  1. Name Changes

Feeling like a change myself xD, can I please request a name change to "Scratch"? Edit: Thanks!
  2. Show off your Christmas Swag!

    Merry Christmas y'all! 🎅🎄☃❄
  3. Final Fantasy VII Remake

Hmmm if anyone would prefer to play on Steam, it might be worth holding out after all. I've found a couple of Reddit threads which hint at a Steam release. One says that a "Steam Dev App" has been found for FF7R, and another says a config file references Steam in the game's PC files. Both could just be Square Enix covering themselves, and this isn't exactly actual confirmation of a Steam version.
  4. Sonic Frontiers

I think Sonic could really suit an open world game, possibly more than other video game characters due to his speed and therefore ability to travel large areas fast. Looking forward to more info on this!
  5. PC Gaming Discussion

YEEEEEES I can FINALLY PLAY it! (And also now I will never need to buy a PS4 or PS5 xD) Day 1 buy for me! Like many others, would have preferred Steam (or just no "gaming client" required at all), but I'll take it!
  6. I wasn't going to buy BDSP either... now I'm postgame with a level 80 team and three quarters through the Sinnoh dex lol xD.
  7. Sorry I meant X Items as in, X Attack, X Defend and so on, they used to raise happiness 2 points a time but I don't think they do in these games. Edit: That's a good tip about the berries though, I'll give that a try.
  8. I'm not certain I did the test correctly, but I don't think using X items boosts Pokemon friendship anymore, which is a shame because it was a quick (although slightly pricey) way to do it.
  9. E4 defeated! 25 hours play, team between Lv60 and 70: Luxray, Garchomp, Bronzong, Roserade, Gyarados, Rapidash. The main E4 crew put up a decent fight, but Cynthia defeated me on my first attempt. My Toxic Spikes strategy was no good. xD I thought I was prepared for Cynthia, but I guess not as well as I thought. On my second attempt, T-Wave with Luxray, switched to Roserade, Leech Seed, Roserade faints after a turn or two, switch to Gyarados, 5x or 6x Dragon Dance (I lost count), a bit of luck with Paralysis and Gyarados "dodging in time to my shout" and sweep. Although even with all the DD a couple Pokemon still took two hits. But E4 done. Looking forward to continuing with the post game and then having a good ol attempt at the National Dex. Although I only really care if I get all the ones I don't need to trade for, and consider the trade ones a bonus (although I will have a go at getting them). After that I might have a go at the battle tower, but tbh I don't know if I can be bothered with the necessary breeding/EV training etc. xD Although it's certainly not over yet, I am already glad I bought Pokemon Shining Pearl. I hope they do HGSS in this way (as unlikely and random as that may be!).
  10. I just completed a Pokemon BDSP survey and for some reason I used one of the feedback boxes to tell them to patch Let's Go with Pro Controller compatibility. xD
  11. I have a question on how exp distribution works in this game. The best way I can explain my question is with example, I've most likely got the amounts wrong, but hopefully it will make sense. Let's say I defeated a level 20 Bidoof, no switching Pokemon. If I had 6 Pokemon on my team, my first Pokemon will get so much exp, let's just say 500, and the others will also get so much (a little less), let's say 300. But, if when I defeated the Bidoof, I only had 2 Pokemon on my team. Will my first Pokemon still get 500, and the other one 300, or will it be different, like would they both get more? I hope I've explained the question well enough! What I'm trying to figure out is if I'm trying to raise a lower level Pokemon up to level of the rest of my team, is there any benefit to removing Pokemon from my team while training (e.g. just having a high level one and the one I'm trying to catch up until if can fend for itself) (and other than my entire team becoming overleveled xD) Edit: And I've just realised it probably would have took me 5 minutes to test this myself, so sorry about that lol xD. I'll edit this post later with the results if no-ones replied by then!
  12. Return of Gamesmaster

Think I'll give this a go as it goes... but I'm rage quitting at the first hint of celebrities semi-sarcastically pretending they're gamers. xD
  13. Hmmm I just thought, considering all 493 Gen 1-4 Pokemon are in these, including following Pokemon. They could "relatively easily" re-remake HGSS with the engine from these games. Whether that's a good idea or not though is a discussion of its own though I guess.
  14. What the heck is with the Egg you get from that Hiker guy? I've been cycling around like a wally for ages and no change. D: Are the egg hatching mechanics different in these games?
  15. Do we have any info on things like Nature mints, bottle caps, Ability Capsules and resetting EVs yet? Regardless I'm really playing pretty casual and not caring about these things at all for my story playthrough. But it would be nice to know I can set my Pokemon up how I like after I beat the E4, should I feel like it one day. And sure I know I can breed new ones, but one thing I liked about SwSh was that I could take my in-game team which I'd grown attached to and set them up for the Battle Tower and some online battles. xD Edit: Also I lol'd at how casually that guy gave me a Jirachi, like a super rare mythical Pokemon, "here take this". xD
  16. Man the exp share is making this easy so far... I really feel like these games would benefit from a challenge mode where there are level caps throughout the game so you're forced to strategize. Edit: Although I guess I could try skipping more trainers/wild Pokemon battles.
  17. Your 2021 Gaming Diary

After OOT I moved onto Ecco the Dolphin. A few years ago I competed it once before, and while I enjoyed it, I used save states and always felt like I never really beat it. This time, I decided to do it properly. I did use save states, but only at points where you can continue from using a password anyway. The game doesn't have a built in save system, each time you beat a level it gives you a password to type in to continue from that point. So all I gained was not having to type the password when I returned to the game. A few days ago, after much difficulty (although I had a great time), I reached the final level, "Welcome to the Machine". The game's tough all the way through, but the final level is something else. You have 10 minutes of extreme difficulty, followed by a really tough boss. No checkpoints. You actually manage to reach the boss and mess up? Tough. Back to the machine! Well, after many, many, MANY tries, I beat it tonight! YAY!... Except no I didn't. Sure, the boss's final defeated animation began playing. But I made the mistake of assuming I was safe. During the boss battle, lots of enemies spawn. There was still one around, and it proceeded to "jump" down and insta kill me and I didn't react in time. Back to The Machine. As Sonic has said in the past... SH...oot. I ran out of opportunity to play anymore today at this point, so I'll try again tomorrow. xD After this I'm gonna play... Pokemon Shining Pearl. xD And if I don't manage to beat Ecco by the time of its release, I may very well save completing Ecco for a future me lol.
  18. Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy

Apparently they've took out a lot of good songs as well. Edit: I guess on PC they could be modded back in...
  19. The decision to give Mew if Let's Go save data detected seems kinda odd... Since the PokeBall Plus was kinda released for Let's Go, so Let's Go trainers are the most likely of anyone to already have a Mew. Although I guess no-one would complain about having two legit Mews. xD
  20. Your 2021 Gaming Diary

Well I've finished Ocarina of Time, and had an absolute blast. I didn't QUITE get 100% - I did everything except I missed the one perma missable (you lose one of the Deku Nut capacity upgrades if you do the Biggoron Sword Quest before you do that), and got bored of looking for the remaining spiders at 75 (forgot to print out that checklist lol). I did collect all of the Dungeon spiders though. This was my first playthrough in, let's just say a long time xD, and I really enjoyed it a lot. It remains my favourite Zelda and definitely one of my top games ever. Due to such a long break I was expecting the controls/physics to feel clunky or tanky or something, and I was completely proven wrong. It plays excellently all these years later and they absolutely got it right the first time. I even spent some time looking into the different timelines and stuff like that, it's interesting stuff. As unlikely as it is at this point, I really hope they do a game between MM and TP to show if Link ever *spoiler 1* and perhaps shows what happened to that version of Hyrule a bit more. There's some speculation as to where BOTW is on the timeline... *spoiler 2* I'll probably play Ecco next or just try out the different games on the Mega Drive/N64. When MM comes out I'll definitely be playing that. Another gaming choice I've made is to skip Pokemon BDSP... I've played through DPP a few times and not sure if BDSP really looks like that much of an upgrade enough to make me want to play it again yet. DPP is (unpopular opinion I know) my least favourite Gen/Region anyway. And finally I really went for it with SwSh and I'm not sure if I really feel like starting the whole Pokemon process over right now. I also change my mind like the wind and this paragraph might be a complete load of rubbish!
  21. Saaaame. Well I made a Yahoo account years ago and literally never use it for anything. Now it has a purpose. xD
  22. Ocarina of Time is every bit as brilliant as I remember. That is all.
  23. Had an hour or so on it, mostly OOT and a little Ecco! OOT ran lag-free for me so far, played up until after defeating the first boss. Really nice to be playing it again! I've just remembered about the Gold spiders and I'm definitely gonna print out a checklist so I don't have to explore the entirety of Hyrule 1000 times for the last few. Ecco was slightly laggy when there were a lot of sprites on screen, not un-playable but definitely noticeable. This is similar to my LttP experience. Bit disappointing tbh, surely the Switch can handle Mega Drive emulation! xD But it's good enough that I'm happy to continue playing. On a side note, I remembered that Ecco was tough, but sheesh, I think I forgot just how much! Already died twice and I'm barely into the first actual level lol. xD Hopefully it will balance out once I get used to the physics a bit. I'd really like to complete it only using suspend points between levels (where you can start from that point using a password anyway). Each to their own, but in both cases I found the controls fine and not awkward or difficult. And I definitely would complain if there was something wrong with them! So despite some lag, a positive experience overall. I give it 8/10 oranges. 🍊🍊🍊🍊🍊🍊🍊🍊⚫⚫
  24. Although I do think it's too expensive, I'm still 100% going to be part of the problem, buying it tomorrow and starting my first OOT playthrough in many years. xD
  25. Nice, hopefully they won't mind I registered with two diff email addresses since I have two saves. xD Anyone know if they have the Rusty Sword/Shield attached?
