Not revolutionary, but nobody claims it is. It's just a fantastic FPS.
Well apart from Play magazine.
Also not sure about weapon stacking system, could make combat really boring not being able to change weaponary.
-
What was so revolutionary about Halo? (Genuin question, not ripping the piss)
TP level of polish...hmmmm
I honestly don't know. Grenade button maybe. Not knocking Halo though, awesome series, however I wouldn't say it was revolutionary.
MP3 looking better by the second.
-
- First level - You are attacked on a spaceship while meeting with the ship’s captain…action packed
- Play feels motion controls work better than dual joystick
- Super sensitive pointer in “advanced” mode
- Beam stacking ala Super Metroid
- Visor switch: Hold minus and flick Wiimote in certain directions
- Boss fight with Ridley at the end of the first level. Excellent difficulty curve by the time you reach the boss.
- Back tracking in MP3:C makes more sense than in previous Primes
- Extra development time was to give the game more polish. Nintendo wanted “Twilight Princess” levels of polish. Game is focused on Metroid fans and hardcore gamers, but still accessible to newcomers due to controls.
- Second level - floating city focused on exploration
- Larger environments, bloom lighting, better textures than Prime 2
- Corruption Mode not available in demo
- Play says it could be the biggest revolution in FPS gaming since Halo.

Just saw that Update and put it this way;
I definitely said 'WOW'.
Fantastic Graphics!!

I think what they mean is that they would (I know I would too) prefer it to be like Twilight Princess when using the boomerang or bow, in which you aim with the Wiimote, but you can shift your aim left or right with the stick.
I think you mean the opposite or are confused about the aiming. Either way like Hellfire said its exactly like that.

It bollocks tho if anything the Wii is the best equipped of all the three consoles to deal with stopping under aged people playing it as it has parental controls.
The Wii is marketed as console for everyone, its other people that think it is a kids only console, idiots...
Of course you and I know thats true. But to the Gaming ignorant parent demographic a game which has a lot of bad press for being violent, sadistic and peverse is going to make them think twice about buying the Wii for little Martin.
I you ask me Nintendo hasn't really marketed it Parental Controls like a company such as AOL has, which is to their detriment. Something to improve for the future as more mature titles are released.
-
I think their main gripe is that they feel the aiming is disjointed and not a fluid, intuitive action which is fair enough. I think we'll all agree that its going to take some getting used to use the wiimote, nunchuck combo.
Its probably a factor that won't appeal to casuals, but at the end of the day Resi 4 is a Hardcore game. end of. Its not Wii Sports thats user friendly, family inclusive and all the rest as much as Capcom try, and its what us true gamers love.
I still await some credible reviewers however.

haha, i never really considered buying this game, but now i'm thinking of importing it just to "stick it to The Man"
You don't have to thank me::shrug:
But yeh I agree, like prohibition in the 1920 America, ironically it may have and adverse effect on the popularity and desire to play the game.
FIGHT THE POWER *Public Enemy for those who aren't down with it:p *

The graphics are pretty much the same but better because of the widescreen, so there is a slight improvement. Nothing major though.
I loved aiming, it's very very precise and intuitive, it feels very satisfying targeting specific body parts. Honeslty, I can't put any flaw in it.
Fair enough. Still not totally convinced yet though.

I agree with a lot of what Boo has said.
Although in saying that I very much doubt we have seen the last of him.
Still will be missed

Im actually genuinely surprised this is banned. Not that I would want to buy it myself but thats beside the point. The fact that people who would want this game are not allowed to I feel is ludicrous. Especially seeing the amount of films with similar content that are allowed to be purchased.
I believe this is a real blow to the Wii's mature market, a real blow!
On the other hand some may argue that the Wii's family friendly image has not been tarnished by this game, as a lot of parents obviously consider buying a Wii for this reason.
Nonetheless, Rockstar must be fuming right now, quite rightly.

people have tried that against me and although it is very annoying. You can stop it. If you time it right you can get the kremlin guy to intercept and knock him out the air. I love it when i do that to the Toad jumpers.
really you can bring the Keeper out.
Theres SO much I don't know.
*Goes to read the manual*

Ok, i've got 2 Kanye West tickets for his performance in Manchester on the July 2nd. I bought them for £35 each (they are great seats, trust me) so i'm selling em each for that price.
The performance starts a 7:00pm on that night, and looks like it's a one off performance (his next performance is in Edinburgh lol).
Paypal is preferable! let me know if you're interested.
Also, apparantly Jay-Z and J.Foxx will be there, but i'm not sure where I heard that from (probs the radio).
I would mate but don't have enough money.
Also would have to find someone to go up to Manchester with me. I live in Kent.

Lets hope is more than "If your playing well, the CPU will start using cheap tactics"
I've got a sneaking suspicion thats exactly what it will be, but we shall see.

How exactly is the next-gen version of Pro Evo going to be all that different from last gen? Slightly improved physics, that's about all I can think of.
"THE MOST REALISTIC FOOTBALL GAME YET"
Wait another six months
"THE MOST REALISTIC FOOTBALL GAME YET!"
Wait some more.
I agree, I mean gameplay wise what more can you significantly do to the next instalment to warrant a purchase?

I hate to piss on peoples fire here, but why can't they just issue us a basic concept similar to Wii Sprots but in depth, With teams, bring out a glove and sock and were sorted.
At the end of the day guys...
Fifa 360 + PS3 >>>>>> Fifa Wii
PES 360 + PS3>>>>>>PES Wii...
Don't get me wrong I like the ideas they are showing, but just give me something simple, yet oh so satisfying...
Im sorry but I couldn't disagree with you more.
I don't know what part of that statement to tackle first to be honest.
but I'll go with
1) Judging a game before you've played or even seen it in motion is an unwise thing to do
2) Attaching the Wiimote to the foot is definitely NOT the way to go!
3) New PES 360/PS3 has barely been shown and the Wii one isn't even announced yet.
4) Why would FIFA be like Wii Sports in its Simplicity just because its on wii?
-
Well I've got the game now, bought it on Friday and spent most of the weekend on it... played multiplayer mainly so I haven't managed to unlock anything through the main game just yet.
...it's OK, but nothing special in my eyes. I still rate Zelda, Wii Sports and SSX Blur above it, out of the games I own. But it's worth the purchase!
I agree with Zelda and Wii Sports, but is Blur really better than Strikers. I really enjoy this game to be honest, but still think scoring is quite unsatisfy really. I feel I don't really get that satisfaction from scoring that I should especially if its a decent goal. Maybe if there was a bit more skill in scoring ala Pro Evo. Oh well, the game is still awesome.

I finished the game about 60hrs after buying it! I booked a week off work and thought I'd pace myself... I just couldn't put it down tough! 47hrs game time was my completion time!
Racked over 100hrs on it now fishing and trying to find the remaining 3 Poes and 3 heart pieces I need!
I LOVE this game!
Booked a week off work:o Dude thats Hardcore!
-
I already played the game, so I can say honestly: that review is a pile of shit.
I've played it too
No seriously what did you think about the aiming especially and did you notice a difference graphics wise from Gamecube *be honest now:heh: *

Hey, atleast your 20 hours in!!! I purchased this game release date, I talk about it a lot and this game was so highly anticipated by me, yet.... I'm still at the part where you turn into the wolf for the first time (just after seeing Zelda)
. I can't wait till my exams finish, it's going to be me and Zelda TP for some sweet marathon sessions!!! (How I miss this game though!)
Yeh me too when Summer Holidays hits I will really get stuck in. Im about 30hrs and counting:)

God, I love this thread.
I've stayed well clear seeing as I still haven't completed Twillight Princess yet.
I know ridiculous right! (especially since I've had it since Christmas and its my most anticipated game of all time:heh: just don't want it to end:shakehead )
