I need a new laptop cos mine fried its fan randomly last year and I have been ooerwting exclusively from my ohone since but a computer would be really smart and wise in order to get my life back on track etc. I am not yet buying one.

Are you guys Switching? I'm on PS4 but given the accounts and crossplay enabled I presume there may be ways to party even cross platform? Have downloaded on Switch as well anyway tho 😅 Really loving it. Usually BRs frustrate me but something about the big battle action in this makes it a bit less so. I can see more depth than I'm actually percieving/looking at at the moment but that's just a bit of more to look forward to. Mostly just been doing squads mode with crossplay on so far; my MMR or the players are definitely balancing out and it isn't the cake it felt like before; but I'm enjoyijng it! Have annoyingly had a couple times where teammates were either stupid or trolling and blasting me but also had a few cool squads and wins. Endgame small circle stuff can be very fun.

tbh for the all-stars angle that would actually be far slicker! maybe less rewarding for some though -.-

Ah yeah I can take that actually - though I wasn't actually meaning to imply that extreme(again my focus was more just on sm64ds +30stars extra content anf characters/gameplay options - poss even put in BOTH* versions just utilising same assets?) for me. It would be curious though even with that - what if they DID standardise the assets and looks and slickened them together to a similar style(there was still between title differences even within all stars snes)?? Like...imagine a physics* perfect like gameplay the same SM64 but looking as beautiful as Galaxy? Man. THAT on a limited run might get me interested - just for novelty tho really; I still prefer gameplay over graphics if given the choice but Galaxy did certainly feel pretty when I played it. *i realise there are no doubt physics differences between the DS and 64 versions that could be used to wedge this argument; but I hope the idea came across

Out of interest are there any folks here with an interest in Asimov? I need to read much more but I low-key fell in love with him a few years back after hearing/reading some quotes of his and then read about him a bit more. The Complete Robot is a fantastic collection of Short Stories made imo even more remarkable to read now as we can contrast this world to the way it was back then when he wrote the stories - we've seen the impact of even just the idea of the Three Laws of Robotics alone. Srs legend of a mind. Also fanboyed over Sagan lol.

NO! I didn't watch that film(read books well before) and I heard it was bad and they did weird things ans urrggghhh. Read the books tho! Honestly super good! THEN watch(after you've read all three) the recent BBC/US series collboaration starring the immensely amazing Daphne Keen. Who reads the audiobooks(i dont do audiobooks)? I can tell you many things about the series - including its ACCURATE misnaming in foreign territories as 'The Golden Compass' (it isnt actually to do with the navigational compass looking object featured in the series). Some of its symbology and layers convinces me that Pullman studied some very deep and esoteric things in his time. Second to that for anyone who HAS read HDM - I read La Belle Sauvage eaelier this year(first in a trilogy of prequels) and was sufficiently if not even more impressed. Slightly different ideas and tones but some really fucking great shit. Weird part of it is also basically a basic counterintelligence manual lol. Not read the newer one yet tho.

Really?? I bought it like a few months ago for....well I can't remember what was off. Maybe it was in the Summer Sale? I didn't get the DLC at the time(and tbh I haven't fully finished the Game but I probs slowly will over time before I touch DLC just cos its Spidey and Lore but I can see how lesser fans tire of it). I was sure I saw something else related to cut on store quite recently but I imagine it would have been DLC - strange if they wouldn't cut base with DLC again tho.

Which other forums do you frequent? Tho on point I do think there is an aspect of falling back to these areas tho - especially amongst out generations. As you say the pace is different to the immediacy of social media and that pace is basically commericialised and controlled - and people are getting fed up with that. Imagine we ran this whole place on facebook for example. With one small tiby click of a button afew things going wrong etcetc we are a platform ON a platform somebody who knows fuck all about us could shut us down in and instant - no fallback. I think with time 'facebook'* will decay and maybe forums will jump back into the mix again too but there's something fundamental in the way that forums exist(even tho hosted and it can all go down) in the way even of internet archive machines or even the site admins/backups etc that it can continue to survive in a way we all know it cannot neccessarily do so on other platforms. *not zuckerberg. nor the corporation. they're well prepped for what to do next after their inevitable downfall imo they just stall as long as possible.
