I've been really looking forward to this given my recent fun with Wario Ware Gold but I've been a little wary (Wario Wary ) about how this one might turn out given the shift in focus of how you clear each microgame with different characters and their particular abilities. I'm not against Nintendo trying something fresh with a series that consistently provides fun ways to use their hardware but the demo has left me feeling even more skeptical that before! I'm sure it'll ultimately be great when it releases and I get to grips with each of the characters but even at this late stage, something seems a little off..

I hope you're right I played it not that long ago again and it holds up as one of my favourite games of that generation!

It's the only game this month I'm interested in checking out.. and I have! I played through the basic training (It's a bit irritating the way it is broken up with having to go back to the menu for each tutorial ) and had a set in an exhibition as Federer against Monfils. The game, and it's predecessor, has a bad reputation but it actually seems fine. Maybe the cracks will be more apparent the more I play but I can definitely see the Top Spin DNA in there and I'm intrigued to dive in a little deeper as a more 'realistic' alternative to Mario Tennis Aces!

..and who am I blaming for Spirit Tracks -

I'm bumping this thread for one reason and one reason only.. PLAY THIS GAME I cleared the main portion of the game a couple of years ago but there is so much else to do between the different gameplay variations and missions that you just simply can't sleep on WarioWare Gold! Coming out in 2018 obviously put it at a disadvantage given that Switch was already out and had an unbelievable 2017 but if you're still sitting there with it sealed, barely touched or maybe not even purchased just stop what you're doing right now, get that 3DS charged and enjoy one of the funniest, whackiest and most exhilarating games out there right now. Thank me later

August 21 N-E Game Club: DS Edition - Kirby: Power Paintbrush

If you'd went with Phantom Hourglass ahead of Spirit Tracks and its slow, laborious dungeons, my vote may have went a different direction but I've went for the one I'd love an excuse to blast through again.. Elite Beat Agents If I want to break down the rest of the nominees, Ghost Trick is a game I love and went to revisit it last year. I didn't play it for long but I struggled to get myself into it again and to avoid risking it's legacy in my head, I moved onto something else. Perhaps I'll go back one day, but it doesn't feel like the right time! Kirby: Power Paintbrush became something of an unexpected hit with me. When I played it initially, I went through the game without going out of my way for the collectables and it was OK, without being spectacular. I returned several years later and focused of collecting everything I had missed the first time around. My appreciation for the game soared after that to the point where Rainbow Paintbrush on Wii U couldn't really match up in the end. Having said that, I feel a bit like I had my time with the game and don't really have an immediate desire to return.. and if I did, I can't see myself dedicating the time to go after everything again. Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword may have come up here due to mentioning it to @Vileplume2000 on Discord last week as I had actually played it randomly a little one day to see how it holds up these days! I didn't get very far and could be interested in carrying on.. especially if I can find my old Dragon Sword stylus somewhere 😅 Finally, and I touched on it earlier, is Spirit Tracks which fell so far below Phantom Hourglass it wasn't even funny Perhaps Phantom Hourglass had the benefit of feeling fresh due to the new ways of controlling Link, his items and creating notes on the map and therefore Spirit Tracks had more trouble with trying to capture the same magic (Definitely worried that the sequel to Breath of the Wild could struggle with this aspect too) but there are larger issues in spite of that. I don't have a good history with top down Zelda games (in fact, Phantom Hourglass is perhaps the only one I really liked in addition to A Link Between Worlds on 3DS) but I had a particular problem with the dungeons in Spirit Tracks due to how much I hated having to move the Phantom around so often. It made each dungeon such a drag and I never want to experience that again -
Just brought our perfect little daughter home from the hospital tonight and feeling like our family is complete

That's the last thing I'd be after! A glowing endorsement! Glad I won't be making the same mistake All jokes aside (it wasn't all jokes ) I've never really looked into the Oracle games, even when they came to 3DS Virtual Console. Always kinda wondered how different they might have been given Capcom's involvement but never curious enough to give them a go!

KONAMI - What the hell are they doing!?

Ah well, you'll always have Resident Evil! -
I'm only an hour and a half in and everything has been faultless so far.. apart from that which I also noticed I feel like the game is going to be exactly what I want it to be all over again!

The credits rolled in the Golf Adventure mode last night.. and that's that for now, I guess..? Mario Tennis Aces got a few extra little missions added on via DLC to the single player of that game but I had already been more than satisfied with what had already been provided at launch as it was With everyone else seemingly clamouring for a deeper RPG mode for Mario Golf Super Rush, I found myself expecting a similar experience to Aces.. and that would be more than fine with me Unfortunately, what we got is a pretty below par adventure (and I use the term 'adventure' loosely.. and the term 'pretty' perhaps even more loosely The visuals can take a serious hit at times, particular in speed golf!) When we say footage a few weeks ago highlighting different challenges and boss battles, I thought it was gonna be great! What's there is serviceable enough but definitely very lacklustre and further highlights that the game wasn't really finished before they pushed it out the door. I'm looking forward to whatever DLC comes our way (is it wrong to be hoping for all of the old N64 courses like we got in World Tour?) but, whatever the case, I'm still really enjoying the game. As is usual with Mario sports games, though, I'm having a lot more fun with the core sport rather than all of the extra things like speed golf and special shots. I certainly don't mind them as extra modes but I suspect most of my playtime will be spent playing standard golf online over the next few weeks

I've had a preorder in since February with ShopTo.. and it still hasn't arrived! Tracking information suggests Monday at the earliest. It's a real shame as they have been great with me in the past (Tony Hawk's Pro Skater on Switch arrived a day early ) but I've been really looking forward to this! On the plus side, I should get a £5 voucher with them to use on something else since it didn't make it on release day Maybe use it on eShop credit or something!

It would be much more troubling if it was an illegal "dick move"!

That Super Metroid cartridge you sold me for £2 lost the data right before the end and I effectively had to play through it twice in succession.. in your honour!

Nintendo Switch (OLED Model) - 8th October 2021

Preorder placed If a PS5 and Series X can't do it for me, maybe a really minor upgrade to a console I've already owned more than 4 years already will be more my style..
