  1. Rage...Building

Sorry, but, I don't know any parent who does not provide food for their children. I apologise if you are an exception but I seriously don't think people at that age were buying their own food. And school trips? How often are they? Like once every 4-5 months? Bus fare? I remember it being no more than 40p as a student at school then 6th form. I know that a lot of poorer people had that sort of free anyway. Saying that though, I used to walk it and get the metro. A few pens don't cost much, and it's not much for a pad of A4. All this definitely does not require weekly £30s. This is the reason why people did fine when EMA wasn't in effect. In fact, given that I was only ever given some money for food, I did perfectly well with no other money. It's a ridiculous waste of taxpayers money, as people should want to be educated to better themselves, not to get by easily while pocketing money. Lmao, are you off your rocker? My parents have to give me money? If you're talking about child benefits then poorer people get that too. So why do my parents have to pay me additional money for doing absolute **** all? You don't have talk a lot of nonsense. Then you're a fool for not knowing how to use the library, or for getting hold of such expensive books for something as frivolous as an A-level. Or, for needing a £200 book to get you an A grade A-level. I understand, I've got my A levels. I understand that I wasn't getting paid £30 - I went into my sixth form, learned, went home, food was in house, went to sleep. Woke up next day, went back (via metro). If you minus food costs in my house since I think most parents would pay for that, my living costs can't have been much more than a fiver a week at that stage. But I had a job, which I used to spend on things I wanted, not to maintain myself at sixth form. Then don't go using taxpayer's money to get you through something which quite blatantly you weren't requiring or gaining throughout school. A lot of people go straight from school to sixth form, often in their same school. The change is negligible, bar getting hold of a suit.
  2. Post Your Purchases

Good buy. Just the 3-in-1 yeh? I got mine from totalGBA, fantastic since it's a GBA game player, rumble pak and opera RAM expansion pack in 1.
  3. Rage...Building

QFT. Those idiots think no one in the world exists except them. A similar gripe of mine is those walking in the direction against you that make no effort to avoid you, thus you have to put in all the effort of moving aside. That happens in Manchester City Center a lot. EMA is a classic example of favouritism. My parents earn enough so I don't get any yet my parents don't give me money besides dinner money, definitely nothing like £30 a week. When you consider GCSE and A-level books you are provided with most of them, if you do need to buy them they certainly won't come anywhere near to the amount that adds up from all those £30s. A lot of people getting EMA waste it on absolute trash and they shouldn't have to be paid to be educated. If they don't want to get a better job then **** them, they shouldn't have to be encouraged to better themselves.
  4. Next Wii game you are getting

Which was no bad thing, what a load of crap that game was looking back.
  5. Eye of Judgement

I just bought it last night. I have no idea if I'll like it, so maybe it was a bit of a silly gamble buying a few boosters and a starter pack. You can get it for £35 inc. delivery. Go to gameplay, put Eye of Judgement into your basket, go to the checkout and enter dt7aquwhf to get £5 off. Then I went to Play.com where they are selling the booster packs for 1.99 and the starter packs for quite cheap at 3.99 (normally 7-8 quid?). It's all free delivery so meh... I did like games like Tetra Master with FFIX (and FFXI), which this reminds me of with the 3x3 grid. But as for card games I don't mind them too much, so maybe I'll like it. I'll get the PS Eye anyway.
  6. One Piece: Unlimited Cruise

I think everyone knows that Luffy's Japanese voice can never be beaten or even come close to.
  7. Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts

BT for me seemed to be lacking the magic of the first...hard to explain. The music and everything in BK, as well as the freshness (and let's not forget the amazing levels) all put it a notch above the rest for me. BT also seemed to be filled out with less than fun minigames and lengthy plot cutscenes. It was still really good but I think the levels just weren't as memorable and fun to play as the first. Also Banjo's balls seemed to have dropped in BT when he jumps... a dire shame from the high pitched guy we loved in BK!
  8. Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts

I bought a gameshark especially for Banjo Kazooie. That is seriously one of the best games ever. I activated a fly anywhere cheat to fly in the ice cavern, basically go through the non-existant ceiling graphics and get the ice key. Then there was another code that made banjo spin to the middle of the screen - which you activated when Banjo showed you the moving photo of climbing that cliff to get the egg (which appeared in your inventory despite it being just a movie he showed you) :P Then somehow the other eggs popped up too and I got them. A year or two later the official Nintendo mag posted sandcastle codes you could enter to make them appear...saving people the effort of doing what I went through. :p BK3 may tempt me to buy an Xbox, but unfortunately I don't think it will be anywhere near the magic of BK1...which Banjo Tooie wasn't either really (although good) .
  9. Getting a PS3 soon...

My girlfriend was so lucky- we went to GAME a week before Christmas in Manchester and they had 1 left, with none left in any of the other shops. A brand new 60GB... fortunately I got mine a while back though.
  10. Sexual Intercourse.

It's not always the quantities, more the types.

What did they do to me? Nothing, it's not like I'm eating them. @Mundi bravo to people if they have the time to make stories about forumers- a lot of us wouldn't dream of having such free time. And really, you missed my point about people killing for beliefs. The point is, she's not that bad. It has nothing to do with money. And the second point to make from that...is that people can have beliefs that strong. Peace out.

Excluding my Salisbury steak? I wouldn't dare.

You do realise chickens...even the free range ones (to gain that seal they're not as 'free' as you think)...peck their bloody eyes out and whatnot? Not to say that I don't eat meat myself, before anyone calls me a hypocrite. But I can see what she believes in and do feel guilty, since I do know it's not just some food on the plate (and I do try not eat meat where possible). Oh well off to bed for real this time, most people here are hardcore in their beliefs so I feel the topic repeating itself. Nights.

Uh...but they feel pain? Either way, I didn't notice any human spastic pies in Tesco today...you know, the ones that aren't self-aware. :awesome:

There lies the problem. We can't complain about forcing beliefs when we're basically forcing an animal down our throat. Well, you could complain, but it wouldn't count for much. I don't think anyone would argue that the slave trade was wrong...and vegans sort of see it the same with animals but worse, because of the conditions. In fairness, Islam or Christianity are religions with no proof of a God or heaven whatsoever, and more proof to say they're made up. I would feel annoyed if someone tried to force a religion on me. Animal cruelty though is pretty much a given and leaves her, and hopefully many others, with something much stronger to believe in preventing. =/

Seeing as I'm still up... If she had been using caps to get attention then she would be a drama queen, not because people were winding her up and it was a matter that she feels strongly on. Your quotes funnily enough miss out the digs here and there and the attempts to basically call veganism 'wrong'. When the prophet Muhammed is insulted, some people actually go out to kill people in real life. Believe it or not, some people feel that strongly about things. It's not the same as simply believing something with veganism, because the way they see it the animals don't have a choice and people simply don't care about the conditions etc. To them it is as clear cut as the slave trade. You of course want to frame her as a bad person. Of course, she went way over the top. But she is definitely no bad person, despite how angry she got after practically everyone turned on her, and really it's a shame that some people continued to goad her after she got that mad. I never bother to take notice of people who try strengthen another person's post to make it 'right'. Numbers mean nothing.

If you say so...either way I've got more interesting things to right now. Toodles.
  18. Notable banned members?

I just had a look at the topic, she wasn't posting in caps from the beginning, and to be honest people were being blindly ignorant and telling her how veganism was wrong and that she was malnourished. Astounding ignorance and grouping up led her to get angry with you guys. Compared to some of the replies in this topic, she can't be considered an idiot. Come on, a moderator mocking her when she wanted help by saying "I'm a butcher", therefore not being able to do anything. That's really not on. In that waffle you stated she wouldn't do it, so it was never a threat, really just a daft remark that was only really an insult (if a strong one). *sigh* she wasn't banned.

You rip them all apart hotshot? Behind your sturdy monitor with a grimmace of steel?
  20. Notable banned members?

Was it really a bomb threat? Think about it. I'll go and hand myself into the police next time I mutter 'I'll kill him' after my little brother borrows some of my games, since obviously what people say is always what they mean, and inevitably carry out.
  21. Notable banned members?

She must have deserved to get out of here since she requested to be removed. This is the kind of attitude I'm talking about. "Idiotic drama queen" - bollocks. You don't know my girlfriend, but her beliefs were literally ripped apart. Of course she doesn't think you are vegan, but that doesn't mean you go taking the mick out of what she feels strongly about. If someone on here said they were a Muslim and believed strongly that Mohammed was the prophet of God, like hell someone would go and rip their beliefs apart. But it seems that belief in something much more realistic, yet with the same passion, is something completely open for a slamming. Some of the members on here...
  22. Notable banned members?

That's how bad it is. They don't even have to try, it's an innate quality.

I'm a fan of equal treatment too, which is why it's a shame that, as Villain's post also seems to suggest, people of this forum seem to act differently to women. With some people it's "omg woman and Nintendo in 1 place!1!", then with others there seems to be a nasty attitude and group bullying. One person was banned shortly after her signing up, and some of the replies in this topic have hallmarks of jumping the old bandwagon and ignorance. She asked to be deleted from the forum because some people were so nasty and persistant, and it's a damn shame since quite a few people did like her. A lot of people here are very nice, but like many forums there are some people who go out of there way to spill verbal diarrhoea.
  24. Notable banned members?

Why are you all being assholes out of interest? Is it in your nature to call someone a terrorist because they reacted to an obvious snide remark? I don't quite know why someone is 'sorry' for me that I actually have a partner...which is more than can be said for probably 80% of this userbase. I mean, it's a Nintendo forum for Christ's sake where most of the people seem to be young adults. =/ Just a tip guys, when a woman does actually sign up to here, try not to be an asshole. In fact, don't purposely be an asshole to women in real life either. Nothing good comes of it, most of all if you don't want to spend the rest of your life rubbing into a towel you'll do well to see sense.
  25. Should Gym Be Optional in high school?

It won't because after they're 16 they'll just become fatter than whatever PE has taken off, thus reiterating what I've said. PE is a load of bollocks.
