£4 odd each. Although £5 is the lowest you can add to your 'wallet', so it'll basically cost you £10 for both.
Hm, well maybe I'll get them in a month or two.

After watching the video I can see me playing the game online. The thing is: I don't have the multiplayer packages. How much are they?

How do I find treasures? Do I need a shovel or something? I'm sure I found the right spot.
Well, for the first treasure:
It's under a pile of stones. When you stand in front of it you just need to press triangle (or Y if you play the game on the Xbox) I can't help you with others because I can't be arsed to be a treasure hunter. Especially since I have about 3000$ .

Do you mean that in a single hand (e.g. say you had a pair of Aces) you have to win 2,000 in just that one deal? If so, that sounds really hard.
It isn't that hard. I did this in the second area of the game (don't know whether posting the name is spoiling). I can't remember the buy in but I remember that every player started with 500 chips. We were five which means a total of 2500. One com was able to get about 1300 chips in the first hand and I finished off the others in the second (yeah, a bit lucky that it went this fast). So in the heads-up we both had almost the same amount of chips. Then I played (and cheated) for so long until my opponent had a hand he was willing go all in for and until I had a hand that I was sure I would win. Didn't take long and then the pot went up to 2000.
I've played poker a bit outside of this game but not massively. The computer is very easy to read. If you don't take too many risks you will have no problems.

How do you play for property? ie for 200 dollars. I'm good at that game and got the trophy for not losing any die, and it's quite fun.
Well, the stranger mission requires that you play liar's dice at Thieves Landing in order to get the property the stranger wants to have. And the Ante for playing in this particular game of Liar's Dice is 200$.
-
I will be won't be on until tomorrow around 8.
Hm, my girl's coming over tonight but maybe I'll find the time to play.
In the course of a stranger mission I've done this for the last 30 minutes:
I need to play liars dice at Thieve's Landing. Ante is 200$ because we play for some property. I won the first time but I can play more. There are two other guys liar's-dicing with me, and since I win everytime I come out with 400$ profit

Go Team and The Quick and Everyone Else - Trophies
1. Gather a posse of 2 people in free roam. You and a partner.2a. For "Go Team", go to the gang wars post in Armadillo. Do not start it from the back button.
2b. For "The Quick and Everyone Else", go to the free for all post in Armadillo. Do not start it from the back button.
3. Start the game by both pressing Y as the same time and you should be the only people in the lobby.
Vote to kick anyone else who joins.
4. Start the match immediately using the D Pad.
5. Let the person who is going for the achievement win the duel.
6. After the duel, the other player should hit the back button and exit multi-player
7. The remaining wins the match. Send invite to have the other person come back in the game. NOTE: (If someone else comes in the game, make sure you vote to kick right away. Otherwise you may need to do the real fight or start over.)
8. Do this 3 time total for The Quick and Everyone Else and 4 time for Go Team.
I did this twice last night and only had two people join. We were able to vote kick them.
Enjoy!!
So, anyone here who's willing to try this out with me? :p (PS3)

Oh please let it be true!
That'd be awesome.
I would've tried to get them off ebay at the end of the year but not if an HD Collection gets confirmed. *crosses fingers*

Went online yesterday, tried finding my mate in the free-roaming. After 1/2 hour search he happened to be in a different free-roam.
Couldn't you invite him? Oo Well, I never tried, but it would be kind of stupid if it wasn't possible to do so.
Red Dead Redemption - Rockstar Social Club
This is quite cool. Shows every stat and even has a 100% checklist.

@Sheikah: Do you play this on the PS3?
Just had a look at some of the online trophies...
Go Team! - Be on the winning team for four consecutive victories in any team based game in public matches.
The Quick and Everyone Else... - Be the top scoring player in any three consecutive FFA games in public matches.
These are going to be frustrating.
-
I only have one treasure map, too. You're right, ViPeR, the maps seem to be veeeeery vague. Maybe I'll stumble upon the treasure by coincidence.
I think the online is great. Yeah, there are some issues here and there (e.g. I mostly get into Free Roam sessions where I'm the only player), but when you have some people with you it's fun.
@Cookyman: Mind if I add you?
Edit: Just found out that you are able to listen to your own music with the PS3 version. Makes poker much more enjoyable

Amazing thing happened just now:
I rode aimlessly on a street and another guy on a horse advances to me. He stopped, dismounted, went to the nearest cactus and took a leak.
After he had finished, I finished him.
Love those random events.
There's always something going on. A thief running away from the crime scene and you have to stop him, someone getting shot, someone trying to steal your horse. The world is so lively it's incredible.
But there's something "bad" about this: I only have done a few story missions (maybe 7?) because everything else is distracting me.
I just googled and tried to find out whether there was a casino in Red Dead Redemption, but it seems that there isn't.
Well well, you can't have everything, can you? :p
-
I'm loving it - any PS3 owners wanna try some online later tonight?
Mind if I add you? Need more guys who play the game on the PS3 :p
Probably won't play this game today since the weather is fucking ace.
The online is really great. I have only played one or two matches in competitive mode. Free roam is fun as hell. Just playing with a bunch of people and conquering gang hideouts is more satisfying than most of what I've played this year.

Started playing when i got back at 10am from getting this and played it till 3pm. My god it flew by real fast.
Yeah, it's so much fun and as you said: time flies by so fast.
I haven't even done many story missions. One bounty hunt, some stranger missions, a bit of hunting (well, killed about 10 animals
) are on the "finished list".
Just gonna ask again because I'm a persistent son of a bitch.
Anyone who's playing this on the PS3 raise your hand, I'll add you.
I'll be up for some action the whole evening (maybe :p).

What's with the special edition? Only the golden guns download? Meh.
I have the normal edition and got a pre-order bonus from Amazon which let's me use the Golden Guns. Don't know anything about the special edition though...
There seem to be not many here who play the game?
-
Just had a round of poker and won, of course. Shame that the blinds don't raise.
This game, its setting and atmosphere suck you right in. Only done a few missions, but it's one hell of a game already.
-
This arrived just now.
Those who haven't added me: feel free to do so.
I have this game on the PS3.

Where do I start?
I have this:
LCD TV, Onkyo 507 AV Receiver, PS2, Wii.
I want this:
LCD TV shows: PS2 (or Wii respectively).
I have a problem:
The receiver is connected to the TV via HMDI, but when connecting my PS2 (or Wii) with an RGB cable I won't get a picture when choosing HDMI-Out (I hope you know what I mean).
So I need to use an RGB cable to connect my TV with my receiver and the PS2 (Wii, blah) need to be connected to the receiver as well. So far so good.
Now I want to change the RGB cables with component cables (for better sound and picture). That means: I need a component cable to connect my TV with the receiver. The problem:
This (sorry, German only) is what I can find. A YUV cable. Is it the same as a component cable? And will I be able to use this in order to get a clear picture and sound.
Another thing I wanna ask:
The TV is connected to the receiver via an optical audio cable. When I connect my PS2 (Wii >.>) in the way I described, will this get me surround sound?
Or is this all bollocks and I can connect the PS2 or Wii directly with the TV and the sound is coming from the receiver and optical cable?

Need to know who my posse homies are!
*raises hand*
Can't wait.
Canceled my Split/Second pre-order so my focus will be on RDR.
I'm so going for 100%.
-
Pre-ordered it for 40€
Now I need a Wii Component cable but they're so expensive
-
So, I just bought original copies of Viewtiful Joe 1 and 2 for a total of 20€ and now I'm looking for a good and cheap component cable. Any recommendations?
-
I need a new TV. My old one is dead, can't be repaired. I hope I'll get the money back (500€).
My grandma will probably help me out, too, which means I can spend a bit more...
I set my sights on those two babies:
Samsung UE 40 B 6000 (sorry it's only in German).
Good or not?
Edit: Nevermind, got a replacement TV which is a newer model than my old one.
-
Not really, since I'm currently not employed and in about 5 months I'll hopefully be a student, which will leave me with less money.
So actually, I don't want to spend some of my saved money without getting something in return.
-
Here's something for you:
I bought the UK-Version (I think it is the UK-Version...well, it's the PEGI-Version) of Borderlands which is incompatible with German DLC. I already paid money for Zombie Island to find that out.
Amazon is offering PSN dards from Austria.
If I create an Austria-account, use one of the PSN cards to download DLC for Borderlands (which should be the uncut version), will this work?

Maybe. If I'm online and in the mood, I'll scream.
Oh, and I want to apologize that I've gone offline so quickly last time. Something quite urgent came up and I had to go. Please don't beat me up.
