  1. Oh jeez, this'll be incredibly tough given how varied the 3DS's library is! Dx Animal Crossing: New Leaf Resident Evil Revelations Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward Monster Hunter Generations Etrian Odyssey Nexus
  2. Rocket League

@Glen-i @Sofiz I booted up the game just now, and it looks like you guys are already in a match. Can I join in when you're done? ^^
  3. Subject to change, since I haven't played the Wii in years: Xenoblade Chronicles Trauma Team Resident Evil: Darkside Chronicles Silent Hill: Shattered Memories Wii Sports (This is the big placeholder game that'll probably get changed.)
  4. Rocket League

*Intense sweating* S-Such a hard fought battle! I didn't think it'd require so much effort just to get an achievement, but thank god that crucible is over! tl;dr Yee.
  5. Rocket League

I'm ready! Looks like Sofiz is online as well, so that just leaves Nick. ^^
  6. Rocket League

What would you describe “afternoon” as? I’ll be at work and probably won’t be online ‘till around 5:30PM that day. Edit: For those interested as well, my RocketID is "Vanilla#3207".
  7. Rocket League

Sure, I’m down to get this achievement! Although I’m actually at work right now, so could we try to arrange for it to be done sometime later tonight? I’ll be free anytime after 7PM. ^^
  8. Rocket League

Done! Anyone else is free to hit me up if they wanna share Steam IDs.
  9. The Witcher 3: Complete Edition

It's honestly a feat of technology, being able to put The Witcher 3 onto the Switch. I'd definitely recommend it to anybody whose a fan of RPGS or the like. It's a solid game with great worldbuilding, amazing visuals (not so sure on the Switch tho. huehuehue. :P) and the greatest card game in all of existence; GWENT!!!
  10. Super Cool Guy celebrates birthday

    Happy birthday, @S.C.G !!!
  11. Rocket League

I actually bought this game during the Steam Sale earlier during the week! Dunno if there's any spaces available, but I can try to play whenever there's a chance to.
  12. Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night (Wii U)

Oh man, this game was an utter gem to play. I backed it yeaaaaars ago, so it's quite the surreal experience getting to actually play some concept you invested in. On paper, it's definitely more akin to the Sorrow games than most other Metroidvanias, albeit more fleshed out. Grinding for shards is one thing, but then buffing them from monster drops really adds an extra bit of depth to the grinding hell that these games can be known for. Techniques were fairly nifty, but they really seem to be biased more towards the katana than any other weapon type in the game. Bit disappointing, that. Bosses were... okay? I dunno. They certainly felt more memorable in CoTM but you can argue the difference in gameplay is probably the root of it. The meticulous patterns you need to follow and learn in CoTM defintiely stuck with me more than just being able to melt them with a spammy barrage of TEPS OCEUS. ^^; I've got more to say on the game, but I'll come back to it when I've got more free time. That's just some initial thoughts on the whole game so far.
  13. Pokémon Mystery Dungeon

Well, I'm alive! Kinda. So it turns out that Mystery Dungeon is somewhat addicting. And by somewhat, I mean beating Blue Rescue Team, Explorers of Sky and working my way through Super Mystery Dungeon since I last logged into this place. ^^; Blue was pretty good, EoS was awesome and so far I really appreciate the gameplay changes that Super has made.
  14. Pokémon Mystery Dungeon

So I've never actually played any games in this series whatsoever, but CEX was offering copies of Red & Blue Rescue Team for reasonable prices. I enjoyed Touhou: Genso Wanderer and was told that these games are essentially in the same vein as that. I love Pokémon. I love dungeon crawlers. It seems like a match made in heaven. Noticing that there wasn't a specific thread for these games aside from Super Mystery Dungeon's, I was wondering would it be alright to get a spoiler-free discussion going while I wait for the games to arrive? Heard they're meant to be pretty damn good.
  15. Filled it out too. Best of luck with whatever you're doing. ^^ Though I did have a small chuckle at listing "Pokemon Go" as an exclusive Nintendo IP.
  16. Pokémon Mystery Dungeon

Is this a vague at yourself? Feels like the Kecleon profile aesthetic of yours tells some sort of story. I'll definitely keep an eye out for SMD! The reviews I've seen tended to be mediocre, but we all know that mainstream gaming media dislike anything they can't shovel down their throats in a few hours.
  17. Labyrinth of Refrain: Coven of Dusk

It was a very enjoyable experience! Genuinely disappointed when it ended because who knows when Nippon Ichi next decides to make another non-Disgaea game. If I recall correctly, there was a really overpowered pact for the Theatrical Star that make them nigh-unkillable thanks to insanely high dodge rates.
  18. Pokémon Mystery Dungeon

Ah jeez. Thanks for the warm welcome, everyone! I'd normally quote you all, but that'd probably make this post a formatting mess. ^^; The reasoning behind getting both Blue and Red Rescue Team is mostly because seeing a boxed copy of a GBA game for £12 was just too tempting to pass up. I think I'll still be playing the DS version, but I am a collector at heart. If I like it enough and it comes to getting either Darkness, Time or Sky, I'd say I'll get the latter seeing as people say it's the holy grail third version for Gen 4 PMD. Apparently the fandom is pretty mixed on every game past Sky? Maybe you guys would know best about that, but I'll keep an open-mind for the time being. No sense denouncing extra content before I get a chance to see it. Not too worried about the slow-burning plot. Etrian Odyssey never really gets a story until the final main dungeon. lol. Plus reading VNs helps to build patience towards a sluggish narrative. Mature tones sounds good, though! Can't wait to see what's in store. I'm assuming Kecleon is the shop keeper? I ain't shook. In Genso Wanderer, most attempts at stealing are met with an omnipotent and extremely judgmental girl* smiting you on the spot. *She's literally a Judge. That's her character trope. See, I made a funny.
  19. Yakuza 0 (PS4)

I have spotted the Yakuza thread. I've got a love-hate relationship with Yakuza's achivements/trophies. On one hand, they're not stupidly annoying to get. i.e. You just need to play the game's content and not do much else. On the other hand... some of said content is stupid and worthlessly grindy. *Cough* Mahjong *Cough*. As far as the series goes, I'd rank it up there with some of my favourites. It's really hard to find a game these days with such a silly amount of side content and stupid hijinks like Yakuza has. Makes me glad that Sega kept itself hanging in there so the series could get a resurgence.
  20. Etrian Odyssey Nexus

Yup! I'd honestly say they're the best all-rounder for reacting to any situation the game can toss it you. That being said, I'm still undecided whether I should replace them with a Highlander or keep going as the party currently is. Their damage potential is pretty appealing. Nooooo. I hate those! Anything with a sliding mechanic makes my brain fart itself into oblivion. ^^; But recently I went into Giant's Ruins and hated it. Honestly the most No-Fun-Allowed dungeon I've encountered in the series.
  21. Etrian Odyssey Nexus

Just about. They actually do drop off in terms of usefulness towards the later parts of the game, but having two Impact Pugilists more than made up for that. I think my current party layout consist of a Hero & Farmer in front row being backed up by a Arcanist, Sovereign and Ninja. Probably not the most efficient party but they've been doing well so far!
  22. Etrian Odyssey Nexus

Essentially, Necromancers tended to excel in every role a party could need. Need a tank? Get your Necromancer to pump out a 9999HP Wraith on some FOEs. Need chunky damage? Discard said Wraith before they're due to vanish for nearly 10k damage. Heck, they even get access to a very early and reliable AOE poison attack that can cheese most mobs with a decent tank in the party. That being said, maybe Pugilist was the true "OP" class, but they required mid-game ability investment before they see any sizable returns.
  23. Castlevania 3 Kid Icarus Super Mario Bros. 3 Earthbound Beginnings BurgerTime
  24. Steins;Gate Elite

It also comes with a Famicom-era demake of the original game if you buy it on Switch. PC users get a never-before translated version of Linear Bounded Phenogram which is a non-canon series of what-if scenarios. Both sound really good, but I'd probably lean more towards new content.
  25. Animal Crossing: New Leaf

Lord help me, I bought two boxes of Series 1 and Series 3 amiibo cards. I managed to fill the Series 3 album with some spares, but the Series 1 set was mostly duplicates! Worst thing is, I had to import it from America and pay £22 on customs... Wish they hadn't gone out of print, but Nintendo do be on that artificial scarcity. At least when I reboot this town I can fill it with my favourites without much effort.
