I drive a vehicle apt for me, a white ford escort van, for tossing my victims in the back or luring them with free candy

Laptop hard drive broke, need new one, dunno what to do next.

Call Dell, and they will send you one in the post if you say you're happy to fit it "5 months I've had the piece of shit and it borked. Fuck's sake!" hohoho, hard drives fail with no real pattern, especially in a machine that gets moved about a lot, it has nothing to do with the laptop -
Trillian Astra finally left private beta so I have no idea why anybody would use the official msn client

I disagree. When I was 15 I saved up money for absolutely fucking ages and bought a force feedback steering wheel for about £80 which was a shitload at the time, and it was worth it. £99 for a G25 is crazy cheap. GT5 is the only game that would make me buy a PS3

Easily the best simulation racer there is around now. Still got my eye on GT5, though.

This is seriously awesome. Fuck the DLC though, you miss out on the Vice City radio, and buying the disk saves you space on your HDD. Yes, your old TLAD save games all work with the disk.

Use a proper theme (that is to say, the old school black and purple Cube Europe one) and it stretches horizontally to fill the entire screen
-
Why do people give a shit that it got ported? It's not like it stole the game from your hands

I downsized as a result of moving home (used to have 4 monitors at the same time) to just two: 1280x1024 and 1680x1050. I do sorely miss having 4 monitors though, so when I move out, you bet your ass it's back to 4

Speed yes, but amount - it does matter. I'm pretty drunk so I don't remember the exact deal, but it limits your number below a certain amount, although I think it's about 1.25GB or something

The codename was Blackcomb before Vista (Longhorn) was released, and then Vienna around the time Vista was launched. I don't really have a problem with Windows 7, except for the fact it is infact Windows NT 6.1, so if they call NT7 Windows 8, it's going to get needlessly confusing

Linux Mint is based on Ubuntu but allows closed source binaries to be packaged with, so you get support out of the box you don't get with vanilla Ubuntu. Basically, I'd recommend Linux Mint for the home user http://www.linuxmint.com/

Best advice all thread

I haven't been on Bamboozle for maybe 6 years
-
I got to 5 minutes before being unable to watch (and thus closing iPlayer) and wanting to punch them in the face
-
Bamboozle was cool, I completely admit But otherwise, honestly, nobody, nobody gives the slightest fuck about analogue teletext anymore

You could connect a coathanger and get a perfect signal since you're in London, no doubt

Surely untrue: 480p at 16:9 is 852x480 - neither resolution TV (1280x720 or 1920x1080) has pixel doubling (to anyone counting at home, 1704x960, which would be achievable on a 1080p TV with 1:1 scaling, albiet with big ass black bars all sides) - they're all using fractions of a pixel, so both will look slightly fuzzy (still fine though, in practice, you're sat way back). Also, most TVs still overscan, losing any benefit of matching native resolutions (although it's always worth looking through the menus!) To ignore the rest of this petty argument, the main question was a decision between a 42" Plasma and a 32" LCD - honestly, I'd take the plasma anyday (especially since it's much, much larger!), the burn in issues are no longer so bad, and almost all now should have a feature that makes the image shift by a few pixels every so often, not noticeable, but prevents each element from being in the same state for too long. Also, I've played Wii on a 42" plasma, and I honestly thought it looked perfectly acceptable in 576i over composite
-
Because that matters in the slightest for the 480p output of the wii, but hey, yeah, lets talk about image quality like we're all qualified to do so Maybe he had a really old one. I have a friend whose family have a 42" Hitachi plasma in their lounge that I helped wall mount, and it doesn't put out significant heat

I'd guess the fan on your graphics card is fucked and the chip has overheated.

Haha, I find it amusing people got in a twist about an off hand comment that didn't matter in the slightest As far as I'm concerned if you want to stay at home that's your call, I'm just always amazed at how far Letty has to come, and then people who are 5 minutes walk away make excuses not to come
-
Please, any stupid bastard who complains about their travelling distance, or isn't coming because of such a reason, needs to look at this image and shut up
