Thankyou for all of your imput, I have a an extra 100 odd pounds to use, I was wondering whether I should spend it on 2gb of RAM (extra 75 pounds) or go one up on the video card and get a 7800 GTX (extra 130 pounds). Does anyone know if 2gb of RAM is needed for todays powerful games?

I would also like help in buying a new pc, i'm willing to spend up to 900 pounds. I will be using it mainly for playing games such as Fear & CoD 2, and watching dvds. I've been looking at a couple of sites and found a few and would like to know what anyone thinks of the specs matched with the prices. http://www.meshcomputers.com/Default.aspx?PAGE=PRODUCTVIEWPAGE&USG=PRODUCT&ENT=PRODUCT&KEY=59930 http://configure.euro.dell.com/dellstore/config.aspx?cs=ukdhs1&kc=HPUK5&oc=D01915A&x=1&y=7 Any advice would be great. Thanks.

I saw on the news that in a christmas production of Snow White in London, they've replaced the dwarves with gnomes.

Snow ...... Snoooow! I had a dream that the new SC game would feature arctic missions, and now my dream has come true While SC's story is rather boring it's actual stealth elements are much better than MGS. (although just to let you know I do prefer MGS overall)

Yeah it is very common, mostly with directors and composers, actors & editors. For example - Tim Burton (director) + Danny Elfman (composer) + Johnny Depp (actor) are a common group. or, Steven Spielberg + John Williams + Tom Hanks + Michael Kahn (editor). I loved Lost in Translation, this film seems to have the same indie style approach to that era.

I'll be at Astoria, haven't seem them before, should be good. Has anyone seen them live before and was it good?

The teaser trailer for Mission: Impossible 3 is now online http://www.empireonline.co.uk/news/story.asp?NID=17704 Personally I loved the first two, this one looks great too.. enjoy.

Looks so good... hmm, doubt it will top Sith though.

This trailer is quite old now, i hope they release a full version soon. I think Brandon Routh is a perfect choice appearance wise, don't know what his acting skills are like though. And as for Smallville, although I do enjoy the show, I don't want it to have any connection to the films at all. I'd rather it remain it's own thing. Uncanny!

Tenacious D and the Pick of Destiny! But yeah this one does look more like the second film, which I did enjoy more despite slow-mo overkill. The music seems more like the first film, Hans Zimmer (one of my favourite film composers) has been replaced by Micheal Giacchino, haven't heard of him before but I looked on Imdb and he did the soundtrack for the Medal of Honour and Call of Duty games, so should be good. But without trying to sound gay or anything I do prefer Cruise with his longer hair.

Please don't tell me that's what Beast looks like, I was expecting an all CGI Beast with the Frasier guy doing the voice. This is what I had in mind or this I want something like what they did with the Hulk, only to beast.

Hi, i'm currently looking for a pc, one that can run todays games like HL2, FEAR & CoD 2 at fairly high settings. My budget is 800 quid (although something around 700 - 750 would be ideal). I have been looking around and i've found 2 that i'm interested in, http://www.carrerassc.co.uk/carrera_sysconf2.asp?systemvar=y http://www.pcnextday.co.uk/product_detail.asp?stype=5&productcode=3366-4401&group=PCOEM&pgroup=CS If anyone could tell me if these are good deals or if I should look elsewhere then that would be great. Thanks.

JD: Dr.Cox.. Dr.Cox:Newbie, if the next two words out of your mouth aren't 'See ya' then the third word will be 'Oh my god. My crotch. You've punched me in my crotch.'. JD: See Ya! Can't wait for Series 3 on dvd, anyone know when it's out?

South Park should be there it's fooking genius. I voted for Family Guy, because I am bored of Simpsons at the moment.

Goldfrapp's great, her voice is amazing. Utopia's probably my favourite song of theirs.

Halo and GTA are the two best examples of an overrated game, no thery're not bad games, but they're not amazing like the majority of publications say.
