  1. 2-3 times more powerful than Gamecube, now basically confirmed

Look, IGN aren't SPONG, if they say they heard from several >>MAJOR THIRD PARTY DEVELOPERS<<, then they MEAN IT. A bunch of big developers aren't going to spit out lies for the hell of it. Please, less denial, more acceptance. Nintendo NEVER said they wouldn't let specs be leaked, they said they'd probably never bother announcing them themselves because they didn't feel it mattered. It's obvious why they were thinking that way with what we've just found out.

I wish everyone would stop being in denial. The RAM is essentially CONFIRMED and even if they have a super processor and graphics card, which is hugely unlikely when they've only went with this much RAM, as I'm sure they'll want balance, there's only so much they could do with it with a quarter of the memory of other next gen systems. I think it's a better idea for everyone to lower their expectations now for when we really do start seeing games. Metroid Prime 3's video is definitely looking like a good representation of Revolution just now.

You know you COULD argue that the controller technology is costing them a huge amount of money, hence why they're downplaying graphics technology, because really, it probably is. I mean it's obvious that it's their priority and all. Another part of it though I think is that they've realised since their vision is going to end up with less third party support, they're going to need to put a lot more money and developing the actual games for the system, also hiring a lot more staff and opening up new studios.
  4. Director of SSB Revolution confirmed!

Considering he left Nintendo years ago due to not liking the idea of doing sequels much, it IS a surprise that he's back for this, especially considering it's not just a sequel, it's the third in a series.
  5. Anyone tried Resi 4 Professional mode yet?

I've completed Professional, it's really not THAT hard, nothing compared to trying to unlock the handcannon anyway in my opinion.
  6. Seeing the Revolution controller today, a lot of things went through my mind, as I'm sure did everyone else's, but what I've been thinking about most now is the extreme potential for first person shooters, ESPECIALLY Metroid Prime 3. The aiming system will be fantastic and the Revolution easily has the buttons it need to handle all the features from prime (with the analogue expansion obviously). A jump, B shoot, gyro for aiming, analogue for movement, either a or b for missiles (although I hope these buttons are easy to push in the final design, right now it looks awkward), D-pad for beams, a or b for morphball and the buttons on the back of the analogue could be for cycling through visors or something. his has went from being a game I wasn't all that interested in now, to one of my most anticipated titles really. I just hope it's not too insanely hard to get used to controlling it that way. Right now the specs of the system barely matter to me too, so long as it looks a bit better, I'm sold.
