  1. Britains Got Talent Live Semi Finals

I genuinely don't understand this show. They put through people with absolutely no talent whatsoever, which just makes it a complete joke and means half the time it comes across as no better than a school talent show. Though, maybe that's just me.
  2. Friendship.

I have relatively few incredibly close friends. After 2 years in Sheffield, I'd say there's only two people I know for sure I'll be in touch with throughout my life. Good friend wise, I haven't even got that many. I'm far too picky. I cant be doing with wasting my time with people I just "get on" with. I want to know people I feel I have an actual connection with, something that's worth my time and input. Basically, when I actually make the effort to make a friend, I do it for life. Otherwise, I just don't see the point. It takes me a long time to gain an emotional attachment, so if there's nothing really there, I'm just incredibly fickle. That connection you have with people is just incredible. I've been friends with Han for over 8 years now. In the past two years that I've been in Sheffield and she's been in Cambridge, I've only ever seen her once or twice during term times, and then holidays. Yet, we instantly have that connection, even if it's been 6 months. That connection where you finish each other's sentences, somehow manage to think to text each other at exactly the same time, or where a quick glance says a thousand words.

  5. Travelling you have done

I've been to Germany, France, Austria, The Netherlands, Belgium and Ibiza. Germany is by far my favourite. Berlin is just incredible, especially the eastern part of the city. From the the hidden art galleries to the downright filthy night life. It's just incredible.
  6. Forum User Photos

Looking good God, I wish I had your motivation. I've been going down for the past couple of weeks and in an attempt to not look quite so stick thin like, but am completely ready to give in.
  7. Lady Gaga

They're extra lyrics she's going to use when she performs the song live.
  8. Ke$ha

I saw sense and decided she required her own thread. So many simply disregard the fact she's talented, which is such a shame. Her albums, especially Cannibal, are brilliant slices of heavy beats and trashy pop. She blow's Perry, Britney (currently) and other peers out the water. I just adore her attitude. Like she say's in Sleazy, you just "can't comprehend the immensity of the fuck" she's not giving.
  9. Adverts that blow: 2011 Edition

Genuinely love this. My kind of woman.
  10. Lady Gaga

She's stated she wants 9 singles off the album. They obviously won't all get video's, but it's blatant she's going to bleed the album dry. I'd love to see Schibe and Government Hooker as singles, but I doubt radio would embrace them, especially in the states. She's sold almost 100,000 albums on the first day of sales in the UK, a terrifying amount. There's talk of her passing a million sales during the first week in the US, but I can't see it happening. Gaga may be huge, but she still doesn't have the broad appeal that Taylor Swift has on American radio which lead to such sales. Then again, I'll probably be eating my words come next week. Oh, and Marry the Night will be absolutely massive. No question.
  11. Lady Gaga

Marry the Night sounds like a blatant single choice to me. It was almost the lead single, before the label changed their mind. Oh, and have you tried the Mugler Scheiße Mix? It's been around for months and months. Even though Government Hooker and Scheiße are completely fantastic, the last minute and a half of Marry the Night is the most perfect part of the album. Oh, and I originally heard the "I wish that I could dance on a single prayer" line in Scheiße as "I wish I could dance on a single bed". I much prefer the latter.
  12. That front page is incredible. It only happens ocassionally, but when the media does something right, it does it so well.
  13. Donating Blood and Homosexuality

It's just common sense. How many of your heterosexual friends regally get tested for HIV? I'm only guessing here, but I'd say not many. The majority of my friends actively engaging on gay sex get tested every 6 months. Not wanting to generalise, but it really is blatant that gays are more likely to get themselves tested. But again, Italy is doing it right. Looking at the safety of the sex, rather than the act itself. No discrimination, and it's had positive effects.
  14. Donating Blood and Homosexuality

In 1998/1999, 24 people in Italy were infected with HIV through blood donations. The ban was lifted in 2001, and the number has been decreasing ever since, being only 4 in 2004. They now focus on the safety of sexual practice, rather than the actual act itself. Something this county should look into.
  15. Donating Blood and Homosexuality

The prostitute example? Really? You can't compare the two whatsoever. If you're throwing all these examples at me, then surely you see my point? Anyone can catch HIV. So why only allow straight people to donate. The blanket system is out-dated. If I were able to prove a clean bill of health, why should that not allow me to donate blood in order to save a life? All those examples contain choices. My being gay isn't a choice. Why should I be banned from something that may save a life simply because I was born gay so have been assigned to a higher risk group? I'm sorry. I just detest the fact I practice safe sex, and am in a long-term relationship, and am still told I shouldn't give blood. Surely people can see why it's so frustrating?
  16. Donating Blood and Homosexuality

So a straight man that might be utterly promiscuous can give blood, but as a gay man who is in a long-term relationship and practices safe-sex, I can't? Makes sense. I outright refuse to not donate blood, if I get a leaflet through the door telling me the area has shortages.
  17. Donating Blood and Homosexuality

And? The blood is tested. Why should I be told I can't give blood simply because statistically, my sexual orientation is more likely to be promiscuous Try being a gay, and being told you can't give blood even though you take all the necessary precautions. Then tell me it's not offensive. A blanket ban is ridiculous.
  18. Beyoncé

Kelly Rowland is amazing. I love how she manages to move between sounds and yet sounds completely comfortable in anything she does. It's nice to see Motivation finally giving her a bit of success in America. She's also blatantly the face of 'faceless' euro-dance.
  19. Donating Blood and Homosexuality

I'm gay and have given blood twice now. I think it's pathetic that we're supposedly banned from doing so. I don't care if HIV is more prevalent among gays, they do tests on the blood so this shouldn't even come into it. It only further promotes the idea that HIV is simply a gay disease. Oh, and the new rule that states we can give blood if we haven't had sex for 10 years? Equally pathetic. It's offensive that they presume because I'm gay, I have less morals. I've been in a relationship for a year and a half now, I don't sleep around, I've never touched drugs, but I'm told I'm not good enough.
  20. Beyoncé

It's literally terrible. Even her name hasn't managed to lift it into the charts, which I'm pleased about. Whoever told her it was a decent single choice needs firing.
  21. Lady Gaga

Perez wasn't actually bashing her though. He said it as a compliment. I even thought it before reading what he said. Only in a couple of parts, but the beat especially. Every song has a counterpart, just because people say so it doesn't mean they're trashing the artist. Born This Way does sound like Express yourself, Judas does sound like a Bad Romance knock off because it was obviously meant to etc. Fashion of His Love would definitely fit on an early Madonna album, which I love. It's a refreshing change from the rest of Born this Way. It's definitely a mix of Dance with Somebody and Express Yourself. Glad it wasn't on the normal edition though, the production is just too different.
  22. Lady Gaga

The Deluxe contains Black Jesus Amen Fashion and Fashion of His Love. Oh, and the remixes aren't all that bad.
  23. Björk

Not really a fan, but I did absolutely adore this.
  24. Lady Gaga

I feel like 'Judas' is a bridge in between the Fame/Monster era and the Born this Way Era. There's nothing else that sounds stereotypically Gaga on the album. It's all very 80's power ballad crossed with industrial Eastern European pop. I'm dying to get hold of Black Jesus/Amen Fashion and Fashion of His Love.
  25. Lady Gaga

PM's sent God, I am head over heels for Government Hooker and Scheiße. The latter of which may be purely for my love of the German language, but still. You & I is the Speechless of the album. As in, it just seems utterly different to the rest of the album. It's far more american, reminds me a little of Shania Twain's 'Come On Over' album.
