Wow, there's a league in Leicester?? I stopped playing TGC a couple of years ago when the EX cards were still pretty new because I could never find anywhere to play... where is this Leicester league? And at 26, am I too old to start playing again? :-p

I liked DQ8, and managed to get through it. It was a struggle though, and many times through it I wished it was a bit easier, particularly the boss encounters were very stressful. I prefer my RPGs a little lighter though. FFX is ideal for me (until those bloody dark aeons, at least). -

2nd hand Wii + MotionPlus = £160 (To replace the Wii that got stolen in May) Mario Kart Wii Extra MotionPlus (because we're sure a remote got missed in the burglary.. just need to find it!) A couple of funky books.

The main one you can see mean Open, Open Up, Commence, Establish. Awesomely, each card features six word compounds that use the particular kanji, with the hiragana versions and an english meaning at the back. So you not only learn the kanji on the card, but extra vocab with it. These flash cards are fantastic. I reccommend them to anyone who wishes to learn Japanese. First time I bought Hiragana Times. It's pretty cool, I like the middle sections with the direct translation stuff so you can analyse the grammar and sentence structure. Flashcards to help me learn kanji. Cuz I'm a noob and 99% of my written Japanese is in Hiragana.

Its my new Canon D-1000. Possibly overkill using a DSLR on a Post your Purchases thread, but I love it. I take like 4-5 pics too, and try to choose the nicest ones for threads like this. Thats why I like other people to take pics too. Its not just showing people what you got, its being arty with it. Even a humble compact can make a pair of socks look good in the right light :-p

Which Social Group Did You Fit In At School?

I don't remember there being social groups at school exactly. There were the lads who liked to play football at lunchtime, I guess. And the girls who hung outside the schools smoking. Thats about it. I left school in '99, and I'd never even heard of goths/chavs/whatevers at school. We were all just... kids? Students? Never thought about it any more than that. Aside from the odd trouble kid, most people just got on and did stuff. -

I'm not merely Late to the Party, everyone has gone home already and I'm left to clean up the mess. [edit] Looking through this thread, I see most of it seems to be stock images of stuff. That's all well and good, but it's kind of boring seeing stuff like that. I'd encourage people to take their own photos of purchases, even if it's something mundane like a DVD. It makes the thread much more fun. Over at another forum I frequent, it's a rule that people take their own photos of stuff, and the thread is a pleasure to look at :-p
