  1. I'm also pretty sure that if we see a Smash release this year, it'll be a re-master/re-release of the Wii U/3DS versions. I never owned a Wii U, but have played the 3DS version a little. I only own an original 3DS, and the scrren size made playing it too much not a particularly attractive proposition so I'd welcome the chance to play again on a bigger screen and with all available features and characters there for the unlocking. I'm wondering if it's a good release to showcase their paid online offering, given that Smash has historically had a large multiplayer base. If the two were released around the same time, I think it could draw a lot of people into their online ecosystem and hopefully lock them in for the full yearly membership.
  2. General Retro Discussion

I was sat on the pre-order page of the Super NT for a while tonight, but can't quite bring myself to push the button. I think the decision to ship it without a controller in the box is super weird for sure, and from what Jeff was saying they're still actively patching it so I might give it a month or so after release and re-evaluate whether it's worth dropping the cash for one.
  3. Deadpool 2

I wasn't all that big on the Deadpool movie the first time around honestly, and I haven't watched it since. The trailer for this one looks pretty good so far, but I hope they do some more character building rather than going all out action like the most recent trailer showed.
  4. Metroid Prime 4 (Switch)

I'm willing to reserve judgement until we seem some trailers or hear some more information at least. I'm really hoping they can pull it off and release a quality product that lives up to expectations - goodness knows it's been a while since the last 3D Metroid game (just looked it up and I can't believe Metroid Prime 3 was released in 2007... time flies!).
