  1. General Movie Thread

I saw I Give It A Year yesterday and it was completely perfect. Such a brilliant British comedy....though Anna Faris is beginning to look a little rough.
  2. Rihanna

I really didn't consider myself a fan particularly, until Loud was released. I'm just in love with the album. It's just completely, unashamedly pop. So many colours. I'm in love.
  3. Forum User Photos

Haven't posted here in a while! I'm turning 21 tomorrow, so I figured I'd post what remains of my youth. Just a couple of vaguely recent nights. Any night in I have usually ends up with face painting, even though I fail when it comes to artistic talent. Anything I draw looks like a cat having a stroke.
  4. The Hobbit

I saw the trailer at the cinema yesterday, and genuinely thought it (the movie in general) looked awful.
  5. How many sugars...

2 and a half sugars, and only a dash of milk. Overly milky tea is the worst thing.
  6. It's raining pretty heavy where I live.

Sheffield was awful earlier. It's so strange that it's so hot, and yet it was hailing.
  7. A new song for the US album. But apart from this, I'm still obsessed with Radioactive. It's just so absolutely perfect. The "ready to be let down, now I'm heading for a meltdown" is stunning.
  8. Lana Del Ray

She is flawless. I need the complete video mix in HQ so it can go on my iPod immediately.
  9. I'm loving both Sam Sparro's and Cheryl's too. I've not enjoyed or bothered with Cheryl's previous album, but I'm enjoying some from this one. Ghetto Baby (Lana Del Rey is incredible), Screw You, Sexy Den a Mutha, Under The Sun and Call My Name are really enjoyable. She's so flawless.
  10. Funny Stuff Thread

Tumblr is amazing for random stuff like this.
  11. bad stuff thread.

This thread is so lovely. In the way that people are so supportive, not that I enjoy other peoples problems. I worded that so wrong. I saw him today. Just for a second. He walked past my window at the same time he always does to go to work, turned and waved up at my window. He's ignoring my texts, which I know is for the best because otherwise I'll just keep clinging on to the hope that there's still something there. The idea that you can go from being closer to someone than you have ever been in your entire life for two and a half years, to a mere wave from the street within days is the hardest thing to come to terms with.
  12. bad stuff thread.

I love that post so much. -- It's that feeling that you honestly just don't know how you're ever going to trust someone enough to let them that close to you again. If someone can tell you they love you, only to let you go just like that, then how can you ever feel secure in a relationship? I constantly hear of people saying how they feel 'numb' when going through a break up. Fucking hell, I'm beyond jealous of them. I'd give anything to feel like that. I'm sorry, I feel like this is the most dramatic post and yet in the big picture, a 2 and a half year relationship really isn't huge. It's just to me at least, it was everything.
  13. bad stuff thread.

I genuinely feel bad moaning about my mess of a situation, when yours is obviously worse. I hope you're okay! It was such a mess of a relationship. It came down to the fact that I was still head over heels in love with him, and he just no longer was. He'd kept me hanging on for the past 6 weeks as a 'break', only to then tell me I was no longer wanted. I just feel genuinely broken, however dramatic that sounds. I just can't think of any other way to describe it.

Watched I Spit On Your Grave (remake) last night. It was horrific. I've never watched something where I've turned away more than watched the actual film.
  15. bad stuff thread.

Eugh. My boyfriend of two and half years and I broke up last night, so consequently I am a complete emotional mess. I swear when one thing goes wrong in life, suddenly everything turns to shit.
  16. She was singing, it's just her backing track was blatantly turned up to a point where you could only hear her on occasion. But, she danced hard. Had she stood on the spot and mimed, I'd have an issue. She put on a performance. I respect that she blatantly knows her strong points, and works them. Jessie J, I've never quite understood. She obviously has a fantastic voice, but I can't help but feel she's a terrible singer. She manages to ruin a song during a live performance sometimes, purely because she seems to find it impossible to stick to the melody. Christina Aguilera is guilty of this sometimes, but Jessie J takes it to a whole another level.
  17. Eurovision 2012

Regarding voting, this comment I read on the BBC really summed it up for me. Maybe ignoring the "best music nation on the planet" part to an extent, but we're decent. We produce some huge stars, and yet we send shit every time. It's such a crime that the woman in charge (Katie Taylor) at the BBC vetoed Katie Melua's The Flood in 2009, and rejected Hurts a year ago. Pixie Lott was interested this year too, but was apparently vetoed also. I'm not for a minute saying she's brilliant, but she's far more relevant to the EU market than The Hump is.
  18. Bitch knows how to put on a performance. She may not have a Whitney style voice, but there's no denying she's a true pop-tart. Plus, that jump. I just wish the majority of her material was as enjoyable as her lead singles.
  19. Eurovision 2012

Albania was literally the worst thing to ever grace my ears. How they did relatively well I do not know. I enjoyed the slutty Greek woman's performance too.
  20. Eurovision 2012

The German guy was so cute. Loved Sweden's entry!

The best horror series. I loved the fourth. Yes, it was lacking genuine scares. But that's never been Screams main focus. Plus, the third might be technically the worst of the bunch. But it has that brilliant fight scene in the finale ("TAKE SOME FUCKING RESPONSIBILITY") and of course, those bangs.
