  1. Unravel

Loving this game. Just has a tangible and emotionally engaging quality throughout. At times it feels a little rough (like a first outing sometimes does), but this is forgiven due to the settings/scope/imagination shown. Playing this alongside Yoshi and seeing how different they take their source material has been interesting too. Love games that do something different and aren't afraid to show heart. This has it in spades.
  2. Super Mario Maker

Would have LOVED a Christmas theme. New BG's/Music gotta come next I hope! Some nice additions though.
  3. Assassin's Creed: Syndicate

Only about 20% into the game but have spent ages just unlocking perks and running around. Has made my PS4 purchase justifiable- even though I bought one for PES16. Now at level 6 and really enjoying the game. I really need to get back into Black Flag (was enjoying it then just stopped after one too many follow-sneak missions). This is much better. Feels like the most refined AC - even better than AC2 for me! Don't want this one to end. More Jacob/Evie would be great in the future please!
  4. Super Mario Maker Level IDs

This. Thanks @peterl0. It's great to play with the elements to use them in surprising ways. IE: The mushroom masts.
  5. Super Mario Maker Level IDs

Inspired by DKC2, I've been looking to create some pirate levels. I don't have a DK/DIDDY Amiibo though and can't seem to use the ones I've unlocked in the single player anywhere??! I really like the puzzle/platforming mix here. King Dry Bones' Lair You must have JavaScript enabled on your device to view Miiverse posts that have been embedded in a website. 7. Super Mario Maker

How do I get the update fellas? Still have to wait daily to get new tilesets. My wiiU doesn't have any new info in download management. FFS lol
  8. NINTENDO GAMING TOURNAMENT EVENT

StarFox/Lylat Wars high scores? Wave Race/F-Zero GX lap times DKC Tropical Freeze time trials Warioware high scores (like jump rope/paper aeroplane) Pushmo challenges (who can complete ten puzzles the quickest - start easy and ramp it up and you can create a themed one for your event.) Super Mario Maker 15minute makeover. Who can create the craziest alternative 1-1 in 15minutes. Blindfolded Mario Chase where other players direct the runner or those chasing the Mario Mii. Guitar Hero/Rockband/Just Dance competitions Speed running old games. SONIC 1 Green Hill Zone is good for this.
  9. Disney Infinity 3.0: Star Wars

@Hero\-of\-Time you still enjoying this? How does Empire hold up against Twilight of the Republic? Can't wait to unlock me some X-Wings for the ToyBox! Judging by the opening Mickey course the ToyBox raceway add-on should be very good too!
  10. Disney Infinity 3.0: Star Wars

Yep. Will work a charm @dazzybee Looking forward to making some StarFox and Rogue Squadron-type games. All possible.
  11. Disney Infinity 3.0: Star Wars

@dazzybee The pack for SWars figures (Ashoka/Ani) with playset was £25 in Grainger Games. £30 everywhere else I looked. The game was £20 in Grainger Games (standalone) but is £15 on eShop. Pack was £45 all in from Grainger Games (£50 in supermarkets), so picked up the £45 bundle as prefer over digital as I might want to sell it one day.
  12. Disney Infinity 3.0: Star Wars

Picked it up & loving it. Feels good to be playing a AAA 3rd party game on the system. The single player Star Wars stuff is fantastic. Feels very much like Ratchet and Clank 3 with all the hopping into vehicles and cruising across the galaxy and collecting sparks. Drop-in/out co-op is fantastic (smooth too!) and it's all much easier to understand than previous games. Oh and unlocking/building Star Wars levels in the ToyBox is brilliant. I'm aiming to build a Banjo Kazooie inspired Star Wars Rusty Bucket Bay/Tatooine Desert level. Ridiculous fun!! @Hero\-of\-Time try downloading one of my cloud saved levels (Mario64 castle/lava) and let me know if it works. Cross platform level sharing --not sure if it works.
  13. Disney Infinity 3.0: Star Wars

Apparently the WiiU version runs fantastic after the blip that was 2.0 (sup 720p, random framerate drops). Avalanche made it in house and dropped some of the toybox touchscreen functions (dragged the Framerate down in 1.0 and 2.0) and have brought it back to a higher resolution. Pending my dire game store, may end up with this today. @dazzybee be cool to share levels if you pick this up.
  14. Disney Infinity 3.0: Star Wars

Will be buying the WiiU version ASAP. Loved DI 1.0. Remaking N64 3D levels was challenging but great fun. Think this game will make Mario Maker my Christmas game due to the toybox allowing 2D and 3D design and working with my 1.0 figures. It's £19.99 on the eShop (Monday apparently?) and the Star Wars play set is £25 in store. However, saw the entire set for £45 today (with base too). May as well just buy that and trade old base/other games toward it. Can then sell the game down the line if I ever wish to. These are superb games (2.0 stumble aside) and I'm surprised more WiiU gamers aren't picking this up. Co-op and off-TV ToyBox building is fantastic!
  15. Stars Catalogue/Updates

5000 for the trophies...damn. Only have 3500. MK8 OST it is then.
  16. Kirby and the Rainbow Curse

Pretty good price at only £18.95! Will keep on my radar for later on in the year. Still have Yoshi and Splatoon to finish. http://www.thegamecollection.net/kirby-and-the-rainbow-paintbrush-wii-u.html
  17. Shameless self-plug incoming... So I've been nominated as one of the Careers Advisers of the year in the UK and feel relieved my hard work has been recognised. If you'd like to help me win please vote for me at: http://www.careerschampion.co.uk I'm Mark Lee :-) If anyone would like to read what my year has consisted of... I've created a website for Hartlepool kids at http://www.knowyourcollege.co.uk and written most of the content over the last few years. I've set up a regional careers advisers network to improve practice in schools (which is dire due to government cuts and reduction in training). And I've led on building social media awareness sessions and other careers-based sessions for young people. I've also secured stronger university links into Colleges, taken part in national research with Derby University and developed new teaching resources for local education providers and shared them to help kids explore industries. A busy time no doubt but I'm passionate about my job and love helping people find, fulfil or even change their ambitions. Thanks in anticipation. :-)
  18. Help me win a UK competition??

Thanks everyone much appreciated! Lol @Nolan
  19. Yoshi's Woolly World (June 26th)

Thanks for those tunes @RedShell I'm currently enjoying the pyramid level music. Has an Alladdin SNES vibe. On another note... The Amiibo double Yoshi integration is rock hard to play with. Anyone else just avoid it? Am I doing it wrong lol?
  20. Yoshi's Woolly World (June 26th)

Enjoying this a lot. Feels like a proper Yoshi's Island game! It just came today (Amazon!) I am enjoying the OST. Love this song @RedShell :awesome:
  21. Let's talk about this place.

Good thread. Important that an open, honest discussion takes place sometimes to clear the air. Look I'm a 32yr old guy with a passion for Nintendo. But the Nintendo I grew up on has changed. I feel the frustration but when I look at my games collection it still offers joy. You see, at the heart of everything are still those games that have the Nintendo magic. I come here to talk about that, revel in Nintendo and feel part of a community. During the GC years I needed a place like this to lurk. It made me feel I wasn't alone as a Nintendo fan. People forget how bad that generation was for European Nintendo console owners. Point is, it is the games we come to talk about, the games keep us together. (Bind us, surround us etc lol). Unfortunately, the games seem to be driving some folk mad. Many seem to be here with a form of psychosis - perpetually telling everyone what Nintendo should be doing - against what is actually happening in reality. In such circumstances many a thread has been ruined by discussions on what games DON'T have. Sure, state your grievances - that's fine and welcome. But when it becomes all encompassing and de-rails threads, I'd rather spend my time somewhere else. I would just ask folk to think before posting. 'We' are N-Europe after all. What it is, is a reflection of who we are.
  22. Unravel

I agree. Looks astounding. Dat Yarn Yoshi Amiibo got competition...
  23. NINTENDO @ E3: Let the Hype juices flow

Has anyone else downloaded any of the free preview games on the eShop? There are some gems! Freedom planet is a gem of a 16-Bit platformer and Typoman is like limbo with letters. Anyone else tried any?
  24. NINTENDO @ E3: Let the Hype juices flow
