  1. Wii shortages frustrating gamers

John Lewis Norwich hasnt sold a nun-chuck since we got 5 in last friday. The website says they're outta stock but if you got one local.. dont forget them! No wii-motes though.
  2. Favourite Southpark episode

My two favs.. "How to eat with your butt" - where kenny get into his suit front ways for his school picture so his arse is where his head is, cartman finds it hilarious and sends it to a milk company as a 'lost child'. Then two people with a condition where their butts are where their head are try and find kenny as they think it's their son. My other fave is one from the new series where cartman cant wait for a wii so he freezes himself.
  3. Woolworths UK pre-orders.

Just on the wiistock website and seems quite a few orders are being taken to the next stage, payments being taken. Some as late as 5 mins ago so im logged in and refreshing every so often. Woolies were saying at the weekend 'all orders will hopefully be fufilled by wednesday'. As a fallback they've also added 'hopefully before xmas'. Rather vague but i guess if nintendo stock is being held up on purpose or not.. not much ole' woolie and worth can do about it i guess.
  4. Woolworths UK pre-orders.

Was certinally mulling it over a month or two ago. I work in a department store and only just found out last week we arent allowed to buy them. Seems Argos & Woolies are the two main ones hit. Peope on AV forums expalining their emails of appology from retailers and their current situations. It's not looking good for some peeps who have been guaranteed for a while
  5. European Wii Preorders

Woolworths just screwed me and alot of people over. See woolworths thread near bottom of forum. They guaranteed launch week delivery too.
  6. Woolworths UK pre-orders.

Fair dooo's.! I always get over paranoid. "Chillax Dude" EDIT.. Message From Customer Service 06 Dec 2006 "Nintendo have only shipped part of the promised stock for Nintendo Wii to all retailers within the UK. Due to this, we have only received part of our allocation. We are led to believe by Nintendo that we will receive all stock in time for pre-Christmas delivery. Please accept our apologies for this delay." You arseholes woolies
  7. Woolworths UK pre-orders.

stocknetwork .co.uk Seems a useful website to keep track of goings on! Although doesnt look terribly terribly great regarding us folks stuck on 'back order or pre-release'. Maybe looking at 3-5 days rather than day one. Who Knooows Wish they'd reply within 42 hours at least.
  8. Demo Pods

Gamestation norwich had one going. Manned by employee who lemmie have a quick bash at bowling. impressive! my first attempt though, less than impressive.! Wanted my first go on wii to be on my own console but demo pod got the better of me.
  9. if you havn't pre-oredered

Seems like a good bet to me! Not had many enquiries on the shopfloor about it. Not sure about call centre enquiries. Just doesnt seem much hype regarding customers.. which is obvious really since it's john lewis up a hill off the highstreet. I saw Wii play, remotes and nun-chucks on the computer system aswell. No games as yet.
  10. if you havn't pre-oredered

Our John Lewis branch are getting 10 in tomorrow. Norwich being the smallest branch.. larger ones may get more but it's first come first serve friday morning.
  11. Nintendo Magazines

Both NGamer and NOM give it 90+. Im torn. IGN and the like have slated the game alot regarding the controls etc.. but i think i want this game. Ngamer and NOM reviews give me a bit of reassurance and didnt mention any 'control issues' as such but any other reviews focus around that point. W'ell see.
  12. Woolworths UK pre-orders.

My good friend 'tphi' who writes articles on here is going with woolworths too. He ordered 24 hours before me I think. I believe he made a phone call and again was told 'once the allocations have been filled we'll stop taking orders' so he was pretty much assured he was in.
  13. Woolworths UK pre-orders.

Hi all. My woolworths pre-order is on 'back order or pre-release' too. Maybe the 'ready for dispatch' orders are ones being sent to homes rather than collection from branches. Hope thats the case anyway. just reassuring myself e-mailed them but i will get a reply thursday if it's anything like the time it took a previous enquiry to be answered. I heard they were only taking orders for initial batch and once it's fufilled they'l stop orders.
