  1. There's having a sense of humour then there's purposely trying to be offensive towards someone. They MAY be jokes, but it was clear he was trying to annoy me.

I.e. I wouldn't constantly take the piss out of Allah (I think that's the name of their god) to a blatent Muslim member.

NO I was making a joke which seems to have made people laugh and why you can't laugh along I don't know.

  2. Jokes may not get you banned, but clearly trying to annoy others and harass them with offensive jokes may get a smacked wrist.

Now, if I'm nice enough not to try and offend people, I should expect the same of you and everyone else. Most people seem to have it down to a tee here, being nice and non-offensive, but a select few (like yourself), as mentioned before need to be more polite.

and I think someone needs to lighten up.

  3. Fuck sake, here he goes again insulting people.

Can we just have a ban on him? He is causing like 90% of the arguements on this forum...

Agreed imagine how many less arguments this forum would if him and Hobz were banned in the same week.

  4. Fields is only playing some Light Hearted Humour on you ;)

Don't take it too heart, if you take everything to heart on here you will be listening to MCR more than a half decent band like Oasis.

    [/End Kind Advice]

Hay I listen to MCR more than Oasis.

Ewww, oasis. And it may have been a joke or not, but it can still deeply offend...chav language/attitudes just ain't right, y'know?

You like things like S Club, Maroon 5 and The Rasmus FFS.

  6. Um....

Aaron Kwok, Hikawa Kiyoshi, Aya Matsuura, Gackt, Orange Range, JUNE, Anime OSTs, Guang Liang, Farenheit, Psycho Le Cemu are some asian artists I like.

David Bowie, Michael Jackson, Meatloaf, Chicago, Jim Croce, Cher, Madonna (old stuff), Kylie (old stuff), Spice Girls (group and individual), S Club, Rasmus, Maroon 5, Franz Ferdinand, Mika, Razorlight, Madness, Beautiful South, Steps, Goldfinger, Genesis, Phil Collins, Adam and the Ants, Duran Duran, Dexy's Midnight Runners, The Darkness, Gorillaz, Pink, Loituma, O-zone, Wierd Al Yankovich, Lilly Allen, and so on are some of my music tastes.

Andrew Lloyd Webber music I like, especially Phantom of the Opera, Evita and Cats.

I also love the Mulan, Pirates of the Caribbean and Lion King soundtracks. I don't mind a bit of Carmen, or Tchaiskovsky either. But most classical bores me. And I dislike rap and hip hop, particularly eminem.

The bolded ones are the ones I didn't just read as shit.

  7. As one of the more friendly members of N-E, I wish to extend a warm welcome to you on behalf of everyone.

If your one of the more friendly members of the forum this has to be one of the nastiest forums ever.

And welcome to whatsher name I spose.

  8. GameSpot Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hands-On

Nintendo showed off a playable, work-in-progress version of Super Smash Bros. Brawl for the Wii at a media event today. The playable demo of the game featured 14 playable characters, including the recently announced Sonic the Hedgehog. We were able to pick any of the fighters and dive into a two-minute KO brawl on one of 11 stages. Although the playable demo was obviously focused on letting the assembled press get their hands on the game, the other big aspect of the demo was the ability to try out two of the control schemes being used, either with the classic controller or only the Wii Remote.

Prior to our initial hands-on time, a brief presentation for the game by a Nintendo rep offered a quick overview of the schemes and showed off the game's familiar mechanics, as well as some of the new tweaks being made. The roster of fighters included the usual already-announced suspects: Mario, Donkey Kong, Link, Samus, Fox McCloud, Pikachu, Diddy Kong, Pit, Meta Knight, Ike (from the Fire Emblem series), Peach, Yoshi, Sonic, and Bowser. As with the previous games, each character can be personalized a bit with a set of alternate color schemes to choose from.

After two quick battles--one between Mario and Samus, and the other featuring Sonic and Link--we were able to try the game ourselves. Although we intend to clock in a lot more time with the game, our initial impressions are: It's Smash Brothers, and it's fun. Nevertheless, the jury is still out on the two control schemes; currently we're not thrilled with either option, and we're longing for a GameCube controller. Regardless, we're going to keep an open mind and log in time before rendering judgment.

Our first take on the visuals in action is that they're sharp, with nice bits of flash peppered throughout. Character models look good, and the stages are nicely designed, with a lot of motion and dynamic elements that include plenty of hazards. The game moves at a smooth clip, regardless of how crazy the visuals get, which should keep things vibrant and wild.

That's what we have so far, but you can expect more soon. In the meantime, we'll have videos and an interview on the game up shortly.
