I think if we still had 11 men on the pitch we would have walked it the second half.
You're right. Then my guess might have been right, too. :p
Oh well Barca are going to win it anyway.... >_>'Right again.
I'm happy for Bayern (who would've thought) but there's also good news for the German Bundesliga. We might get 4 places for teams to reach the Champions League. Now we're at two (the first place directly qualifies, and the second needs to do extra qualification games).
-
Rafael is off. Man U down to 10 men.
Yeah, that was the decisive moment. To be fair, it was a stupid foul, and he knows it.
But! Bayern could have been down to 10 men, too, since Badstuber's foul was definitely red worthy.
What a goal Robben! Hang on now! This guy is a genius. He's so important for Bayern Munich. He shot many goals which turned games into their favor.
I don't know if we deserved to reach the semi-final.
In the first leg we played very well. The second leg was, as I already have mentioned, quite a bad match. At least in the first half. Then lady luck was on our side.
-
I'm a Bayern Munich fan.
This being said...
We're done for.
Manchester is showing us how to play it right. We're fucking up pretty much everything.
Our left defensive side is probably the worst I have ever seen and our offensive efforts (if you can call them efforts) are practically non-existent.
Lucky goal by Olic (I generously grant him the goal...but it was lucky, nonetheless) probably won't change much.
My guess for the result:
ManU 5 : 1 FC Bayern Munich

That guy who missed the red card is hilarious
Not many people will find this funny (maybe not even House lovers :p) but I think it is (only talking about the 1st second):
His face, voice and fake drumming is sooooo funny

All the better. I find that the less hyped you are for something, the better it will be.
That's why I won't ask anymore. All I wanted to know I know now thanks to you.
And now go to sleep. :p

So, all your talking about "level 1-2" and "world 4" etc. has got me thinking.
It's a relief to hear that you can choose which world you want do visit, but "level 1-2" sounds like "not so much exploration", it even has a slight connotation of linearity.
Are the "levels" big? Are there secrets that can be discovered? Sidequests?
I feel like dwarf. I ordered the game because it sounds cool, but I don't know shit about it
Oh yeah and:
Happy Birthday Sheikah.
-
That sounds bloody awesome. Thanks for your answer.
Those four weeks of wait can't come to an end soon enough.
Oh, another question I forgot to ask:
Are there still a lot of people playing this? Would be a shame if the online mode would be underpopulated.
-
Since I'm too lazy to look infos up, I'm going to ask here (Sheikah, I speak to you :p)
1. Do I need to be signed out of the Play Station network in order to play the game purely alone? In other words: If I'm signed in, is there no other way than "playing" this game online?
I read somewhere that if you're signed in you automatically play online.
2. This game is hard. Does it have even harder difficulties? If it does, are they available from the start?
3. Do the classes play differently?

You should try and get a copy of Demon's Souls, dwarf. I ended up getting it off eBay and found it to easily be one of the best games of the last 5 or so years. It's fantastic, and completely unlike any other game currently offered on the current systems.
Just ordered it. Won't arrive until next month but that's not a problem since I have other games (and my life :p) to spend my time on.
Looking so much forward to it.
Bought Gunstar Heroes off the PSN Store some days ago (only 3€ or 4€)
Played the singleplayer for about 10 minutes. Then I discovered the local multiplayer. Can't describe it. My mate and I had an incredibly large amount of fun
Haven't finished it though.
-
I can only speak for myself but I enjoyed myself from the very beginning. No 10-hour or 25-hour mark for me.
Same here.
The game might have the longest tutorial in gaming history but it was fun nonetheless.
If the individual linear areas of the first 25 hours hadn't been so long, then the game would have been a bit better.
Finished it some time ago. Took me 40 hours (I completed about 18 missions) to reach the end.
Fighting was awesome and I will definitely try to get the Platinum trophy (especially since I'm a sucker for grinding).
The story telling probably was the biggest flaw. I have to agree with the Zero Punctuation review. Reading about the story in the Datalog is not a good way to bring the action to the gamer. The story itself was good, though.

Loved the demo, too. I just can imagine how much fun this game will be.
I think I'm getting this tomorrow since I still have a voucher for GameStop, which means I will have to pay 30€ less
This and FFXIII will keep me occupied for the next weeks (and maybe getting the GoW 3 Platinum).
-
Congrats
This is my goal, too.
I have so much left to do. I'm at chapter 10 and:
I defeated Cid Raines. Easy going. Great to see that the Crystarium expanded even more and all characters are able to master all roles. Uhhh, gonna love the farming that's coming. =)

I always worry I'll waste all my good one time only get shit on making a crap weapon!
I think there's no need to worry because there are no one time only components (well, I hope so, I can't say for sure).
I upgraded the second weapon (Gladius) I found for Lighting to lvl 26 and transformed it, the result: A different weapon that's worse than the lvl 26 Gladius -.-'' Need to upgrade this weapon now. But hey: Maybe after transforming the new weapon (can't remember the name) I'll get something that's not worse than a previous lvl 26 one.
-
Holy mothereffing cow.
Despite some framerate issues that does look impressive.
I hope we'll get a demo somehow, if that's possible.
-
You can literally close your eyes, hold UP, and press X every so often and make considerable progress here.
Yeah, but that's the first 3 hours. Expect some more of this for about 2 or 3 hours. After that: pay attention to your HP and try to find tactics for some enemies (especially bosses).
Palumpolum (what a stupid name). Loved it when the game told me to avoid certain monsters that might not be beatable with only 2 characters. Fought them all
The only one I couldn't beat was the Wyvern.
-
Chapter 11 has been kicking my butt, even regular enemies are taking some beating. I checked the G-Faqs message boards and read that the difficulty does seem to spike dramatically at this point.
I've spent the last hour level grinding at a sweet spot and will continue to do so tomorrow so I can power my way through!
YES YES YES. Grinding. Powerful regular enemies. Amazing. Just what I was hoping for
Can't wait to get there (though some regular foes are giving me a hard time early - 7 hours - in the game).

Jim Carrey
I love him
Jim Carrey again

Anyone going to buy mega man 10 when it comes out? I'm tempted, partly because of the difficulty and the challenges in the game.
I will. Got Mega Man 9 on the Wii, but this one I'll get on the PS3.
Gonna be awesome. Easy-mode will be ignored.
Bought InFamous yesterday. Quite a cool game.

Crash Bandicoot: Warped
After reading the thread name I instantly remembered this level. In time trial I was able to set a time (I don't know the exact numbers. Maybe it was 15.48 seconds or 16.48) which I have never been able to beat. I played this level to death and I always reached the record that I have set but I just couldn't beat it.
Final Fantasy IX
Ozma, the little fucker. When I first played the game (the first time I've ever played a FF game) I got obliterated every single time I fought him. Even after leveling up quite a lot and using different tactical approaches. Come to think of it...I've never beaten that weird planet thingy.
Wild 9
Amazing. Never played further than the first level (I was a kid and the game wasn't mine). But as I said: Slamming the enemies on the ground: pure fun.
-
I've just finished the game.
Shelby died. Everyone else is happy and alive (except for the drug dealer from trial 4...he tried to shoot me down with a fucking shotgun. He had it coming.)
Yeah, Lauren's dead, too, but who cares. She doesn't kiss, so why should she live?
I'm gonna play this again in the course of next week. Should help me wasting my time until Bad Company 2 arrives.
I'll be an ass and let everyone die.

How ebarrassing
Had an appointment in a local fitness centre to do a check-up before I start exercising.
So the guy examined me in order to localise some problems (I have a hollow-back) and then I had to do an endurance test...I knew that I don't have much stamina since I have been doing almost no sports for 4 or 5 years.
My pulse went up to 145 (which was the limit the guy gave) during the 5 minutes that I spent on this thing (I don't know if it's called bicycle in English but it's pretty much the same). The resistance while cycling went up but still, 5 minutes? I feel ashamed.
I could have gone on, no problems at all. I didn't start to sweat and I didn't feel tired at all, but my pulse so high after only 5 minutes...
Anyway, I'll probably start the training programm next week.

Waist high walls... I don't understand this complaint. Zero Punctuation said the same thing. What do you expect? It's still a game, game mechanics are needed for it to function properly, and Insanity difficulty is impossible without constant cover. What is the alternative?
The walls itself aren't the problem. Only that they give away the enemy appearances. It always goes like this:
You walk through rooms, hacking things here, taking things there...then you see some waist high walls and you know: enemies.
There is no way foes can ambush or surprise you. So it is as Daft has said: very predictable.
The cover mechanics are a different aspect. They work very well.
An alternative would be different environments. You often walk through warehouses, docks and other space ships. They all have containers and little boxes which you can use as cover.
Let's take a different environment. A forest:
You walk through the forest. Every tree and every ledge can be used for cover. Since there are lots and lots of trees and other natural advances for you to use you don't know when enemies attack you (if you take into consideration that cover is an indication for enemy attacks). They could jump from trees, climb down little hills that might be in the forest. Some wild beasts could even dig themselves up and launch a surprise attack.
I expected the "help Jacob mission" to be like this when I landed on th planet. But no, there are more boxes and containers. It just feels artificial.
The AI worked fine for me oO Didn't have much trouble at all.

So, I've just finished the game.
The ending was partly "yeah", partly "meh". To be more precise: the last boss and music were "yeah", the story was "meh".
I don't know...something's missing.
Of course I have to agree with the fact that the game builds up to the final part of the trilogy but still... I don't feel like I've accomplished anything (except helping a random guy by killing little ape-like creatures in order to save his storage of food or rescuing half-dead Krogans).
The main story felt like it was way too short. I've been recruiting members non stop and it was kind of cool to do their loyalty missions because you could learn stories of their past (or present) and get to know their personality (which I loved) but as I said: the big mission wasn't as big as it has been described (or maybe I didn't get immersed that well).
Gameplaywise the game did some things better and some things not so much (what a statement).
The fighting was good, no doubt. Maybe some little things here and there (like the non-existent enemy ambushes, since enemy appearances were quite obviously displayed by the placement of boxes and containers that provide cover, or better flying curves of biotic skills) that could have been improved but overall the mechanics worked.
Here's a question:
Why was there no experience gain when I kill a foe? Really, I missed that.
And I also missed loot. With a better inventory loot would have been great.
Exploration on planets was fairly limited. Although I don't miss lifeless, mountanious and boring planets that can be traversed by a vehicle that manoeuvres like a rock it would have been nice to see an improved version of this (we'll see what the DLC with the new vehicle brings).
Scanning planets for materials sucked.
The amount of sidequests is huge. I guess...since I didn't do many. But I don't think that I missed out a lot of new gameplay elements.
For a guy like me (at least in my current position which is: I don't have that much time to play games) it is overwhelming. This is not a negative criticism. I like games that have a great amount of content.
The problem is that I wouldn't have done many more sidemissions even if I had more time. I just couldn't be arsed.
While all this sounds so very negative I'm not saying that I think ME2 is an incredibly bad game.
The experience as a whole was mediocre (at least for me). Maybe I was too hyped, or maybe I'm just someone who can never be satisfied with what he's got.
And yeah, I'm looking forward to Mass Effect 3.

Just before I wanted to start the Suicide Mission I lost Tali's loyalty -.-
Maybe I'll try to get her loyalty back and do some sidequests (I need credits. Some upgrades are soooo expensive...I might need about 400.000...maybe more). And then the scanning...
To be honest: I don't want to do the stuff and get right into the Suicide Mission because I just want to finish the goddamn game. This is not as good a game as I thought it would be. From the end of the prologue on I've been extremely disappointed. The only good thing about the game (aside from the prologue) has been:
playing as Joker while Collectors are attacking the Normandy. It's kind of weird that I think this was good because you didn't really do anything except walk a brittle bone diseased guy (who I think is the greatest character in ME 1 and 2) and see how you're crew members are kidnapped.
I wanted to do 1000/1000 on both MEs but ME2 has actually blasted my love for the games through a mass relay into a distant star cluster with no hope of getting it back in the near future.
