it seemed rather anti climactic.... the ending caught me by surprise I guess.... but it was still a fun ride.

Haha Trust me, I was out there launch day for the Wii, was 9th in line out of 14. The system just has disappointed me time and time again.... which is why I'm so surprised that DKCReturns interests me so much. Then again, I've been on a SNES spree. I'm playing through Super Metroid for the first time right now hahahaha.
