I recommend you buy a separate sound system or an amp, and put the audio through that. Luckily my monitor has audio-in and audio out, which I can then plug my speaker system for my PC into the latter. And cheers for the reply, and would be wicked if you could put a few screens up.

I said before that I was going to bump this up when I got my Quad, and take the top position...............but seems this benchmarking software doesn't support 4 cores, as my highest score was around 7800, and that was when my chip was overclocked to 2.8GHz. Disappointed.

Sounds very promising. I'm sitting on the fence about this cable currently, but it does seem like the ultimate solution to everyones VGA problems. I'm confused though about your comment saying don't expect to get a HD resolution? As the cable only supports 480p, so that is the best you'll get anyway. I'm guessing your concern is just about sitting close and seeing the pixels. I plan to pick the cable up once Metroid Prime 3 is released, and I'll be using it on a 19" WS. Wanna post up any screens DCK?

I'm guessing you played the demo on a SDTV then, as I think it looks completely average if it's on lower resolutions..............but in 720p looks quite stunning. There's no point to point races in the game, all lap based. Seriously though, the more you play the demo and get into the handling then the more you'll like the game. Demo is really limited though, and they really should have put one of the Alpine tracks in. The track choices for the demo though would have come down to having the opportunity to show off the track deformation.

It's all about the purple for sure. :wink: All I know is that from what I've heard, certain members that people cry out here for a lot have simply either had enough of this place or have generally grown up from posting on a gaming forum. Don't go asking for names though, as you won't get them.

If your hosting supports php and mysql, then I'd recommend using Wordpress as it's really customizable. It's a bit tricky to set up, but there's lots of documentation on the website for it I believe.

If you've got a network set up, and can be arsed to fiddle with settings, then you can just stream stuff from your computer using TVersity on the fly, as it converts while playing. http://tversity.com/download/ Not used it myself, but heard very good things about it.

Yeh, it was a bit of a silly question...........and I should of just looked it up. Anyway, I smoke, and I welcome the introduction of these pictures on cigarette packets. I'm not a heavy smoker, and only tend to smoke when out drinking, and since the smoking ban has come in I've had it on my mind a lot to just give it up...........as it really isn't worth it, but I do say I enjoy a cigarette while drinking a beer.

Aren't these spec listings about two months old or so. Still, we'll know by the middle of Sept what the real deal is, as beta multiplayer commences around then. My system will be able to run it fine, but not at full settings because of my video card.

Haha. Then again all Wii games generally look bad when you are also seeing screens all day coming from 360/PS3 games. I had to turn the chance down though, as leaving in a week or two. I have no interest in this game though, but I hope it turns out good purely because it's got both Mario and Sonic in the same game. Sales should also be pretty impressive if marketed the right way.

Will be buying...........but I think I may be over doing it racing games wise, with buying Burnout Paradise (if it's this year), Sega Rally and also this. What's attracted me to possibly buying this is the graphics and how accurate the cities are............and I've heard that photo mode gives you the opportunity to move a camera around yourself and look at everything in detail. Hope that is actually true. I'll be dissapointed though if bikes play an equal role to the cars, as really I don't give a damn about them. Also reading the list of cars makes me want more actual road cars like MSR had back in the day.

True, very true. I have to say though that what you wrote up above in the long post was pretty impressive, and I enjoyed reading it.

I'm personally guessing something like this is the problem. That's my old notebook, and some of you may remember I posted some pics up over a year ago showing this. All that crap came out of the fan supplying air to the CPU. I also had a highpitched screeching sort of sound before I opened it up and fixed the problem. My notebook was a Toshiba for reference. How long have you had the laptop, and do you tend to use it while in bed or have it sitting on carpet..........if so, then I'd be fairly sure that is the problem. If I can dig it out later, I have a link that provides instructions for certain lappys and how to dismantle them..........but if that is the problem, then it simply should be a case of just removing the keyboard and then you'll have access to the fan. I used a combination of tweezers, compressed air and a hoover suction thing to sort it out. Post back up though as to how long you've had it, and how you use it with where it's resting, as taking them to bits can be really frustrating with a worry of breaking parts.

I was about to order one of them this afternoon, but this could of possibly left me struggling to get through the month money wise. So gonna wait it out till the bank extend my overdraft at the end of the month and I'll get one. I've heard they are pretty much silent, and one of the most reliable PSU's out there. Same goes for the 620W I assume, but they are both very pricey for just a PSU. £70 for the 520W isn't a good price at all I think, but maybe in the long run it's the better idea to just slap the cash down.
