My post was a response to the guy on the previous page who mentioned he already owned an RGB Scart for the Gamecube, and besides Component cables go for over £30 due to their rarity. Scart cables go for a fiver. Note I'm talking about the Gamecube here, not the Wii. If you're going to choose between the 2 for the Wii then component is, of course, the better option.

Xbox Live is not a necessary £40 a year like people seem to constantly point out. The silver service is free, and that gives you all of the perks of the Gold service except for online gaming. This includes downloadable demos, trailers, online leaderboards, friends list, messaging, chat, etc. When Nintendo actually get some decent online games, only then will the price become relevant.

I'd take Nintendo's online service a little more seriously if it didn't take 20 minutes to send a message.

What the fuck are "opposite" component cables? That's the stupidest thing i've heard today, but then it is only 10:50 and i've yet to talk to one of the people in my Uni group who has the IQ of a carrot. So there's still hope. Anyway, there isn't any point upgrading to a component cable for the Gamecube unless you have both an EDTV or a HDTV, and also a stack of NTSC games so you can play them in progressive scan. Otherwise the difference between component and RGB scart is minimal, and isn't worth it for the price you'll be paying.

The problem with that site is that you need to pay for shipping, and taking that into account the price per can is pretty silly. The shipping is free for all orders over £100 though, and I nearly bought 6 packs to take advantage of that offer a couple of months ago. Then I came to my senses and realised that spending £100 in one go on fizzy drinks is idiotic. I'd probably die after drinking 144 cans of the stuff anyway.

As much as I hate to agree with Jordan, he's right on this one. I don't see why the controls are terrible. Besides, it's not like you're using it for precision racing (unless you're dicking around on Zanzibar). You use it for a quick getaway and/or part of a co-ordinated assault.

Yes, it works. My internet is shared with 2 other computers (wired) and an Xbox 360, all under one network bridge. Whenever you take out and plug in the dongle, it automatically creates the connection under that bridge. And it doesn't mess up the dongle, as all of the modification is purely software based. You can uninstall the application and reinstall the Nintendo one if you want to.

What firmware do you have? You need 1.0 or 1.5 to run the installer. There are downgraders available for most higher versions of firmware to take it back to 1.5.

Nobody is forcing you to watch it, are they? There are people that enjoy watching it for a variety of reasons, so why question them? Edit - I also posted this after finishing watching a WWE PPV. And proud of it.

PS2 version with guitar is £40 on Gameplay, i'd expect it to be £50.

I already own the PS2 version of GH1 but i'll be looking to buy this for the online options. If the co-op mode is online, that will seal the deal.
