  1. Constant Mii Codes!?

Can I ask, how to you access your friend codes on Mario Strikers? I heard you go to it via an in-game menu, and that unlike DS games you DONT have it on a piece of paper with the game? Surely if you try logging on with two different Mii's, and get different Friend Codes, that confirms that Friend codes are Mii specific, which will be alot less hassle for us all . I agree with DCK, I think he said that and then realised Nintendo didn't want to reveal that news yet. It looks pretty promising anyway.
  2. Final Fantasy CC: The Crystal Bearers!

I'm really looking forward to this game. Ever since they promised that it would be everything the GC version wasn't (A proper single player Final Fantasy experience) I've figured it has alot of potential. Square-Enix make great games and this looks like it'll be no exception. I do still think there is alot they could do wrong about this game, and with them most likely on a limited budget they'll withold from it ever being as great as it could, I still think they'll pull of something great. Looking forward to hearing about more support from Square-Enix personally, they've annouced 3 games so far and 2 are looking awesome. With the Wii selling so incredible in Japan it's a no-brainer they'll be upping the wii support . Bring on the next in the Mana series!
  3. Konami = Idiots!

Firstly, I think it's worth mentioning Konami have two more unititled Wii projects under developement. An "Original Action Adventure Game" and "RPG". To me these brief descriptions sound alot more promising to the market we want to see them aim at (Us!) and well, that puts their total Wii projects up to about 6 that we know about. That's a pretty high number and is more then most other third parties. I don't blame them for putting Silent Hill 5 on the 360 / PS3, the fact is it suits them consoles more. It's a game which should be given the HD treatment, the amazing graphics treatment, it's not a franchise which benefits more from what the Wii offers. I think if there is one Konami franchise that needs to be on the Wii, it's the already mentioned Mystical Ninja. That game is pure genius, and much more suits the motion controls offering then better graphics. I think Konami have handled the Wii great so far. Eledees was a great way of making a game that appeals to both casuals and hardcores (To some extent) and Dewy's Adventure again seems to be doing the same sort of thing. They seems much better then alot of third party efforts. At the same time they still seem like Konami is holding back from making something truly incredible for the Wii, which will hopefully be addressed after the success of Eledees .
  4. Boogie

I can't decide on this games. Sometimes they put aload of Bratz esque, this is a girls game, characters all around and make it looks like a steaming pile of ****. While other times it looks like a really unique, original concept trying to combine Dance Dance Revolution with Guitar Hero with the Wii Remote. I'll probably pass on this, but if I'm having some mates over like a week after it's released then I'm sure it'll be great for the party, and I'll probably buy it. It's a good game for the Wii as it's getting an audience in who PS3 and 360 simply can't attract, shame though this market generally plays crap games .
  5. Rayman and red steel sales!

Ubisoft are a bit of a weird company. They were the only third party to put any sort of faith into the Wii's ability to make profit before it started selling so incredibly well, but they knew they could get away with putting in less effort then you would hope for. On top of this, their next line up of games seems to be geared once again at the 'produce a cheap game, sell it to casuals' type market. My Word Coach? Horsez 2? All crap I'm affraid, well to anyone who cares about gaming. I hope Brothers in Arm: DT and Red Steel 2 have alot more care put into them. Red Steel 2 could be great if they actually give it a proper budget, but to be honest I can't see Ubisoft ever producing anything good for the Wii. Aside from Assassin's Creed I swear they struggle to make a good game. It'll be interesting but really I think there are much better third parties suited to developing for the Wii. Let Ubisoft bring in the 'casual' crowd and let companies like Grasshopper, Media Vision and Capcom produce proper Wii games.
  6. Opoona

It's an RPG and really gaming is always simplistic from a controls point of view anyway (well traditionally). I think Opoona looks great and really hope it comes out in the US or EU. RPG's are going to be sparse for the first few years of the Wii's life and Opoona looks like it has a pretty strong developement team behind it. The art style is great (imo) and it looks like it's got some pretty original aspect to the gameplay. I'm not sure I can see it ever being successful outside of Japan though, but it seems to have that 'casual gamer' appeal to it as well.
  7. Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Spoilers Topic)

It's funny you say that. I'm sure Nintendo have been looking at bring Kid Icarus back sooner or later. The original sold over 1 million copies and it is no doubt a franchise which if Nintendo brought back they could turn it into something big. I mean it's perfect to go with the current state of video games and could be potentially huge. I'm sure Nintendo plan on bringing Kid ICarus back in a full game, and SSBB is the first step is testing the public reaction. Also there are two other trophey descriptions which 'hint' at a character returning in the next Smash Bro's game. King DeDeDe is one but I can't remember the other .
  8. The E3 2007 Anticipation Thread

There's no doubt Wii Music and Wii Health Pack will feature heavily at one of the upcoming big conferences. If not E3 then the Tokyo Games Show (more likely imo) or E for Everyone (again more likely). I hope Nintendo annouced some new IP's in all honesty. D:DoC and Project Hammer look like great new franchises and I hope Nintendo don't stop there. They've made numerous hints at Nintendo's upcoming projects being gear to a more 'hardcore' market and E3 is definitely the best place to annouced that sort of stuff. I honestly think Nintendo will carry on making the stuff their fanbase love (Zelda, Mario, Metroid etc) and let the third parties do all the casual games. Just look at the line ups from EA and Ubisoft, it's clear which market they're primary focus is on.
  9. BWii: Batallion Wars 2

I've read the highest this game is confirmed for online so far is 2v2? Has there been any more news on this and is that on the same console? :|. This game surely needs a minimum of 4v4 to be a online, I mean it's a tactical RTS. Team Work should be the biggest point of online play in this game .
  10. Mario Kart 2007?!

Although Mario Kart Wii is definitely going to happen, I can't see it happening before 2008. Surely it's going to be one of the big 2008 releases, I mean what else can Nintendo follow MP3, SMG and SSBB up with? :P.
